You know what's funny? When I read your post I kind of already assumed you were a Muslim man lol. The thing with religion is ,you are, in a way indoctrinated at a very young age to believe that these beliefs are right so you see nothing wrong with it but from the outside looking in there is a lot of things wrong with this belief.

Asian is too broad a term to generalize where women are treated as second class citizens. Women are definitely not considered second class citizens in east Asian and SEA societies. Are you Indian? or Arab perhaps? Maybe even Muslim?
