On What Comes after Love Sep 30, 2024
There isn't much action and the story is nothing new but the adaption is beautiful with a wonderful OST. Lee Se Young is gorgeous as always (I get envious, not even a tiny wrinkle on her face) and the ML is also doing a good job. The drama feels like Kdrama and Jdrama on the same time. It is a nice mixture of two cultures. I recommend it for more matures viewers since it focuses realistically on the relationship between two grown ups without any typical drama, shouting or any other hysterical reactions.

I binge watched all ten epsiodes. It is a good drama with well done comedy. I must say that my personal highlight was the relationship between the younger sister and the CEO. Both are adorable and their love story was really unique. Can't wait for the spinoff.

As for the main leads... At the beginning both had amazing chemistry but somehow it got lost during the later episodes. Especially after his hair cut. Wish he didn't take off his glasses. His acting felt at that time just more intense.

Also the polyamorous relationship felt really forced, off the place and not believable. Felt like the producers were trying hard to make the plot less mainstream.

Apart from that it is a good decision that there are only 12 episodes. It is a good watch but now at episodes 10 I am glad that it comes to an end since the conflicts starting to feel a bit forced.

Hi Jade, sorry for my late reply, totally forgot to answer. I haven't watched Love Next Door yet but I must say that your enthusiasm is contagious: D Really excited to start this. What I really loved about TRS was that after every rewatching (at least 4 times) I would understand the drama even better because of the so many easter eggs... the drama is like big beautiful poem with so much depths. Hard to find such a gem again πŸ₯²

Almost 3 episodes in. Unfortunately, I already have many issues with the show. The King's death, even if I was…
Well said. Love Jeon Jong Seo (like in The Call) but here unfortunately she lacks presence to be the main character and especially as a powerful queen. There is a disbalance between her and the King (the ML has played his role so far convincing) - hard to believe that both are in love with each other.

Don't agree. The rating is low because of the bad acting especially from the FL and the average plot and character…
Yes I am there with you. It was just irking me that people were treating this drama like some kind of masterpiece which is unfairly rated just because of nudity. The minority is talking about the obviously failures and bad aspects of the production and adaption or like already said the lackluster acting of the FL.

i Must be getting old coz i dont find the sex scenes super-shocking like some people here. Watch Game of Thrones.…
What a weird suggestion. I don't have any problems with erotic thrillers but do you even know how much misery, misogyny, human trafficking and exploitation is involved in todays mainstream porn?! Please read "Pornland" by Dr. Gail to educate yourself more.

I don’t know how to tell you guys this but the show having less ratings because of the UNNECESSARY nudity is…
Don't agree. The rating is low because of the bad acting especially from the FL and the average plot and character adaption. Apart from the visiuals there is nothing really outstanding about this drama. Even the lightning is awful. The story is interesting enough to keep watching but in general the series is okayish.

I only watched her in The Call where she was very good, but she's miscast here. Her looks, body language and tone…

How much nudity does it have?
I think only ep 3 is clean.
Every episode has 1 or 2 nudity scenes. No fully naked people but heavy making out with differens positions and hinted intercourse or having sex from behind, so that the woman is naked but the man fully clothed.

Some people here loving it because of nudity and some people are hating it because of hating it it's really hard…
People are blaming for the low rating users who are not comfortable with the unnecessary se* scenes.

But I actually think the rating is totally deserved if you focus on story and acting. Currently I would give it a 7.0 or 6.5. The acting from the FL is really weak, she is not suited for such a powerful role. There are too many characters for 8 episodes, they are introduced way too fast, so it is hard to remember their names or what interests they have. On top is is hard to feel sympathy for anyone. Also it is not easy to understand the intentions of the characters. E.g. why does the Queen even go looking for the 3rd prince if he is well known for being a psychopath? There are also ther examples.
Also the the light is too weak- You can't see anything properly.

The only well done things are the costumes and the setting.

Wow drama!Casting is great..both leads and prime minister!!Didn't like JCW character to die...even though suspense…
I think they let her go because the 3rd prince actually promised them an exciting hunting race, since the prince described the queen and her servants as "rabbits".

But during the hunting scene the queen protected bravely her servants as a shield and even offered herself voluntarily. I think that's why the desire to hunt them just diminished and the white tigers gave up.

1- She is supposed to be a tomboy who wanted to be a general.....etc.2- Bad acting. Sorry but the actress's portrayal…
Agree. Though I am a big fan of JJS she isn't suited for such a role. Her screen presence is too weak, hard to take her for the powerful and clever queen.

I wonder if the rating is dropping because of the sex scenes or that their favorite actor Ji Chang Wook (or character)…
I also have the same problem with the darkness. Especially when she went to 3rd prince and passed the forrest in the darkness. Bad lightning so far I have usually encountered with Netflix series, not korean shows.
