MDL rating is once again just cra*...

Once again I am glad that I didn't check out the comments on MDL before. Would have just spoiled the fun.

Thought it was damn good, perfect pace, really good acting and a quite unexpected tragic story which teared out my heart. Best episode was ep 4 with her friend who was also a hostess. Only complain is in the spoiler.

Highly recommend.

Right now at the 5th episode and gosh I am so fed up with this Japanese girl Tsuki.

Always screaming like an idiot and putting everyone in danger. Because of ther Jonathan got bitten and why didn't she help him by distracting the zombies? After all she was in the cage. Don't want to watch anymore.

Thanks for your review. I just feel the same and didn't expect someone else having the same thoughts. It was a nice feel good drama (though boring especially at the end) but sometimes it really felt like propaganda. Like you said; she is the ideal girlfriend, perfect little family with a few struggles, perfect neighbourhood and so on. Everything shines, is modern and chic. You also see the same in KDramas though nowadays they also show the bad parts of korean cultur but it is rarely the same for Cdramas.

As a fellow Muslim this whole discussion is getting ridiculous. Never saw Arabs protecting south or east asian people on the internet who are treated like slaves in KSA. Never saw Arabs condemning their government for buying weapons from Germany and killing Yemenis. Never saw Arabs condemning the genocide on Uygur, Rohynga or Kashmir people. I could write much more but I won't. You guys are bothered by a bunch of stereotypes portrayed by a romcom about a millionaire who doesn't represent a typical Arab though Arabs here in Europe are famous for clubbing and being flirty especially around white women. Now you all are acting like children, pointing out racism and trashing a drama and its actors who are just doing their work to pay their bills. Stop with this hypocrisy. Not all Arabs are saints, deal with it. This drama will succeed, regardless of your tantrums.

No-one has pointed out that Sarang truly stayed throughout the latest eps really professional. I think she handled the situation really sensitively especially regarding the proposal scene. She really cares for her guests ☝️

Are you for real? If you are that strict about customs and cultures you should first look at yourself. Watching Korean dramas is also not appropriated, since they kiss and sometimes also make out. But you still do it. It baffles me that some people think all Arabs are saints.

Yes this behaviour is really childish. You can't come with reasonable arguments since like you said people are making fake accounts... they just want to vent. It is a war you can't win, just time will help. The alcoholic argument is so dumb... You can find alcohol everywhere in Dubai. What makes me really furious how everyone is just talking about the topic but hardly no-one about the performance especially by the leads. The steamy kiss doesn't get the recognition it actually deserves:'(.

And now to the ep 8 itself: what an ending!! Haha at first I was really suspicious why his cookings skills turned out to be so perfect, wasn't prepared for the ending! Totally hot! I can imagine that Gu Won is a good kisser xD What I really really love is how comfortable both are with each other compared to the beginning. Their interactions seem to be so natural!

So finally I have completed ep 8 and now I can also contribute my 2 cents: I am pissed, really. But more on the fans rather than on the drama. As a Muslim myself who knows that media constantly likes to trash us I was prepared for the worst. We all know how bad korean media portays other cultures, their obsession with white people and Japanese always being the enemy.

But after watching the latest ep I thought: that's it? Islam and a specific country was never mentioned. Samir is just like Gu Won shown as a spoiled rich brat but he never treats Sarang bad, infact he accepts her rejection and even Gu Won as a friend. Yes rich people and also Arab drink wine (never been to Dubai?) and they also date. And Samir as a millionaire isn't the typical Arab man.

Honestly, I can't stand sometimes people on the internet. Always nitpicking and looking for a new shitstorm. I am really glad that I don't look so much into the toxic comment section on MDL- just spoils mood.

Honestly drama watchers are sometimes so childish... really embarrassing. Why don't they hate on the page of jtbc?

Awww ep 7 was soo good!!! The scene with Gu Won and Sarang setting the table was so sweet; this adorable dork is so in love with her. And the banters between him and the prince were so funny. Best part in the palace and Gu Won having a deja vu, so nice seeing him back in traditional clothes. This ep was so perfect and wholesome, loved everything!!

I haven't watched the latest ep yet, so I don't kow what they did wrong. I am not Arab but I can understand if a poor representation hurts feelings and people need to vent off but it is unfair to bomb a whole drama with 1 stars, seems like a revenge to me. But you are right, at least we have a context with reviews

Why is it allowed to leave a review for a drama if it is still ongoing? I see so many 1 Star-Reviews, this is totally unfair if the drama isn't completed yet. Once again the rating on MDL is not reliable .
