I think the main flaw in the second couple's development is not in the screen time but in the original story. When I finished the novel I was very unsatisfied by their ending and hoped it would change in the show. But if the author is dead set on letting it play out like it did in the novel then this dissatisfaction was inevitable from the start. No amount of extra screen time can fix such a frustrating story. No cute moments in between can cure the lack of story progression. Although the few cute moments between them made us care about them more, this episode has shown me that getting more interactions between them without actually getting anywhere was even more frustrating than not seeing them at all.

With all that said, I already had time to process these feelings after reading the novel and I'm at the acceptance stage in the grieving process lol. I still like them and hope they have a happy and cute ending.

Blood is only good for a few weeks then it expires. An Enigma has no cause to think he will need blood at all times, they are very strong and even this time he really didn't need the transfusion to recover, just rest and to stop bleeding.

Yes it's ambiguous, but since SWL didn't mention any omega smell I can assume he's still using something. Now that he's going away from anyone he knows he will stop using it.

Yes, I think he mentioned the not as toxic suppressants and since he's pregnant he won't be going into heat. I think if he wasn't using any suppressants at all some people might be able to tell he's pregnant, I'm not sure in this world, but in some other omegaverses.

It seems Hua Yong wanted to leave it up to GT whether he confessed or not and not interfere but finally had enough of the nonsense. I wouldn’t be surprised if Hua Yong thought SWL is an idiot for his handling of his relationship with GT. I mean, here’s HY challenging the laws of biology, developing scientific breakthroughs, performing complicated psychological experiments and business deals all for the sake of his love, and SWL had his love by his side for 10 years, who’s basically his best friend, and he let him slip through his fingers.

I loved the episode, the little changes they do to the storyline are a nice surprise. HY and SSY’s scenes were precious with SSY being so concerned for HY and trying to make him understand it hurts to see him hurt. The enigma and pregnancy reveal were hilarious.

While I wouldn't have minded a longer chase, even though I love Hua Yong it's just entertaining to see him chase openly, they were acting so cute that I'm satisfied. I also love how fast SSY folded because it shows how much he loves Hua Yong and can't resist him for long. As someone who read the novel, I loved the several passages describing how SSY feels as he's being chased, how just looking at Hua Yong's face makes him weak and he can't deny him anything, he tries to argue and just loses his train of thought lol.

I’m concerned that we’re not going to see SWL’s groveling because while he did grovel in the novel we didn’t really get to see it, just brief mentions from Lele’s POV.

This is the only enigma story I’ve ever read and they didn’t get into that, but I think they’re not compatible with everyone. But I think they can have anyone they want.

Hua Yong is not angry with SSY, he’s sad and desperate to be forgiven. Hua Yong has only been angry with SSY when he’s with Omegas.

If he'd had any control at that moment he wouldn't have done that. He was a virgin, he had no interest in love or sex, why would he carry that around.

True, it's even partly Sheng's fault that Gao Tu went into heat at the X hotel and thus Gao Lele was made. Without the main couple the second couple will be friends forever.

To be fair that's what I thought too when I binged the first six episodes, then I read the novel and realized that Hua Yong knows Sheng better than anybody and he knows what he needs to do in order to get him. Even though Sheng looked so in love with Hua Yong in those first few episodes he was nowhere near ready to commit himself to him forever by marking him (or letting Hua Yong mark him, but he doesn't know that). And marking him and being with him forever is Hua Yong's ultimate goal, and that will only happen if Sheng is in desperate love with him, so much so that he will forgive him after the revelations.
