I wanted to write a review on this just now too, but your review expresses all of my thoughts to perfection so I don't need to do it anymore...There were a lot of moments the drama got me emotional, but one of the most disconcerting things to me besides some portrayals, was indeed the FL's stalking and cohercing behaviors being rewarded and *SPOILERS*

the plottwist regarding the mom that just made absolutely no sense to me. They didn't even explain what happened to her and why she was alive in the first place....

The only reason I watched it whole was the aesthetic, I'd honestly buy all the picture books despite not liking the drama that much + the actors were pretty good too. Anyway, great review!

Hello, First of all great review. I relate so much with your review. I really struggled to finish this series.…
Oh wow that's indeed amazing! Hi there ! XD

I did start dropping shows now tho. When you don't have a lot of time anymore stuff change...🤣 If it were today I'd have probably dropped this drama way faster than I did. (Even tho I eventually completed it since it was just one episode...) .
Anyway, amazing coincidence !

I've been watching k-dramas for less than two years now and I no longer 'suffer' when some of them disappoint…
Yeah, same. xD I refuse to suffer through anything anymore, there's just not enough time for that lol

Title Tale of the Nine-Tailed Spoiler
I honestly hope that the female main lead is not the one Lee Yeon is looking for. I just think it'd make it more interesting. He can fall in love with her, I just think that a mystical being pinning for a woman for hundreds of years is a bit outfashioned nowadays xD Because it's just such a standard plot point for these sort of love stories between "spirits/demons" and humans.
(but don't get me wrong, I'm really enjoying the drama regardless till now, I just wish it'd try to do something different. Lee Yeon even said at one point that it wouldn't matter to him if the woman he loves got reborn as a man or as somebody ugly, so that's why I started thinking that it'd be interesting and quite ballsy actually if that were to actually happen xD)

First 2 eps were just ok to me.... i hope this won't be like Blade Man disaster. hehe
I think little can be worst than Blade Man XD Personally I'm really enjoying this one though. Blade Man had a concept that it didn't know how to utilise in my opinion and everything about it turned out corny; I can see how this one can be corny for some people (I actually think it might work better as an anime), but it's still a pretty valid effort. I'm enjoying it a lot. xD

Lee Dong Wook is gonna kill us with his looks in this drama. I'm also hoping for a good drama but tbh I'm already…
Seeing how he already presents himself in the trailer, yeah i think you're right haha

Here for Lee Dong Wook! i can't lie, this is the drama I've been looking forward to the most this year! The plot sounds intriguing, he looks amazing and holy sh*t a male gumiho. Now that I wanna see! That trailer looks amazing, gave me goosebumps! I'll try to not have high expectations because I really want to enjoy this show, but damn it, it's hard

Review Hotel King
I just finished watching this drama too and wow, I can't agree with you more. I'm actually surprised this drama got such a high rating for how tedious it became after halfway in. But eh, what don't I do for Lee Dong Wook....I only dropped 2 of his dramas till now and I didn't want this to be one of them seeing how much I enjoyed it for like the first 15 episodes or so....Anyway, I enjoyed your review, very well written!

Title Loving You Spoiler

Haha I get you. xD Well, if you're still interested, just for information's sake, they broke up because he chose to reveal his father's wrongdoings to the police (like the murder of main girl's father) which caused a lot of stock drop, so since his father died right before that, main guy felt responsible (since his father always treated the company as if it were his very being) so he decided to focus on rebuilding the company in memory of his father and didn't feel like it was right for main girl to have to bear with him during this time (I guess because he'd barely be with her anyway), but he promised that if she was still going to be there for him when the time comes they'll get back together. Family responsibility over love basically, a very Korean thing to do.
So yeah, we can imagine they did eventually end up together, seeing the promise; personally I had the biggest second lead syndrome lol so I like to imagine she went to Seoul and finally was able to see how much of a good man Lee Dong Wook's character was even if it's more unlikely but still...XD

I guess you can see it the way you want to. They did sort of make a promise to always keep eachother in their hearts and maybe cross eachother again one day. So if you liked the couple you can imagine they did meet again but it's pretty open to assumption xD

It honestly felt like the movie was written by two writers with entirely different ideas in mind. The first part was a heartwrenching traumatic window over prison life and the second...I don't even know how to call it; videogame-inspired? It was a real let down tbh.

@QAS I do not have much experience with C-dramas, thank you for mentioning that. I'm definitely curious to see that take on the genre ^^
On Criminal Minds Jul 27, 2017
I don't care that I'm probably adding to the negativity here, but this first episode was a pain to go through. I really did not expect the US version of Criminal minds nor do I actually want for it to be the same; the issues go way beyond that: the editing is quite awkward, reasonings were pulled out of their asses for the most part, there was bad characterization, too much telling instead of showing, use of psychological observations and dialogues were sloppy and almost obvious at times (or did criminology become such a pedestrian job when I looked away? I only studied it last year, I swear :O) , like they were saying something but at the same time they were saying nothing and lastly, despite the conflict, I just couldn't care less for anybody and anything.. That said some of the effects are nice and the actors are good, but that's about it. I'm definitely not going to continue or if I do, the reason should be really convincing.

Waughs! Thank you for your review! Again, it expressed what I felt about the drama and I did not understand why…
Thank you. Haha i still fail to understand but to each their own xD

Review Empress Ki
Agreed with most of your comments though 3.5 is a little low :p But that is your opinion and you are entitled…
Thank you for that, however I do not think it's low since Empress Ki has too many stuff that go wrong in it for me to not fully identify with that 3.5. If I'd have to put it in relation with my other reviews or other genres, I'd say that Empress Ki fails in its own genre, but also overall, while, let's say Bride of the Century (which you also commented on so I'm taking a known example) excels in its own genre, but overall it's nothing that will be particularly remembered/it doesn't do anything particularly wrong. I take this into consideration when I rate something, but I do realize that it might appear genre-biased of me from an outside perspective. It is not, I just take both sides into consideration. ^^ Empress Ki's biggest sin is that it had 50 episodes to do something and I felt like it was busier going all over the place instead, which I hope justifies my rating better. Thank you for the comment though :D
Replying to Art T Nov 13, 2016
Another agree though given how you've been rating dramas in your other reviews, you seem to be kind to this…
It's because Bride of the century manages to be a good half-supernatural romcom. Now, I do admit I might have been partly biased because of Hongki, but honestly, I have nothing against romcoms. I actually like romcoms, I just start having issues when characters tend to act stupid for the sake of drama which unfortunately is something that happens often. Less in this one because at least their stupidity lasted for 2 to 3 episodes only for them to stop dragging. But yes, I was kinder to this one because I felt it deserved the encouragement, both subjectively and quality-wise. Maybe if I'd watch it now, I'd probably rate it a bit less though.

In terms of plot, unpredictability and originality, W will surely be on top. However, the transition, character…
I need to agree with this wholeheartedly. Just that in my case, its complications and plottwisty nature just made me get tired halfway; not mentally, just simply growing cold to it, i guess :/ but it's indeed the perfect choice for somebody that likes uniqueness and unpredictability in general.
