The synopsis reminds me strongly of Marcus Chang's "Back to 1989". It was a real masterpiece for me and I cried buckets. One of my personal hidden gems in East Asian Cinema.

Not sure if I should watch this one - usually I have been disappointed so far from KDramas with high ratings (like AoS, IOTBNO, CLOY etc.). MDL users are much more generous with rating when it comes to KDramas.

My only complain so far would be the really short eps... it doesn't make much sense since it isn't even pure comedy.

After rewatching ep 4 ( and its hottt ending!) so many times I am really looking forward for today's episode.

I really like it that the FL is the one with the dark personality (usually it is the other way around and the viewers would gush over the ML no matter how fk he would be. But the FL must be apparently always the one with the shining personality who would save the ML from his tormented past, never the other way around 🙄).

Jup. I watched all of us are dead but at that time I didnt pay much attention to him. But dayum he is fine. And When he entered the shoe Fabric in his suit…. This was so hot af🔥

Edit: Holy moly goodness, the kiss in ep 4 was so unexpected. Didn't expect such a hot scene!

And damn, when he entered confidently the room in the shoe factory in black suit and and his determined expression I was screaming internally. Lomon is surely a handsome fella. 🔥

Yes the budget is clearly low but top notch acting. And the kiss I had to rewatch so many times. Didn't expect such a hot scene, especially since the ML seems to be so innocent. 🔥

Me also. Wanted to give it a 9 but instead decided for a 10 because of the low rating. Both leads are doing a fantastic job so far.

The budget is low and it is a noona romance. And as far as I see no popular idol. And the FL has a dark personality. But the acting is fantastic and the OST also. You can already sense the chemistry between the leads.

I also like her. She has a pretty interesting character. Love the contrast between her and ML. Usually it is a ML who has the dark personality. Really refreshing.

Once again I am glad not reading the comments before starting a drama. It would just spoil the fun. Only 7.6? The drama is already trashed by the viewers without giving it a real chance. After watching three eps I really like it so far. The FL is a real b*ch, strong, clever, totally driven by power seeking. And somehow likeable. It is a stark contrast to the ML who is an innocent brave puppy. Great acting from the leads. Really looking forward to the upcoming eps. The OST at the end is really catchy. And even though the budget is clearly low no stupid beauty filter. Finally you can see the skin texture of the actors.

And btw...As a vegan myself I am laughing about outrage regarding the animal testing in the comment section. South Korea is one of nations with the most meat consumption, everywhere on the earth animals are living under awful conditions on farms, waiting to be slaughtered one day and being presented neatly in the supermarket. Your fake crying is really hypocritical if you are not a vegan yourself.

I see a happy ending for both coming:) Maybe without a final kiss but at least a hint that they will end up together. Otherwise it wouldn't suit the light tenor of the drama. She already sacrificed so much in her life, it would be cruel to also take away the love of her life.

By now our adorable captain is totally smitten by Yeo Hwa. It is also crystal clear that she is totally captivated by him, whenever the tension rises she tries to make fun jokes just to escape the spell. On the same time she deeply cares for him and doesn't want him to feel bad just because she got hurt🥹 Can't wait when those two love birds will finally confess their feelings for each other!

Or my English is not good enough for such a complex drama 😅 At least I had to rewatch the first couple of scenes so many times till I finally gave up, it is quite interesting that the pace is right from the beginning so fast. I think Bai Lu is since Till the end of the moon my favorite Chinese actress for costume dramas. Not only she is a fantastic actress but also I love her confident mature appearance. i think the role of a empress suits her. I will definitely try to watch this drama again, your words were really helpful 😌

You are welcome. I think the brother is around the age of the FL who should be 32. I think it is intended by the screen writers to show two parings with age gap and to have a contrast. I actually think that it is well done

It broke clearly the heart of the captain when he saw the FL crying 😢. Great acting! Once again a fantastic episode. I was laughing so hard about the first scene when she met the brother. Had to rewatch it so many times and of course every scene with the leads together!! I am living for their sizzling chemistry!

Btw the brother must be a giant, I mean the ML is around 1,84 m and his shoulders doesn't reach the ones of his brother's
