Title The Early Spring Spoiler
Can you tell me did the FL leave him first and why?
Yes! Not just highly likely, but if they follow the novel (which they have done for the most part), they for sure have a happy ending. Keep watching; I am not sure how the drama will portray their relationship, but I think it's fairly realistic. But definitely not every one's cup of tea though, because they did start with having a sexual relationship not for love but then it transformed into love.

So, Netflix finally bought the rights to a Chinese drama, and it turns out to be *this*. I have quite a few issues…
I will have to disagree. As the comment above already stated, their company originates from the US, hence the English name and English work culture of calling the boss by their first name.

The drama is based on the novel, and the novel is like that too. They are in no shape or form trying to make a parody of the West.

And yes, they start their relationship primarily sexual; although not the norm in drama, it is the norm in real life. Starting a sexual relationship is not something that only the West does.

Enjoying this thus far. The English names make me laugh. It is so random when she drops the name 'Luke' left right…
Yeah it definitely took me a while at first. In the novel, it was because their parent company originated from the US. The one that they work at is the Chinese branch of the main parent company; that is why they have English names and a Western work culture.

I hate that they didn't explain that in the drama, so it makes it sound cringy at times.

I’m so glad Lumi is a girl’s girl, her first impression gave me mean girls vibes.
For real, she's amazing. Literally one of FL's best friends. They continued to be friends even after FL left the company

I sprained my ankle once and kid you not, the pain was hell and it took very long to heal fully. I hope you never…
I sprained my ankle too and trust me it really is as easy as it is shown in the dramas. Just land a little off and damn now you are limping for awhile.

Lol count your luck if you haven't sprained your ankle yet. What's unrealistic is her recovering after 2 days.

I know! That was my fear when I saw they cut the episodes. Honestly I don't mind if they cut some of the work projects out as long as we see more of them after their breakup.

Typical male, shatters her innocence and then won't commit.LOL I'm projecting what's gonna happen by the summary...…
He didn't really shatter her innocence since she was in a long-term relationship before joining the company, and when they got together, she knew exactly what she was getting into. But as always like everything, there relationship just got complicated

He's drawn to her coz of her innocence 🩷
In the novel, he is more drawn to her for her perseverance and hard work, not really her innocence. She knows that she has a lot to learn and that she is not great enough, but she always gives it her all, coming early and staying late to make sure all her projects run smoothly. He admires that about her.

Sun yuan zhu is the second ml?
If I have to pick one, then yes, but he is also not really. He does have a crush on her, but did not act on it nor confess his feelings. FL sees him as a great friend and nothing more.

I am guessing she wants to keep her personal and professional life separate as she is just a rookie and luke goes…
Not really; the idea of separating their personal and professional life was something they both agreed upon in the beginning. FL never wanted their relationship to come out.

I like her mentor, Lumi!Lumi: Right now just do two things well. First thing, do well what you need to do. Second,…
She was also equally as amazing in the novel, although not as forthcoming as she is in the drama. In the novel, she was also scared of Luke because the guy was intimating - not as nice as he is in the drama

Can you tell me did the FL leave him first and why?
I wouldn't necessarily call it all a misunderstanding - more like 1/4 a misunderstanding and 3/4 everything else. While there is a misunderstanding and he did indeed love her, he was also not great at showing it. She felt that she wasn't good enough for him due to their power imbalance, and what he gave her wasn't what she wanted. Honestly, the breakup in the novel was realistic and much needed in their relationship.
