The modern Wei Jiao asked the same question, but smiled afterwards. Meaning he’s using the same conversation to test out (since the sentence “I found you again” could suit a different context) and is glad (hence the smile) when Tingyan confirms it by also replying with the same answer.
I cried a lot, like A LOT in the final episode. Damnnn they were married for less than 24hrs before she died 😭 I’m so glad that they reunited in the modern world, though i can’t decipher when Wei Jiao smirks does that mean he remembers Tingyan and was just teasing her earlier or he really did forgot but just feel some sort of affinity towards her.
Either way, they’ve forgotten each other before but still managed to make the other fall back in love even without memories, so i’m sure they’ll do it again! <3

I’m glad that Ep29 mortal arc preview already dropped so that the upcoming angst during Sima Jiao’s death in the demon arc would feel less sad bc i know the happier moments in the mortal arc is coming soon with a reincarnated Sima Jiao who’s finally free from his 500-years painful memories. Hopefully the tyrant emperor Jiao had a happier live growing up.

The 40 eps is probably an error in MDL but i wish it’s true! I don’t even care if the additional 7 episodes are just fillers with no plots, i’d still be content enough just watching our Grandmaster and his Frost Fish just lazying around all day eating and sleeping.
