Also do they have some past connections!?? Why do I feel so.. Like they were connected somehow...
Yes they do! It based on what God said and how God bumped into Tak, she regained some memories of seeing MM (Myeol) as a child in the funeral home. There must be a bigger connection than that between them but we'll just have to wait and see!
Watched episode 3 and wow what a great way to continue the series. Only 3 episodes in and I was captured and sucked in since episode 1. I'm very glad that the rating went up from yesterday. I just hope the momentum continues since it's rare for a drama to have a good streak and continue it's momentum throughout. I must say that Myeol Mang (MM) is by far my favourite character. From what we can gather based on what "god" said MM is choosing not to feel anything, perhaps something to do with his "mother figure" passing away. I'm glad we get to see his soft yet cold attitude and how MM is battling keeping his emotions at bay. I'm assuming that my original guess might be right: God is testing MM to feel emotions and care for humanity by testing him and having Tak Kyung make him feel emotions. This cat and mouse game MM is playing with TK is wonderful to see and I'm loving how both MM and TK are trying to turn the tables in their favour.
I'm wondering what connection TK has with MM and how she was the only one to remember him since childhood. I'm thinking that's what god is using for some reason. I'm confused though as to why god wants TK to live since it seems god stated that she wanted MM to change her fate. I wonder how important TK really is? Any thoughts?
It was nice to see how my predictions of TK loving MM will bite MM correct. The ball is now in TK's court and I can't wait to see what happens today. Also best line to end ep 3 with: "Love me too the point where you want to destroy the world for me..."
This drama is a rare gem and it's honestly sad to see if the rating drop since it's honestly such a treasure of a show. I can't wait <3
Personally I think it is in terms of more realistic portrayal of a health Gay relationship compared to other representations I've seen from Thailand. It has chemistry, comedy, adorable moments and the acting is pretty darn good :)
Yea I feel that's the way it'll go. Especially when he said, he'll take away the one she loves the most then,…
yeah since it's too early for Myeol to be transferring her doom onto her family members; her sister and brother are all that are left. I think there's nobody else he can threaten her with so it could end up being him.
OMG!!!! I CAN SEE IT HAPPENING! LIKE THE WAY THEY SPED THINGS UP LIKE THIS WITH THAT ENDING I CAN TOTALLY SE IT…
hahaha well I was basing my assumption on the ep 3 preview when he said "fall in love with me" so either he falls in love with her and in order to stop her for dying he takes her doom and puts it in himself causing him to either die or to stuff more, or he starts to "become" human by gaining human emotions by falling in love with her and tries to save her somehow.
Personally I think god (the girl in the hospital) wants Myeol to gain an appreciation for humanity and understand that without darkness there is no light, just like Tak said as they were walking. I think god is testing Myeol by bringing Tak to him since God is like that and in a sense wants to Myeol to appreciate human kind since we can see that he hates humans and humankind. If we're going off the analogy of god talking about the garden and Myeol being the butterfly, then we can assume God is saying his existence is necessary just like a butterfly to pollinate flowers to make then grow. My guess is that God is testing Myeol with Tak and forcing him to appreciate humans and understand human suffering.
you and me both sister! I REALLY am torn since I do this all the time! I regret watching since I'll have to wait but the episodes are so darn good that it's addicting TT__TT
The chemistry between them is too much oh God!Those hand holding and that freaking preview part ''Be the first…
yeah I think that's gonna screw Myeol over with since he's probably thinking he'll use that to his advantage somehow when it might bite him in the butt. :O
Episode 2 ended with a BANG ladies and gents. I have to admit that this show is starting off to a real good start. I'm loving the music and the ending song is killer. If someone knows the artist/singer please do let me know. I'm loving Myeol Mang, his character is so much more interesting now that we get a brief glimpse at his suffering instead of just assuming he's cold for no reason. His suffering of his own fate was interesting to see and based on next week's preview we can assume that Tak Kyung will start o make Myeol feel human emotions. We can totally see that both Myeol and Tak are fed up with their fate; Myeol resigned to his fate by accepting and not caring that he causes disasters naturally and choosing to just get this over and done with by ending humanity to end his suffering and Tak with accepting her death but struggling with her last will to live as a last "screw you" to fate. Honestly I REALLY hope that his drama continues to thrive with what they're doing now. Overall wonderful first 2 episodes and I'm loving this series. FINGERS CROSSED FOR MORE.
Btw anyone else have a feeling that they're gonna totally go with the whole passing on her doom to someone she loves to possibly Myeol himself? I can see the writers making Myeol fall in love with Tak and instead of watching her die and seeing some hope in humanity he chooses to save her and passes on her doom to himself? Idk it's just a feeling I'm getting.
Can I just say what a refreshing take on destiny and death? Honestly I wasn't expecting much with this drama and thought it would be your run of the mill, romance drama with some comedy thrown in for a funny twist of fate but boy was I proven wrong and gladly so. Although only 1 episode has aired and we can't defer much in terms of whether or not the tension, dark themes and mystery will remain but I think this is something refreshing to the old cliché destiny twist. I'm totally digging Seo Guk's character of doom and total destruction. His cold demeanor and aloof attitude was perfect and thankfully he's not just a death god or something we've seen before. I'm digging his style and usually I don't watch much of his dramas but I'm hopeful for this one. Park Young is also doing a fantastic job in her character. I'm digging how her character is more complex than we think; strong, tired and frankly fed up with the cards she's dealt with. Let's hope the ML and FL continue to have a strong impact and that their personalities stay strong throughout.
Personally Seo's character is the most interesting to me: he wants to destroy the whole of humanity since "God" (the girl we saw in the hospital) seems to be forcing or binding Seo (Myeol) into being a sort of death god or shinigami of sorts. I appreciate his character trying to break free from his own destiny and trying to break free by using the FL. His hatred for humanity and his happiness towards its destruction is his freedom.
So far I'm digging the hell out of this! Fingers crossed that it gets better and hopefully doesn't loose its dark, mysterious edge that they're going for. Most of these type of mysterious, supernatural dramas start off strong but end in flames like Tale of the nine-tailed. I'm really hoping that this won't be the case of a drama falling flat due to dull script writing or personality changes (plot focus changes).
for the most part I don't think we'll get any access online to the movie for a couple of months MINIMUM based on my experience with Japanese movies in general TT__TT Let's all cry until then
Although the plot is simple and production is average, I'm still loving the acting <3 very cute and light hearted. I have to admit that Ryu Ho is hilarious and I loved the dressing room scene. Pretty good so far! I'm looking forward to next week (づ。◕‿‿◕。)づ
I couldn't agree with you more! I felt SOME sympathy for Aoey but when he started being all possessive towards…
personally I think you might be right since Gene isn't that type of person! I think He was just warning Gene to stay away and hopefully we'll get an explanation soon!
