yeah it was a very excrutiating watch and it boggles my mind that this was released only a decade ago when the predatory romance feels like something that belongs in an '80s film. and I'm nearly finished with the script! I'm literally scripting a video essay atm about how fucking wack it is that this show is so popular when the age gap romance is so central to the story. as someone who sat through the whole thing (curiosity almost always gets the better of me 🥲) I could not agree more about your thought of Goblin being found family for Eun-tak, esp given her losing her mom so young. and also hard agree about your comment down here that he treated her like trash. I'm not sure what details you gathered from elsewhere since you only watched the first episode, but there's a plot thread where Eun-tak starts crushing on a boy she knew from her childhood that she reconnects with and Goblin like... basically throws a tantrum about this and, as Eun-tak has moved in with him bc she's genuinely unsafe living w her aunt, he forces her to do a bunch of chores around the house that are very labor intensive under the threat of her being homeless if she doesn't comply. like.... wow. the writers understood her aunt was abusive but now her love interest is treating her the same way and it's treated as humorous bc he's jealous. it's just so 🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢

wish the summary had included that she transmigrates into the foster sister of the lead character....... really tired of this "they're not blood siblings so it isn't incest" mentality

Yeah, I feel like the politest I can be is still "wow this is dreadfully boring" lmao. 100% agree that the romance feels fake, I could not understand why they were falling for each other — I'm just told that they have and I'm supposed to go along with it. And if there's one thing I can't stand it's forced unearned relationship development lol so... just a very painful watching experience.
