To each their own. Loved the FL in I am Nobody and ML in L&P and was excited for this one. It has all the elements that I want but for some reason I just couldn't connect with it.
This drama needed 3-5 more episodes to fully flesh out everything. Dumb 40 episode rule.🤦🏾♀️
Definitely! There were some parts that I thought was rushed/ wasn't explain properly but overall still pretty good for an ending. Lol there were definitely some worse endings in other cdramas

Haha that's me too.. I lost it a long time ago with the grandma, dog, and grandma's story. The director should have cut them out as they don't add much to the main storyline

So that's what it is... I was trying to pinpoint what was off about this drama and you're right. It's the lack of direction, transition, and explanation. I'm on ep 5 and we know that ML kills FL but after she re-birth other than the one slap and some small bickering.. she all of a sudden starts teaming up with him.. like what? The drama failed to convey how deep their relationship in the past. Yes, they were lovers.. but so what? What made their relationship so special? Sure he killed her in the past but before that, how good was their relationship? Other than the small flashback we can't be certain. After her re-birth we learned that she once was married. If she was married, when did she meet the ML? Before or after her marriage? These are key things that the audience should know so we know to root for them or if the audience should be cautious of the ML.
My other pet peeve is that we know nothing about any of these characters that show up through out the episodes. They just pop up and we get a mini flashback of how horrible they were, but that's it? These flashback should have been shown before she reincarnated so we are aware of them when we see them again after birth (like they did in Blossom). Sure these characters have history with the FL but to the audience they are new.
This is quite a disappointment because I was really looking forward to this drama airing.
at first I thought they made provide some lightheartedness in this drama but maybe not.. I'm only on ep 14
Their scenes for me is getting really repetitive. I feel that for a drama like this where the main leads are having a slow burn romance, the second leads should provide some contrasts (fast romance & lightheartedness) to keep the audience engaged while the MLs figure themselves out and get together. Here, I personally think they become a drag that I would prefer to skip them and go back to the slow burn couple.
WYF's aunt said that WYF couldn't have the chicken soup but during their short time living together SY has already given her chicken soup multiple times, the latest time even saying that the soup was specially for her. He really does care!

Finally, someone else also brought it up. I said the same thing when the drama first aired. Not just him but it's also true for some of the character that uses their real voice as well. Some scenes doesn't matter as much but there are scenes where it is super distracting.
Watched the first 8 episodes and I quite like it so far.
There were some things that I didn't quite like
- The use of time. Maybe because it's a flashback time just moved a lot faster/ the drama didn't tell us how long has passed. The SYS was brought to stay with the MQG and does try to kill her here and there but all of the sudden 3 years? What else was happening in the world within those 3 years? Was SYS still running errands for his dad during this time? And when SYS became evil and started his little army. How much time has passed? I know the emperor was sick but no one else was aware this was happening and tried to stop him other than MQG? Hopefully we will get more clarification in the upcoming episodes.
- The audio of their voice. It seems some of the casts are using their real voice and some especially the main couple are dubbed. It does become very obvious when they are all having a discuss with each other like the meal scene in ep 8. The casts using their real voices sounds like they are further away.
Other than that I am excited to see what the future episodes will show since there are still some questions that we haven't gotten answers to from SYS's flashback
