By episode 10 onwards the storyline of feud delves away from the usual xianxia plots we have seen, it takes a complicated turn as unexpected events unfold and such led to unpredictability and allowed majority of viewers to be interested in it. If by episode 15 the drama still fails to pique your interest, I suggest you either drop it, put it on-hold or try to reach until episode 23 if you don't mind spending more of your time into this series. This drama is filled with angst and only gets even more angstier by episodes.

I doubt that's the writer's intention, there is definitely a third party involved who caused the feud between them. I am suspecting the mysterious man who handed HRY the book of resurrection merely as plot device to drive a wedge between the two. I hope we see BJS side of the story soon.

Also, regarding what you have just said about FL not facing the fact that it is her fault. She did realize it was her fault, she begged and apologized to the gods. To add to that, if you stepped into her perspective it was shown how coldly she was abandoned by Bai Jiusi. So, it's not solely her fault that everything turned out this way and Bai Jiusi obviously had his own fault too. He was too naive and ignorant of the mortals suffering. He didn't even knew there was such things as plague and war which are inevitable to survive regardless of money and servants.

From Hua Ruyue's perspective it was indeed Bai Jiusi who killed their son. She doesn't know the truth that it was not his intention to do so. If you were in her place and you saw someone kill your son in front of your own eyes, ofcourse you wouldn't think "oh it might not be that person's intention to kill my child" right.

Based on the character chart there is apparently no correlation between the two, other than having the same name as 'meng'. Also, if you had watched the present episode you will no why they are no longer related.

I agree with your speculation. There was a scene where he was asked by Cang Tu if he was doing it for his master BJS or for himself, and he answered he was doing it for both. His answer to me felt like a personal grudge and he is using avenging and protecting BJS as an excuse.

Yes the start didn't leave much impact but it definitely made an impact later on as we uncovered their past, don't worry the producer of this drama Yuzheng spoiled that this will be a HE and none of the main leads will die.

That's alright take your time in watching it, I am hardly keeping up with the episodes since I have been busy. Yes, it's indeed surprisingly good. Initially I liked the previous title 'Lament of the river immortal' and had complained about it here before the drama had even aired but now I get why they changed it to a generic name as 'Feud', after knowing the story it does match it more.
