She won't. She's a bed climber and everyone in China hate her.
Not Luo Jin, the character, aka Xiao Dingquan (the main reason they didn't like him was because he cried way too much). The top actor list means nothing, crazy successful actors by the likes of Zhou Xun and Huo Jianhua are never featured. (and while I do like Ju Jingyi, she's not actually A-list material, and she appears on the list every week) and also Li Yitong was featured on the list (12.16-12.22). You might want to do some research before throwing accusations. The reception for the acting of the drama, both in terms of Luo Jin and Li Yitong was pretty good. Actually in 2017, when Li Yitong was in "Legend of the Condor Heroes", lots of people claimed she was the best Huang Rong since Barbara Yung, aka. better than some very popular stars like Ariel Lin and Zhou Xun (in just that role of course). So no, "everybody in China" doesn't hate her. She's not the most popular actress yet, but given that the reception for her acting as always been very good, and she consistently lands lead roles, I don't think we'll have to wait long until she does become A-list along the likes of Zhao Liying and Yang Mi.
I don't think you've actually seen dramas with bad acting. Yukee's acting is fine, it's not amazing yet, but it…
I mean, I feel like she has more than two expressions, but yes I agree that she's not quite on the level of the likes of Yang Zi yet. However, I feel like she has enough charisma to fill in the negative aspects of her acting (she herself admitted she was very bad at crying scenes for example). I think she has a bright future, and given her acting has been constantly improving (especially in crying scenes).
She won't. She's a bed climber and everyone in China hate her.
First of all, she's not an A-list celeb yet. Second of all, she got some fame from " Royal Nirvana". Third of all, it's not her fault that the dramas aren't instant fame quality - Blossom in Heart was badly written, Royal Nirvana featured a ML that a lot of people didn't like, and Sword Dynasty got complaints for poor editing. Did Li Yitong write the script for Blossom in Heart? Did she write the character of Xiao Dingquan? Did she edit Sword Dynasty? No? Then it's not her fault. Fans of her costars hated her...wow because that's obviously "everybody in China". She hasn't had "a lot of main character roles" either, only 6 in total, spanned across three years. It took actresses like Zhao Liying and Yang Mi many years to build their resume. And in reference to the latter, lots of people hate Yang Mi, but she's still successful. Lots of people hate Zhao Liying for the matter, and she's successful too. People are going to hate on celebrities for anything, and that doesn't mean they won't be successful.
She won't. She's a bed climber and everyone in China hate her.
sure. sure. sure. so why does her Weibo have 10 million followers if everyone hates her so much? Why do Chinese netizens constantly praise her for good acting? Why do other actors and actresses even agree to work with her if they hate her? Come on. Just because you don't like her doesn't mean you can try to undermine someone's reputation.
This will be an unpopular opinion but I do not like Li Yitong acting...... I didn't like her in either Blossom…
very unpopular opinion indeed. Did you watch the scenes in Bloody Romance where she was being beaten by guards, or when she saw Chang An again but couldn't speak? Those scenes by themselves can already prove she is a very emotional actress, and add in scenes of her being happy with Chang An and you can see that she is a very talented one as well. Compare her characters in all her dramas and how she portrayed them and you will be able to see that her expressions do differ greatly in the dramas she's been in. For example, Wan Mei in Bloody Romance and Huang Rong in LOCH. One is dark but hopeful and the other is charismatic and cute, and with the way Li Yitong portrayed them both, you can easily see the difference. She is an excellent actress with great acting abilities, and that is a fact.
I mean his acting in The Love Lasts Two Minds was... very bad, but I feel like his acting previous works (Go Princess Go and Eternal Love) wasn't actually bad at all.
I don't understand how Yukee Chen became so successful. She can't act to save her own life.
I don't think you've actually seen dramas with bad acting. Yukee's acting is fine, it's not amazing yet, but it doesn't make people want to cringe or shut off the screen in annoyance. And about her success, first of all she's really pretty and can do the whole tomboy-ish lead trope very well, but also she can do the whole super elegant and beautiful princess thing, second of all she's really charismatic, especially with her eyes and facial expressions. I don't want to drag other actors and actresses here, but I can assure you there is WAY worse acting in the drama industry, and Yukee is doing great.
I don't know why but I really don't see the FL as lead potential. I don't like or dislike her. I haven't been…
I think she totally has lead potential, but so far (besides Leo in this drama) her ML has always received huge backlash and so the entire show fell apart. Like in Heavenly Sword and Dragon Saber, people complimented Yukee for her looks and acting, but criticized the fight scenes and Zeng Shunxi, while in The Love Lasts Two Minds, people complimented (again) Yukee for her looks and acting, but criticized Alan Yu's stone faced acting technique.
Agh please please please don't make the next few episodes super melodramatic and sad!! (I watched the teasers for eps 16-22 and I don't even know what to feel anymore)
I had been expecting just a really cute romantic comedy like Oh My Emperor! but instead I got a cute romantic comedy, good acting, three dimensional characters and an interesting plot!
I just started watching this but honestly I really want to see Zhao Lusi in a modern drama now! I feel like she's only done guzhuang since her big debut and she definitely has the looks, acting ability, and natural comedy to make a great modern day drama.
(idk if this is what you mean but Im pretty sure this drama had a rape scene)
