Although, I do think that the storyline pace is slow and doesn't heavily focus on the slow burn romance alone, therefore, if these points I have mentioned aren't actually your cup of tea, then it is understandable that this drama is just not for you as everyone has their own different preferences. I suggest you do continue to give it a try, however, if you had already set your mind about disliking it and is just forcing yourself to do so, then dropping it would be a better idea rather than having to waste your time and dwell upon your dislikes about a drama π€
Demons are very different from humans. Like what Zhu Yan had previously said to Wen Xiao, it takes years for them to feel or learn about an emotion. So, not every demon in the wilderness knows about what 'liveliness' is. Therefore, they cannot just make it livelier in their realm as they aren't built with humans' complex emotions. The current demons so far who had started to learn about freedom and love, are more developed demons.
2. The main couples chemistry is great. It is the type where even without the intimate scenes, you will still end up getting butterflies. Their romance for now is subtle but there is evident hint of sweetness. They are good at boldly flirting with each other, but they also share heartfelt conversations.
3. The love triangle is very minimal to almost none existent as the other character only seems to like the FL but is doing nothing else to progress that interest of theirs so therefore, they are not interrupting the romantic development between the leads that much or at all.
On the side note, majority of the cast share good chemistry with each other. So some characters are actually shippable if you are interested into such.

Right. Also with regards to the flashbacks and how they were instilled in the drama, it allows for better and deeper understanding about the characters and the current situation they are experiencing. If the flashbacks were to be thrown all at once in one blow, the overall storyline would lose a lot of its supposed depth. Furthermore, flashbacks like this maintain the mysteriousness and piques at curiousness. With how dark and gloomy FOF theme is, a whole run down of the flashback would be anti-climatic and bland - in other words, boring. What more is there to expect when that happens? It kills it.
Exactly! you can't just correlate two-and-two unrelated things together and come up with such conclusion. Moonlight has long finished airing. It will obviously trend on iQiyi if the platform unlocks episodes for free. Ofc, others would be watching it since episodes are now made 'free' and some Esther fans are rewatching the drama again as they wait for LGIEF new episodes. Right. FOF stopped releasing new episodes for two days too.
Even during the scene when ZYZ was teaching ZYC the sword technique of Lord Bingyi which is the main key in successfully killing him. ZYC at some point evidently showed concern towards ZYZ, when he told him how ZYZ shouldn't live with contradictions. If you trace and connect ZYC's current state all together, you will come to an understanding that he had slowly managed to warm up to ZYZ. So, I don't think it is right to completely judge him just because of that very moment when his words were harsh because ZYC is more than just his harsh words. You have to look beyond.
Same. I appreciated ZYC too because he is the one who hated ZYZ the most yet he turned out to be the one to understand him the most in the end.
Your comment is spot on! You have said exactly everything that has been on my mind! Zhu Yan obviously had long succumed to death and guilt he feels, which is why he has been self-inflicting pain upon himself as a form of punishment because through that he could atleast ease his conscience. Furthermore, since he lost control again and this time infront of the recently found friends he had made, the guilt he had only grew stronger. Like you said, he was almost terminally depressed. For someone like him who has already lost a will to live and self-blamed himself for everything that wasn't even his fault to begin with, no words of positivity, comfort or encouragement could ever make a strong impact upon him and set him free from his current state of mind. Exactly! It is unrealistic and a completely useless method. Zhu Yan in that state clearly needed something strong to ease his guilt and that is Zhou Yichen's words about taking RESPONSIBILITY. After that conversation, we saw him getting back on his feet, although it was a fake smile atleast he was moving again instead of sitting and staring in complete emptiness waiting upon his death.
EXACTLY. I agree with you! As much as if was a difficult spot for ZYZ it was also difficult for ZYC too. Yes. That resolution of theirs is their only choice.
