This ending is the original ending that was decided when filming of the drama wrapped up. The ending later had been revised for twelve times but in the end, only the original ending made it to the drama.
I appreciate the screenwriter for writing this ending and creators of this drama to choose this ending despite knowing the massive criticism they would receive. Thank you for taking this risk of sticking with the original conclusion, and not just please the audience. Audience can come and go but the drama remains forever. Today the audience hates it but one day there will be audience who truly appreciate it.
Shui Long Yin is Shui Long Yin and will never be the drama you want it to be. Nobody force anyone to watch it, you all came to it by yourself. “The wind blows the tiles on the roof, and a tile falls and hits my head, is it the wind’s fault, tile’s fault or my fault for standing beneath the roof?”
everything turned back again but no one knows him anymore.... Is it Worth?
Burning himself to illuminate all living beings, and silently protecting this world as a fox-dragon, it is worth it. Whether others hate or love him, remembers him or not, it doesn’t matter to him. It’s all his choice.
The problem with Ah Shui fans is that they’re being delusional, treating Ah Shui’s character as if she were…
A Shui fans are clamoring that the screenwriter hates women and heterosexual romance. Isn’t that ridiculous? First of all, SLY is a Big ML drama dominated by male characters, with no female lead. It never had any official pairing and romance in the first place. Secondly, which male × male CP got a happy ending in it? Have they never watched anything with time-loop themes? This is the best conclusion the drama could ever come up with.
As the drama approaches its ending, I just have more and more questions and fewer answers. 1. What was that baby…
1. Fengfeng is an orphan child TLC picked him up to understand what it felt like to raise a child just like how Fang Zhou picked TLC up. TLC later entrusted Fengfeng to the abbot where he bids farewell to the abbot and gives the wooden doll. The scenes has been added in Ep1-2.
2. Rebirth scroll is not evil but it’s considered evil because of its negative vibrations and considered a taboo amongst mortals because of Yique Yin Yang. The one who uses this technique usually ends up getting consumed by greed and start losing their senses and goes on a path of utter madness and destruction. Just like a sword can harm but can also protect. It brings destruction but in the right hands, it flourishes.
3. The reason why Fang Zhou agreed to practice the Rebirth scroll was to prove to Tang Lici that people who possess the Rebirth scroll aren’t all monsters.
4. Because it is considered a taboo, they wouldn’t have allowed Fang Zhou to practice it if they were to know.
Bai Nanzhu is the creator of both TLC and Ye Mo, he is the one who confined TLC and kept gaslighting TLC into sacrificing himself. The one with the white hair in celestial realm played by Jason Wang. The biggest difference between Ye Mo and Bai Nanzhu is that Ye Mo would sacrifice himself for TLC whereas Bai Nanzhu wants TLC to sacrifice himself for him.
Right, Liu Yan would give rebirth scroll back to TLC in that scene only and TLC would be invincible.
"I have lost everything in this life, but A Li, you must win, and win back my share too" very heart breaking scene between them, and that’s what drive TLC to do what he should do. Their deaths in order; Liu Yan, Gui Mudan, Ye Mo, Bai Nanzhu.
They seem to have written her character to be like the usual SML in Cdrama, that start off righteous and then…
That’s what exactly Liu Yan did/doing or even worse. What I’m trying to say is that if people can like Liu Yan then people can also like Zhong Chunji. You can choose to hate her while others can choose to like her—what blooms for one may wither for another; each heart listens to its own rhythm, and even if the music jars your ear, it carries meaning for the one who dances to it.
They seem to have written her character to be like the usual SML in Cdrama, that start off righteous and then…
The drama is not over yet ;)), and who said selfish characters deserve to be hated? I would have still liked her even if she went on a killing spree, and I would root for her to pull whatever ways she can to be on the same level as TLC or even above him.
They seem to have written her character to be like the usual SML in Cdrama, that start off righteous and then…
She is a very well written morally ambiguous character to me. The problem doesn’t lie with what she is doing, the problem lies with us to judge a character either as good or bad. "Good" and "Bad" are just words. WE are the ones that created these words, gave them a purpose and used it to denounce, proclaim, judge and opinionize, even in fiction.
They seem to have written her character to be like the usual SML in Cdrama, that start off righteous and then…
It’s not just love, it’s the fear of losing everything, it’s the mockery of her by Liu Yan, it’s the thought of being looked down and despised by the others, especially by men, it’s the desperation of proving herself, and it’s also to cage TLC and to prove herself to be better than him.
They seem to have written her character to be like the usual SML in Cdrama, that start off righteous and then…
She doesn’t seem like the usual SML in cdrama who go down the villain route because of just "love" to me. She carries strong emotions and depth in her that’s keep stirring my heart.
Zhong Chunji truly makes me wonder, I want to hate her for what she did to Tang Lici but instead I want to understand her. I wonder why she got herself to be used as pawn. Is she stupid? Or just desperate? In the very depths of her heart, did she actually regret to fail herself or rejoice it? Is her mind truly full of clamor of greed and desires or if you flip them, they become fervent wishes and hopes of her?

Four years have passed, and the world has been up and down, but A Li’s world has stopped at that moment only.
