Only 25 episodes now and I thought the 30 episodes posted before was already a tight squeeze. With this kind of storyline, I would find it surprising if they manage to get a logical ending and tie the loose ends. Hello disjointed plot!
Is this real? Gosh it took me a very long time to get over the fact they were never going to be an item. Imagine my shock when I found out the real score. I didn't even know who they were when I first saw Waves of Life. Frankly I was a bit naive back then plus also very bias against their real life partners. I'm just trying to contain my excitement. Hopefully this happens and it's a good drama.
Simpering, weak, docile, low-witted, doormat, female characters have their fans, I suppose.
Any semi intelligent person and someone with common sense would understand the gist of my statement. Hysterical and overemotional people obviously have very shallow and superficial viewpoints.
It's slow witted BTW. More reading and study would be beneficial.
Then do us all a favor please, take your negativity and go watch a drama with the type of FL lead you like. Leave…
What's with the emotive and hysterical reaction? Everyone has their opinion. It's not like this drama is a critical hit with flawless plot and characterization. Far from it. If you don't want to see differing opinions don't come to a discussion board and take it as an echo chamber where you and your ilks of similar mindset share the same opinions and views.
I wouldn't shed a tear if the FL dies in the end. In fact it would be fitting and a deserved end. She's incredibly obnoxious, manipulative and self absorbed. Zero character growth. The writer tries hard to portray her as a sympathetic character but it's a failure. How can they write such a trash lead.
Why are Republican dramas always sooooo historically inaccurate??! And that dance they did was so cringe I could…
Republican dramas are a mish mash of the 10's to 40's era without bothering for historical accuracy. I'm surprise the Chinese have not put computers and mobile phones in dramas set in this period. The styling, technology, popular culture....etc are often widely inaccurate.
The English title is so odd. It sounds like a modern gaming drama. There are more coherent and appropriate terms to translate the native Chinese title.
I was more pissed off seeing Liu Ran's brother only ending up like that than satisfied with the main villain being brought to justice. That whiny, obnoxious twat deserves much more than he got in the end. A completely annoying and pointless character from start to finish.
You have the same rehash, tiresome, unintelligible gibberish every other comment. For someone who hates this drama so much you seem to be quite invested in coming back here spreading your nasty and pointless opinion. Is there someone in this drama you don't particularly like or do you just feel you have to share every inane thought and negative comment you have for this drama all the time. Time to put this drama at the back of the drawer. That's what any semi intelligent and reasonable person does.
I saw Weaving a Tale of Love and Court Lady back to back and I did see the potential of this couple. They would be perfect in similar palace politics dramas.
JJY has a very limited range as an actress. I've finished 3 costume dramas from her and in all of them she has the same characterization and delivery. She also gives off similar vibes here. A rather dead fish and muted style of acting. The good news is she's palatable to my taste and I could look past her defects. This is unlike that other actress with an airing drama whose screaming and campy acting really irritates the hell out of me. I've dropped every drama I've started from her and I never plan to watch anything from her ever again. This one meanwhile is my 4th JJY drama.
The ML really irritates me. It would have been better had he been played by a more charismatic and likeable actor because his overbearing attitude would have been more acceptable. Between the arrogant ML and the obsessive 2nd ML the FL is better off becoming a nun. I have really no interest in the main leads romance sadly.
It's slow witted BTW. More reading and study would be beneficial.
