I have no problem with Chen Duling's acting but I must say she definitely slays and shines more in 'evil/dark/demon/villain' roles. Am seated for it.

I don't know what other chunk you are looking for as it seems that is the only chunk she was supposed to know at that moment. I think you are forgetting that all these Baize Goddess had been nothing but mere humans with limited powers bestowed upon them. All of them were easily killed all the time to begin with. WX and Shen Nu have both different experiences although yes people died but in WX case, just like in reality when people lose a family or loved one won't you grieve? whereas in contrast to Shen Nu when in real life a random stranger dies will you grieve as intensely as your grieved for losing someone very important in your life?

Anyway, there are still more episodes to go and room for character development.

if you recalled WX and ZYZ previous conversation before about the blood moon, she already had a clear idea about that important part. Zhu Yan told her that he wasn't himself. So, she wasn't deceived by Li Lun because she already knows the truth which is why in her conversation with PSJ she just said that she can't forgive ZYZ but she doesn't hate him but she hates herself instead. Furthermore, she was clouded by her emotions at the moment as she didn't expect for the person she likes to turn out to be the main culprit behind her masters death. Her reaction was realistic imo. Yeah, it's completely unfair towards ZYZ but handling grief upon the lost of someone important in your life is never easy.

There is surely a lot more behind the malicious energy taking full control of him. I think the blood moon is not the sole reason, there might be more bigger revelations later on. He indeed is a vessel for many years now but something or someone must have affected him to experience this effect.

This drama is definitely telling us that not all demons are bad. Some of them just want freedom. I am starting to think that the purpose of the whole baize token and goddess has turned into nothing but imprisonment and it is unfair towards the demons. It also contributed to constant prejudice towards them among the mortal world.

Li Lun wanted freedom but he was caged further leading to his resentment and he felt absolute betrayal since Zhu Yan, the one who he considered as a friend sided with the goddess.

It would be interesting to see Wen Xiao gain more knowledge about the demons and maybe, become the first goddess to allow demons to have a choice and discover a new way of protecting the realms without compensating or restraining the freedom of demons.

That indicates how his powers are starting to weaken. Every time he casts a possession spell, his powers are at the expense of it. Plus whenever Zhu Yan destroys the leafs (spells) it damages him as well.

For real! I think she will also start to feel useless now.

First of all I expected the angst and I prepared for the angst yet I still ended up crying liters of tears with my heart in complete absolute wreck. [long comment ahead]

These two latest episodes are definitely by far the heaviest. I felt immense pain the most for Zhu Yan. His fate is really unfortunate and a complete tragedy. He is ultimately dead inside. I cried so much during the flashback and just when I thought I would get a breath of relief, I cried even further when the reason why he had been constantly drinking the jade liquid was revealed. Now we get the reason why he wants to be badly killed already. He truly masked all his pain through his jokes and fake smiles. The smile he let out at the end was very sad. On the other hand, I am completely invested in Neo's acting. His facial expressions were insane, his crying scenes definitely broke me to pieces and a stream of tears. I cried with him. He literally ate those heavy scenes and I must say Zhu Yan is the best character he had played so far in my opinion (def my fave). Actually it is the first time after a long while that I am watching his drama because before, I tend to drop his dramas.

Li Lun is such a cunning villain! He literally played with them and is good at manipulation. It seems his powers are weakening though. I am glad he got out of prison because finally he can show his physical self am tired of him possessing people lol. Downside is, we won't see much of his sexy scenes when he was chained without the smoke/fog effect HAHAHAH

The aftermath about the revelation of Zhu Yan's past definitely took an emotional toll on everyone. Now the demon hunting team seems to be conflicted. Zhou Yichen has long been driven by his hatred towards Zhu Yan, however, these recent episodes are showing us how he has been slowly softening up towards Zhu Yan. What he said to Zhu Yan was truly harsh, but it actually is the opposite. If we recall, their promise to each other was for ZYC to kill ZYZ when the Baize Token has already been retrieved. They had already reached the set time for their promise and Zhu Yan is seeking death as his option once again. So, the harsh words he uttered is actually also a way to prolong their promise to each other. Hatred is present but he did soften up. His actions speaks the opposite of his harshness. He gave him a coat and his eyes when he turned around to look at Zhu Yan as he left. Also, Wen Xiao just recently found out about her master's death so how she acted towards him now is understandable.

I do get that Zhu Yan is clearly not at fault and deserves to be forgiven and empathized with as well. The teams' treatment towards him has indeed turned cold. They will obviously need to swallow this all down first before reaching the acceptance stage. It will definitely take time as it is never easy to lose a love one or an important person in ones life.

The purpose of being a Baize Goddess seems to only heavily lie as someone who seals demons and guards the realms. Other than that, no other power is bestowed upon them and they are merely just humans who got selected out of pureness. So, apart from the Baize Token being divided into half for the sake of fairness. The purpose of the other demon as well is to protect the goddess. I do understand the complains about the Wen Xiao being weak but from all the information we have known about the goddess so far, there is clearly nothing she could have done. It would be a suicide mission. Plus, the Baize Token was broken therefore she clearly lost her power and went back to her weak state like how she was before she even found the token herself. I do hope her character gets stronger in further episodes.

Yes got that right so all previous theories about her being a reincarnation etc are false based on this scene!
