I’m on ep 8 and I’m wondering if I’m the only one who finds Hua Yong really annoying and problematic 😅
He’s definitely problematic but I don’t find him annoying at all, he’s hilarious.

By their own admission this person is not even watching this drama yet, so I wouldn't take anything they have…
You assume wrong, I’m in the I don’t care whether it’s a masterpiece or not class. I don’t put much stock in ‘masterpieces’, I only care whether I enjoy it or not. But I’m also not going to police how people want to express themselves about it as you are doing. People can use whatever hyperbole they want to express how much they like a show, it’s none of my business. And speaking of irrelevant comments you seem to have a lot of those. You’re always here commenting about a drama you’re not even watching, and commenting about dramas unrelated to this one which hardly anyone cares about. I see your irrelevant comments but I just ignore them and move on, I’m only replying because you addressed me directly.

Comments to one person who won't get cooled :What's your trigger so much? Are you offended by what we call a drama…
By their own admission this person is not even watching this drama yet, so I wouldn't take anything they have to say seriously and just ignore.

Wow, thank you so much! That does sound like the subtitles are inaccurate.

Since you were nice enough to answer my huasheng question can I ask what the difference is between the Mr. that Hua Yong uses to say Mr. Sheng and the Mr. that Gao Tu uses to say Mr. Shen, they both get translated as Mr. but sound different.

Someone pls help me understand how could they not recognize each other in ep 9. I'm confused 😭😭
It just needs some suspension of disbelief. The room that Hua Yong and Sheng were in is supposed to be pitch black, Sheng's actor even acts like he can't see the other person, notice the look on his face like he can't see anything. The light is there so we as viewers can see. For Shen Wenlang, he's supposed to be drunk. If you notice before he went looking for Gao Tu there were a lot of empty wine glasses behind him, but he should have acted drunker. Also for both of them once they get into the action their senses and memory are impaired by the other's pheromones, they're almost in a fugue state.

Thank you again, I'll look up the tones to understand better.

I see the difference between the two is the small symbol over the e in sheng which I assume changes the tone, right?

The way I understand it from the novel huasheng means peanut in Mandarin, but because they have different tones I think it's probably pronounced slightly differently than the name Huasheng. Therefore Huasheng is his name and huasheng (peanut) is his nickname, I assume pronounced slightly differently from each other. I wish someone that spoke Mandarin could confirm.

If anybody here speaks Mandarin can you explain the difference between the words Mr. that Hua Yong uses to say Mr. Sheng , and the one other people use, like for example Gao Tu when he says Mr. Shen, they don't sound like the same to me but it gets translated the same: Mr. Or I could be hearing wrong.

Can the novel readers please spoil me about the part in trailer where HY asks SSY to have HY's baby.why are they…
Sheng’s brother attacked them. He poisoned SSY and tried to stab him. HY got in the way and got stabbed in the gland which is supposed to be lethal but you know, Hua Yong is hard to kill.
