Meaningly him never going to enter into "Inverted dreams" and going back to past to save FZ, meaningly FZ dying at the Tiandu peak only and the TLC of that timeline never meeting FZ and meeting the same tragedy as Ye Mo. It’s a loop, if you alter one event, everything changes.

Everyone has to meet death at one point and the happy ending will always be tragic at one point. People can always choose to watch what they like, this world is not short of happy endings in fictions.

Also, I do believe the ending of a drama should always be based and judged on the overall plot.
