sad news it's Torture Tuesday because it's the start of 1 ep per day instead 😢

This episode tortured us but it was so impactful and their performances were excellent, if I rewatch it I might end up crying again 🫂✨

Right, they were both so good in this episode and the heavy angst just hits differently because of them.

The acting performance of both the main leads on episode 23 has got to be the peak. Bai Lu had always been my favorite actress so I already knew how excellent she is, especially with emotional scenes, her conveyance of such scenes had once again surprised me for the intensity of her acting alone through grief as a mother who had lost her child. Her emotions were so raw throughout the whole scene that watching it was such a painfully gut-wrenching experience, I literally woke up with swollen eyes the next day. As for Joseph, it's been a while since I have seen his acting performance and I must say his acting has improved a lot. He greatly nailed in portraying all the different emotions throughout his character's journey of finding out the truth, from the brief moment of happiness to an agony of regret afterwards, I never knew his eyes could be so expressive. His performance definitely left an impact making the whole scene of him and Bai Lu so heightened. This drama may have had some noticeable flaws but from the acting performance to the complex story telling, it's truly been worthwhile. I am surprisingly loving this more than TTEOTM.
