Usually pheromone gland injury is fatal but because it’s Hua Yong he’ll recover.

Well I like it, but it's definitely not for everyone. It helps if you're familiar with omegaverse and if you can suspend your disbelief to get on board with really manipulative characters and even root for them despite the terrible things they do.

Nothing too important, the novel says they had small talk, Hua Yong was impressing the father in law but without giving anything away, so by the end of the conversation the father still doesn't know who Hua Yong is, but notices that his son treats Hua Yong not like a bimbo omega but more like an equal.
