I like Ancy Deng. She was the only saving grace in the horror that was Legend of Awakening. If you'd watch that then you'd know she already had a role with a love line. I think she was 13 when it was filmed. Her partner was in his 20's. I really I cannot understand all the fake controversy about her age. I'm guessing most of the criticism come from Western fans and their whack standards. I'm pretty sure there isn't going to be anything close to the vulgarity and tastelessness of Hollywood productions. No need for the faux outrage, please take a seat!

This is honestly a better version of Under the Power. Good chemistry between the leads. My only gripe is the 2nd FL is another one of those annoying happy camper character.

I would have watch this without the atrocious editing and cuts. Throwing away half of the scenes and expecting a smooth story is asking for the impossible. If they ever release the full version I will watch that one.

I knew GGS was a complete overhaul of the original novel but I did not expect them to do it again. I was hoping they'd stick with the GGS universe. Now we have 2 dramas that are supposedly sequels but in fact have different storylines.

I want to see a xianxia drama where FL actually ends up and considers the 2nd ML.

I dislike people who have a rather superficial appreciation of aspects of the story, its characters and the traditions where this story is rooted in. Just because someone is going in between the leads ever after doesn't mean their villains. The FL qualifes as a villain herself since she was quite a piece of work in the past and in multiple lifetimes I must say. A class in the teachings of Daoism would be beneficial to attain understanding. As for the the subtle attempts to connect this to popular modern activism, I consider it disingenuous and laughable. That word is so overused these days my eyes start to roll each time I see it. Lastly, the name calling is just plain rude and vulgar.

I smiled when Dijun uttered the line 由爱故生忧，由爱故生怖 (you ai gu sheng you, you ai gu sheng bu). Where there is love, there is sorrow. This was what Jinmi remembered when she was dying when she came in between Phoenix and Night Immortal. Her final words were a reinterpretation of this saying. This drama really is a literal homage to HSALF and TMOPB. The feel and look of this one is so similar to those two.

A solid 8.5 but no better IMO. Not as good as HSAF and definitely not TMOPB. The ML is almost too good to be true. Loyal and faithful for lifetimes. As for the FL, I think it's obvious why she lost her six senses in this lifetime. When you include her previous lives it's clear why she could not ascend. She was obstinate, full of hate, unforgiving and unhinged. I fail to see why people find her appealing. She is a disturbing character honestly.

Another drama going on the drop list. The ML is a lovelorn fool who spends his time pining for the empress instead of confronting his psychotic brother the emperor. Guy does not deserve his moniker of God of War, he hides his tail everytime the annoying emperor implicates him in another ridiculous scheme. As for the FL she is ultimately a power hungry woman. Instead of guiding the inept God of War ML to exact justice she chose to latch onto the emperor. Also she's a lot better as amnesiac than regaining her memory of empress. I really wanted to watch this for CZY after his performance as Xiao Yu'er in Handsome Siblings but gosh his character in this drama is so frustrating.

Gosh the villains in this story are just allowed to hang around and run away instead of getting killed. The leads just let them slip away so easily. Not much happening tomb raiding wise in the jungle and underground river part. Instead their getting pick off by an oppponent they could have easily killed off.

This is isn't Goodbye My Princess where despite all the betrayals and misunderstandings you still root for the leads to end up together. I'm only at episode 13 and I'm so done with the lead couple.Somehow I just want them to scram and go to some faraway place and let the story continue without them. After knowing the ending, I just have to drop this.

Gosh ML is so arrogant and high strung. Sorry not interested in their us against the world love story. The ML is an annoying sappy idealist with a boatload of past baggage that has grandiose dreams of world peace. Watching him is such a chore. I commend the drama though for having one of the BEST production value and cinematography that I have ever seen. In this aspect this drama gets top marks. I'm just not sold on the lead couple love story.

Love the OST of this drama. They were the one of the first Chinese songs I had memorized.

The beginning OST is one of the better ones I've heard recently almost as memorable as the one in Eternal Love. It really sets the mood for the viewers.

The ending was kinda expected. Based on her Shifu's character that was his plan all along. I don't know what all the ruckus is about. Mu Jiu Chuan is clearly not a vacillating and sentimental character. I was not liking the story from 20-25 but it picked up towards the end and I'd say this is a must watch. I want a season 2. They could make Zhao Ge's mom as villain.

I wanna see her in a costume drama or any drama with Yibo. Love their chemistry. Very natural

Ju Jing Yi really should take advantage of this second chance and finally lock lips with SWL. It would be such a waste of chemistry.

Goodness your talking as if Liu Yi Fei is starving and needs Hollywood to stay afloat. She doesn't need it and neither do most Chinese stars except for Fan Bingbing. I don't like the CCP but I cannot fault LYF when she shows supports for her own country. A stark contrast to Hollywood stars who busy themselves hating on their own.

I need him back in a costume drama. I love his performance in Secret of Three Kingdoms and also liking his portrayal in Ice Fantasy.

Wow LYF and Lu Han in the same drama. If true I'm in. No idea who the other 2 female casts are so I'm guessing ZHW is the FL.
