Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I, along with many people think he's as cute as a button. The liking him for no reason might have bothered me if they were adults but they're teenagers. I definitely had crushes for no reason in high school, a couple of them I never even spoke to or knew anything about them.

Has there ever been a CP that swapped Top/Bottom from one show to the next? I’ve never seen it done. I think Xing and Qiu can do it and I’d like to see it for the novelty of the concept. The closest I’ve seen is the bottom from Lovely Writer became the top in My Stand In but with another partner.

No offense taken, this comment was aimed at newcomers so they have an idea what they're getting into and if their taste is low angst this is for them, except for the weird kid scenes.
Keep in mind alphas are also not supposed to be able to get pregnant, the enigma creates the womb with their pheromones. Betas are less sensitive to pheromones, but not totally insensitive, therefore it makes sense that they could also be changed by an enigma.

Never explained in the drama and what's explained in the novel is from SWL 's POV which turned out to be the misunderstandings of a traumatized child. It's really not explained that well, or I didn't understand it. People say the author wants to write a novel about SWL's parents' story.

Very happy ending for the main couple, kind of open ending but hopeful of happiness in future for the secondary couple. I suggest not getting too invested in the secondary couple if you want to enjoy this show to the fullest.
I thought the first half of this show was pretty much perfect, then around the time skip it lost intensity for me. I think they wasted their great chemistry not showing more romantic scenes together, and I don’t mean NC necessarily, just less childish and more scenes acting like an actual couple. And that ending! I hated that ending.

People love to praise this show for its lack of toxicity and I guess I get it if that's what you're into, but I think it kind of misses the DRAMA part of a drama. Sometimes I'm also in the mood for something sweet and low angst, but I found this just ok, it bored me at times. I think I was too new into the genre to understand a lot of the behind the scenes industry call outs. And the way they handled the childhood plot line was super awkward, it gave all kinds of uncomfortable vibes. I blame the director, they did a disservice to those kid actors. They know what they did, they turned the comments off on YouTube during that episode (Ep. 7 part 2).
