Wish they fleshed out the story more. I think an extra 15 episodes would have been perfect. The plot is engaging and for once the female lead is actually engaging, funny and relatable. Thank God! I don't know know many how times I've had to suffer through either an FL that is too meek and a wallpaper or the opposite the bratty, overbearing, wonderwoman type.

I am confused by the storyline. Lead girl has lost her memory or possessed by another since her cofrontation and then spent years finding Celestial Fruit to regain cultivation but somehow is oblivious to events around her. How in the world does she not know the other personalities all these time especially her longtime fiance and her childhood rival. I find it impossible she would not know them since they are all searching for the same thing.

Gui Li needs to be protrayed by an actor with a more youthful look and vibe than Han Dong ditto Bi Yao. Li Man is a good actress and is younger than ZLY but she comes off as a bit too strong for me. I think a more feminine actress would have been better. I am not familiar with the actress playing LXQ.

This drama is a parody of the original. I actually really like this in the beginning but has grown irritated with it as the show went along. Let me put it this way. The plot is a contrive concoction whose purpose is to make the FL appear like some larger than life personality, a once in a century talent if you will but she has the behavior and appearance of a preteen. An utter fail.

LOL they just made the beginner FL look like some sort of archery genius. A perfect 30 in her first round in her first tournament and we didn't even see her struggle. In the original PMY's character had to work hard to get a bullseye. It's so convenient and believable.

I thought for the longest time this was based on the wuxia novel Precious Sword, Golden Hairpin by Wang Dulu. I just read the synopsis and realized its not the same book LOL.

I understand why there hesitant. He played Xiao Nai then Ye Xiu and then this. There's also a second season of The King's Avatar whose topic is a game called Glory. It's all too similar for his fans and even I was surprised he accepted this role.

Neo looks very handsome in costume. What a beautiful looking pair.

Soon to be 10 years but this drama never gets old. It helps that it's a sageuk drama and it doesn't become dated like modern drama from a decade ago. I am currently watching the Chinese remake but this one just hits differently. Perfect cast and engaging story.

Sungkyunkwan Scandal is certainly more realistic, memorable and the characters more likeable. I find this version a bit too fantastical and idealistic with leads who have slow character development and relationship growth. If your watching this because you love SKKS then it might not be up to standard.

I agree Gu Man is not a gifted writer but she does have uncanny talent of drawing people to her works.

Lei Ze Xin really gets on my nerve. Seriously! All these episodes in and I still don't like him. This guy is in a constant pity party. I hate his arrogance of expecting people to cater to his whims and eccentricity completely forgetting the fact that the only reason people even indulge his capriciousness is because he is the son of a powerful nobleman.

Bi Wen Jun is giving his role some justice. His really earning himself some nice OTP points. I might flip if the slow as tortoise romance between the ML and FL continue in the upcoming episodes.

I haven't seen Deng Lun in a gaming drama. I would love to see them pair up again since they had lovely chemistry in Sweet Dreams. Honestly that was the only thing that keep me from watching it. I think a mellow and more laid back romcom like this one would be perfect to showcase their pairing.

You could not even name Xiao Zhan among a line of secondary actors before the Untamed and your now calling Yang Yang overrated. 真是!

Lei Ze Xin's me against the world drama is so tiresome and overdone. I wouldn't shed a tear if his character suffer the lead role death trope in Chinese dramas. The good news is I won't be suffering from SLS in this drama. The main leads have great chemistry and the other roles are just meddling between them.

It was a passing comment on dramas penchant for these types of relationships. I suppose people these days consider that opinion a bit offensive? It required a little more subtlety. I should have called her cute and bubbly and that would have satisfied some people's sensibilities.

Thankfully I'm not one of those that act shock just because someone has a less than generous opinion on things. Is it bad to have standards or does everyone these days require a pat in the back? As I said I was pining for classic beauties in these dramas because they are a rarity these days. No need for the faux outrage.

Love this plot but sigh! I am getting jaded watching dramas where good looking ML is head over heels over plain looking FL with a spunky personality. I think I've just watched a little too many of them recently. Why can't I get more clasically beautiful lead actresses like Peng Xiaoran, Wang Zixuan or Dilraba in these type of dramas.

It's on Dramacool. The resolution is terrible though. I'm still searching for the HD version so I can rewatch again. A couple of episodes are uploaded on YT but that's about it. I am hoping it gets pick up by Netflix or MGTV upload the entire series on their channel.
