I'm so not in the mood for xianxia dramas. I feel like watching TMOPB, HSALF, and L&R and you'd pretty much covered every xianxia drama there is. I'm always up for wuxia and palace politics dramas though. Something like Stand by Me which I greatly enjoyed. I'd been hoping to see this after watching that.

I wanna finish this as I wasn't able to complete this when I first watched this years ago. However because of a tragic event with one of the actors of this drama I'm having a hard time picking this up again.

Heck, I was gonna say Angelababy and her husband had same age difference and then I found out she and Huang Xiaoming divorced early this year.

One of the rare times MDL is actually lower than Douban. I think 8.5 would be a fair score for this drama.

Great chemistry between the leads. Really natural and so effortless.

Another Korean historical where the writer thinks their too clever and gives us another loose and hanging ending. It was still worth it but I wouldn't think of watching this again.

I'm rewatching this again and my opinion has not changed on his(ML) sister. She's pointless and annoying. The drama would have been better if she had been written out.

Crowned Clown is way better than this one. At least that one never had a problem of lingering on the same plot. This is why I'm reminded I never watch much Korean historical dramas. They seem to have an affinity of the plot with a conflicted Crown Prince against the old guard and present king. Of course that comes with never ending back and forth conflict, and passive aggressive behavior between him and the King. It's tiresome and ridiculous.

Too many overarching themes and subplots but they keep going back to the same conflict with the demented king and the ML. You know when a plot has runs its course dry, it's time to bury it and find something new. At episode 12 I was pretty much spaced out already with the same tired story about the old bat going apeshit on his grandson again. Never mind I had to endure watching some ridiculous plotting on to force another of the same conflict.

I've seen a lot of verbal diarrhea here but reading this one for the first time I can confidently say these could probably compete for top spot.

This drama went off the rails in the second half. My patience and self control have been severely tested by this drama and I've had enough. I don't think I've ever been this irritated and annoyed in a long time. I already dropped it once and tried to watch it again for a second time. This time I'm glad to say I will never finish this train wreck.

So it turn out after her grating tantrums, incessant whining and complaining it turn out what happen to her stepmother was not what she thought. She was willing to destroy her clan for it btw. Maybe if she was less arrogant, overconfident and more level headed she might have deduce the truth. The FL's personality borders on parody and a joke.

What an annoying and obnoxious FL. The part where she turn her clan upside down because her stepmother died irritated me to no end. I think getting b**** slapped by her father was being too kind.

I hope they don't waste any time on the FL's annoying maid. For a drama with not much airtime I would think they'd be a lot more thoughtful with characters they put out.

A reasonable and intelligent person would have a certain amount of prudence and use more judicious choice of words especially matters concerning politics and religion. An even more intelligent person would have the wisdom to never bring it up. What a complete asinine, combative and irrelevant comment that will obviously invite criticism.

If Dilraba does not take this can the producers cast PXR for this. She'll ace this role and her chemistry with the ML is proven and still very potent.

Only 25 episodes now and I thought the 30 episodes posted before was already a tight squeeze. With this kind of storyline, I would find it surprising if they manage to get a logical ending and tie the loose ends. Hello disjointed plot!

Is this real? Gosh it took me a very long time to get over the fact they were never going to be an item. Imagine my shock when I found out the real score. I didn't even know who they were when I first saw Waves of Life. Frankly I was a bit naive back then plus also very bias against their real life partners. I'm just trying to contain my excitement. Hopefully this happens and it's a good drama.
