Yeah that is what I know too! Actually Neo had used his own voice in his previous dramas before BFTB, like in when we were young he used his own voice there so it really is because of the Director. Tbh, the rules set for cdramas can be confusing sometimes like for censorship, they managed to show a kid getting burned here. I noticed that too, am sure only Neo's voice was dubbed. Idk the right term too but I think it's edgy or monotonous ?? it took me time to get used to that dubbing 🤣

My idea for MDL ratings is not accurate either, this site often tends to have a glitch. But I don't think there's a lock down on ratings, I have seen dramas whose ratings fluctuated or increased even after it had finished airing. I do think that having a verified account secures a users rating for a drama compared to those accounts that aren't verified, since it's the one being counted. The more verified ratings are the more secure it'd be.

I share the same sentiments with you, I felt more chemistry between WX and ZYZ especially their old married couple vibes really stood out for me, even if they didn't have any skinships, the way they stare at each other were sending sparks. In most scenes, they felt like a parent and their child is xiaozhuo 😆 But, at the end of the day people have different opinions.

From what I know about cdrama rules, its mandatory for actors to be dubbed by professional voice actors to maintain the standard mandarin, if the actors themselves are not fluent or have regional accents since china has many dialects. I think for neo's case in BFTB maybe it has to do with his accent and the director wasn't okay with it 🥺

I knew about him since cambrian period then watched his dramas like when we were young and a girl like me but his characters in these dramas never really stood out for me, his role here in FOF as Zhao Yuanzhou is his best character imo because it showcased his acting skills more and his performance is no doubt phenomenal, he instantly became one of my fave actors and will definitely be following more of his works in the future.
