I do think his words were very harsh but it was only through his words that ZYZ who is at a devastated state and already wants to end his own life would be able to think of living again. ZYZ is very determined and dead set on killing himself. He carries it like an oath. With ZYC's harsh words it postponed his will for an immediate death at that moment.

However, looking beyond the harshness of his words and seeing through the small details, during that scene before their conversation. If you noticed the expression painted on ZYC face when he saw the scars behind ZYZ back. You can tell there was a hint of sadness in his eyes. Then, when he was about to leave, you can tell through his actions that he 'cares' about ZYZ when he threw the coat to cover ZYZ's exposed back. ZYC did the exact same thing when he was showing his care for BJ by throwing the fruit to BJ. Also, he stopped and turned around to look at ZYZ once again, this clearly indicates his state of dilemma.

Of course, ZYC would feel conflicted given what he had experienced and the truth he had come to know of. In real life, losing a love one is never easy. Imagine the resentment he had towards ZYZ throughout all those years with the lost of his family only to find out one day that person you hated the most turned out to be innocent and kind, the exact opposite of what you had sentenced him to be. He had grown to soften up to ZYZ and understand him, but guilt definitely eats him up because of his dead family.

This scene between the two of them shows how ZYC has softened up towards ZYZ. Yes, his words were harsh but it was helpful at some point. When ZYC asked him to find a way and take responsibility, it is also a solution that could ease the guilt ZYZ feels in his heart for the death of the people around him which wasn't even his fault to begin with. On the other hand, with ZYC having ZYZ bear that responsibility is also another way for ZYC to finally be able to be closer to him or regard him as a friend while being free of the guilt he feels towards his family.

Sometimes, actions speak louder than words especially during the times when words itself are used as a mask to cover the true feelings of what people truly meant.

It might actually be true. If we recall the latest fight scene, PSJ clearly shot her arrow towards Li Lun instead of Zhu Yan who had already been under the influence of the malicious energy. Which proves that she doesn't completely work for Chongwu Camp, since if she really does then it would have made more sense for her arrows to be directed towards Zhu Yan as their main goal is to get his inner core.

I re-read your previous comment and I feel so silly. I realized you shared the same thoughts as me about Ziqi being her classmate😅😭 my brain didn't function well, my bad. I agree with what you said because she considers that day with her dad as the most unfortunate and saddest day in her life so if she ever did have a crush on him or they were friends, like you said she'll forget about him due to her grief. However, I don't think it was merely her projection alone, because she had only come to know of his appearance during their childhood where at present he is seeing a teenager/adult version of him. So, I think Ziqi is more likely to be engulfed in the system like her.

That's possible too! but, usually with the cdramas I have seen that deals with both fictional and real worlds, the ending would always be the leads having a connection at some point or either meeting as strangers for the first time. Which is why I had come up with such thoughts haha

I have been thinking that apart from Ziqi actually existing in the real world and in the same timeline as Miaomiao. It seems that they were connected or had met during their childhood years, seeing the scene with the "bunny apple".

I have definitely enjoyed this so far and am completely buying the enemies to lovers trope between miaomiao and ziqi. I always end up either laughing too hard or kicking my feet in the air internally screaming over their scenes. Esther and Ding Yuxi nailed it. Apart from them I am loving our little bamboo shoot "cuicui". Such an adorable character. The scenes with three of them felt like they were family with miaomiao and ziqi being cuicui's parents haha

Exactly. He is a human who has complex emotions so his action towards Zhu Yan is realistic. So yes, it will take time because GUILT towards his dead family still eats him up. Yes, by doing that he is also soothing the guilt he feels towards his family as he amends his bond with Zhu Yan. It is actually a clever resolution, he can make Zhu Yan bear some responsibility without the need to kill him.

- I actually didn't feel any plot hole regarding ZYZ decision to share his plans with only ZYC and YL. If you can recall, the issue about one of the members from their team being a spy for Chongwu Camp it has not been fully resolved yet, PSJ is highly their suspect for now since BJ was able to escape the suspicion. So, as someone who is a great demon like ZYZ he knows it would be risky. Furthermore, both PSJ and BJ went missing for too long as they were put to sleep by Chongwu camp. Another point is, it is useless to tell WX and BJ (whether ZYZ suspect him or not) as they are much weaker. The only suitable people who can support and 100% is capable of ensuring this plan of his gets executed with success is clearly ZYC and YL alone. One has the cloud sword, the other is a mountain god.

- Li Lun used to dislike it whenever ZYZ would take him to visit the mortal realm. Basing from their conversation during that scene, it seems during those times Li Lun had come to learn what 'freedom' feels like thanks to ZYZ taking him into the mortal realm. So, Li Lun started to hope for freedom and this hope of his grew stronger thus leading to him attacking WX's master because for him, the Baize Goddess and token is a cage that traps demons and restraints demons from their freedom. In short, he just wanted to be a free demon who can roam around in different realms. But, his heart grew deep resentment when ZYZ the only close friend he considered betrayed him by siding with the Baize Goddess and thus leading to him being sealed to his birth place. What he yearns for was freedom but he only got trapped even more and at the worst cage. That is why he has immense hate for both ZYZ and the goddess. He wants to take ZYZ core to bring it to Chongwu Camp this is to satisfy his revengeful self, if ZYZ can side with Baize Goddess then he chooses to do the same thing too by siding with Chongwu camp. If the plan failed I think the drama would end then...

Another thing I'd like to add, Li Lun dislikes humans because of his hatred towards the Baize Goddess who is a human. He feels it is unfair that humans get to dictate about the demons freedom.

The emotions they both delivered during that scene was chefs kiss. The look on his face when he saw Zhu Yan's back. We could clearly see Zhuo Yichen's dilemma with his harsh words being the complete opposite of his actions. It is a scene that hints how ZYC has somewhat softened up towards ZYZ, but at the same time, through his harsh words, it also allowed for ZYZ to have some will to live again for a while, even if it is merely for the sake of repaying him. I didn't see ZYC to be completely cruel, he is definitely prolonging and hesitating on killing him subconsciously.

No one has brought it up recently and I think some might not even know about the first poster. I remember that too and seeing how some things was foreshadowed through that poster as you mentioned, I do think that there is a possibility for that theory to be true. Even the current poster now has some spoilers. Which is why I am not expecting any happy ending for this drama.
