His hair colour transformation is telling his journey. The closer he gets to the end of his journey, the whiter his hair gets, means the purer state of mind he will have.

Remember in the Ep1 they mentioned "Ten years ago, the seven great masters fought the Yique Yin Yang in a life-or-death battle." Fang Zhou is one of the seven great masters.
In Ep8, we see a cosplay of this battle, Liu Yan is cosplaying Fang Zhou and the man in black roles with a mask is Gui Mudan cosplaying the Yique Yin Yang.

I think you have already seen the lady in pink? She is Xifang tao from the villain’s camp. And this character A Shui is also send by the villain. After Xifang tao, Gui Mudan, the villain will be revealed and after Gui Mudan the big villains will be revealed. There are two BIG villains, both are from another realm, one of them use multiple personalities. Of course our ML cannot die while the villains still breath.

LY won’t have any redemption arc, he learnt the truth but it’s too for him to redeem himself. He accepted all the sins he had committed and got his karma. Just in the last moment he has a little spark as how good he used to be and how he destroyed himself by own hands and wished he couldn’t have all done all that. That’s it.
The villains won’t get any redemption either, they all will meet a horrible end.
Not all who fights with ML hates him, Some hates him and some are annoyed by him and some of them become his allies. I think this is something you will understand by watching it yourself.
The ML is actually the most innocent being, he was born "inherently good" but lived in the world full of killings and made into believe he is "inherently evil".
The very first person who affirmed that he is "inherently good" died by accident, and this is the major blow to Tang Lici's worldview and values, and aroused his fear that he is a "inherently evil", Zhou dilou, that is a home for him, broke down, Liu yan went on a wrong path, Fu Zhumei disappeared. Therefore, he needed to resurrect Fang Zhou at all the costs to confirm again that he is "inherently good" and then they will be a good family again.
Later on, he saved countless lives to prove his "inherently good nature" and naturally he goes back to the one he was born and that’s when he finally let go of Fang Zhou. When faced with a major crisis, he resolutely chose to let go of his obsession to save himself and then save the world.
