Karma doesn't follow u forever! Its simply balances the scale and once it does bad karma will stop. Kehm and his mom were killed so mnay times that more karmaLike i mentioned yes what kehms mom did was wrong. But she was also killed so many times. Coming from a buddhist country try studying buddhism. Its not like Christian hell where hell is eternal. You pay the price and ur done. Kehm and his mom paid the price.

What about her son khem? He was killed many more times by R than what khem's mom did. And she didn't even directly kill the baby.

And yes thats what ive been saying all this time the soul isnt the same anymore cuz each soul goes thru different journeys. So thats why R collected more karma than ever.

What makes u think murdering innocent people for 400 odd years is justified when they are pretty much different after reincarnation?
Like I mentioned, reincarnated people aren't the same as the "original". Its like saying you should suffer for ur parents/ancestors sin. She is 100% in the wrong.

What about the pain caused to others by the continous murdering of khems lives? Deos their pain not count and only R's does to u? In Khem's other lives she was a child of someone too.

As for the servants, it basically wasn't to save just the servants but her life and khems. Its pretty obvious cuz the 1st wife has killed other women.

What R did was beyond a mere grudge. She collected too much karma and she herself knows this as stated in the tv series. Collecting that much of karma DOES indeed prove she was wrong cuz what do u think karma is?

There are two things I can assume 1.The baby did rebirth or 2.She being a powerful spirit herself could have found a way to contact the baby since souls aren't erased from the world. Yet she didn't (ofc since its not a part of the storyline but what if)

I'm pretty sure Khem's mom already paid the karma compared to rampheung who went on a 400 yr rampage killing every reincarnated soul. And tbh as explained the souls that are reincarnated aren't the same as the life they live shape their soul and they have no memory of their past.

I'd argue there's a huge difference between the mothers. For sure what khem's mom did in that moment was wrong, but what makes u think rampheung wouldn't do the same if the positions were reversed? Especially since she loved her child so much too.

This is why there was no reason to apologize to rampehung and she doesn't chose to kill Rampheung, the 1st wife does. She only lies (which i do indeed agree that is morally wrong.) And she didn't do it to save just herself, but her daughter, family and maids.

Which brings me to the question why did rampheung never look for her child? That was her greatest desire but massacaring generations of people who aren't responsible for it is very evil. She will prolly be reborn in either hell, an animal or a human with so many misfortunes for the evil she caused.

The book as I remember explains it more. The monk remembered his past life when he met khem and they needed to make it real as possible so rampheung wont think its a trick

Hmm... Its ok, not the best tbh. I was expecting way more action and fight scenes but Mantis let me down half way through the movie. For some reason it just didn't hit me maybe its the gussable plot? Great acting though!
