It's just like couple in Go Go Squid. Yang Zi played a student 10 years younger than ML. Xiao Zhan and Li Xian are also the same age but Yang Zi has a baby face so I guess this age gap kinda works.

ML should really have dropped FL and let her scram with second ML. That would have been a more apt ending and what she deserves. She along with the traitor Gu Yuan were the most irritating characters in this drama.

Just the same tired, pointless, noisy post over and over just like the ones in the Legend of Awakening page. I barely remember posters but when someone is quite the diligent hater it eventually and naturally leaves an impression. Just makes you wonder how pathetic and low some people can reach.

That was an intense trailer. Shawn Dou and Leon Zhang look very handsome. The story is also interesting. Release this already.

I like their chemistry but Fu Rong is undeserving of Duke Su's devotion. FL is just so suspicious and easily wavers in her trust for the ML. I never felt she was truly devoted to him at all and just takes for granted the ML's love for her. I just finished watching the Sleepless Princess and I never once felt FL wavered in her feelings and trust for the ML despite misunderstandings. I know it would be unrealistic to demand the same kind of loyalty from every FL but Fu Rong's behavior is just completely irrational.

If this drama had been cut down from 48 to 40 then that would explain why some episodes seem jarring and rushed. Goodbye My Princess only had 3 episodes cut and that had scenes that completely changed the drama's overall tone and dynamics. Throwing out 8 episodes is too much. That's one-sixth of the entire drama deleted. This is already a good drama as it is, I think it would have been better without all those editing. Hopefully they release the full version in the future. I just don't understand why they had to do it. It's not like this was shown on TV and had to undergo the greater scrutiny of the Chinese censors.

I love Gank Your Heart and I've been hoping to see something similar in the same MOBO genre. Also kinda funny seeing how good looking this team is. In GYH there were still "normal" looking members.

Very nice trailer. Really gets you in the mood for this drama. It's a shame it has been shelved for so long. The good news is this won't feel dated since this is a historical drama and the production is top notch. Like the Wolf I'll probably just expect the unexpected. If it does come then wouldn't that be awesome.

I had to fast forward all the stupid and silly schemes against Fu Rong. Skipped 28 and 29 it was just scheme after scheme. FL of course is so oblivious and so gullible she just falls victim to them. She is of course so harmless and passive and never hits back.

Love the voice of the FL so soothing. I think that's her dubbing since ZYC is also using his own voice.

Very strong supporting cast. This honestly looks like a big budget drama since producers didn't just cast run of the mill actors. I'm actually familiar with most of the main casts.

Xue Mu is so pitiful and sentimental. I didn't expect that twist in the story honestly.

Aside from his overflowing arrogance the ML's hypocritical sentimentality is honestly one of the most irritating thing ever. Whilst people are getting killed because of his identity he truly doesn't care. When his guard died he mouths off something about people are all equal and what not so he literally has a tantrum and turn the city upside down so he could exact justice for his charge. No word spoken or tear shed on those poor souls that were massacred nor any semblance of prudence and deliberation on his part on how his actions could implicate people. He just plows ahead leaving a trail of bodies behind him. As long as he could tickle his ego and babble about equality, its all good. Possibly the most annoying and least self aware ML ever. The rating is frankly too high for a drama with a problematic lead. At least the supporting casts including the antagonists were stellar and they played their roles well. That I can recognize.

Well if the ML was as smart as he likes to claim, which BTW he constantly reminds the hapless people around him all the time. He'd know goddess level beauty and dress to the nines Fried Chicken Girl would not be a maid and waste numerous episodes just finding her.

Frankly he is the D student in Mei Chang Su's lecture class on power and politics that accidentally found a super secret weapon that at least turn him into a semi capable politician. Still terrible IMO.

My first review ever was because I had to rant on the ML. He is honestly borderline obnoxious and just incredibly full of himself. If he wasn't the central character I'd have wish him dead before the first episode. Everything is so black and white to him and of course he is always right and what not because he knows more than this silly people around him.

I wanna bestow upon the FL using her own hands 1000 slaps in the face while reciting a pledge to renounce her arrogant behavior. I think that would fix her high strung attitude.

The FL is an insufferable twat. She is overbearing and full of herself. After getting swept in the adventure genre of Cdramas and marathoning The Lost Tomb and Candle in the Tomb series, I had to check this one out. First of all I've come to love this genre, LAY is here and my homegirl Wang Zi Xuan is also here. Sadly I had to drop this because the FL is so thoroughly unlikable. She is an antithesis to A Ning in the Lost Tomb or Shirley Yang in Candle in the Tomb. Annoying as hell!

Kinda weird seeing an over 45+ woman acting the part of a young innocent lass. Tiffany Tang is not too far behind. I still think this is still a better method though than have some young actress play their younger selves and they look so unlike each other.

What a dud ending. They tried to portray the FL as some high minded and noble character who has pure intentions toward ML and not just marrying for money. Instead she came off as petty and high strung. ML really should have dump her after her ridiculous test.
