Apparently Didi's personality in real life is very similar to Dou Ming Si. Only without all of the anger. Makes sense why they would trust this project to such a rookie.
Agreed, honestly this was one was so bad it disappointed me greatly since i had been waiting for this since January,
People who write reviews without finishing the show are lame. Finish the show then write a review... otherwise just write you didn't like it in the comments.
Mango TV is uploading the series on YouTube, for those who want to compare the two versions:*TV version: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL0PsHrQxhYwRuh-oV81FEuSJcjmkes3ST*DVD…
It sounds to me like only Shen Yue’s voice is dubbed. Her actual voice is deeper and more mature sounding. But…
Also to get rid of any unwanted "noise" during production. If you watch the behind the scenes of any Chinese drama, there's no such thing as "quiet on the set." It's super noisy and you can hear people working on the set in the background.
In my opinion Korean one has always been the worst version, so this one is probably better
I completely agree. I've watched all versions of this story. Japanese, Taiwanese, Korean...I did not watch the first Chinese version but this one is pretty good. I thought out of the four versions that I watched, the Korean was the worst one.
I am 6 episodes in and I just have to say... I love Dylan Wang as Dou Ming Si. He captures the character's childish narcissism perfectly. Shen Yue as Shan Cai is not bad. She doesn't have too many faces but she really nailed some of the tough crying scenes so far. I am liking it.
I've watched all 3 major adaptations of HanaDan and Meteor Garden has always been at the top of my list. Learning…
When I was 10 years old, I was totally unabashedly on board the Lei train. This Lei does nothing for me. Both Si and Lei look like babies in this remake but at least Si has an adorable face. Lei's hair is ridiculous... like can the boy get a better hair cut?
I'm loving this so far! I am a very big fan of the story and have watched the taiwanese, japanese and korean versions.…
I so agree. I love that they literally redid the SAME scenes from the original Taiwanese version. I knew I fell in love with the original for a reason. I watched all versions of Hana Yori Dango, and even though the Japanese version reigns supreme for me, this version is really good too.
I know it is your opinion but saying this show trounces Nirvana in Fire is just... did we want the same show? The one thing I will give this show over NIF is the cinematography because it is frankly amazing and deserves to be appreciated. I will also throw in budget because this show cost a fortune to make and it's obvious. But storyline wise... it is plot hole galore with stagnant characters that do questionable things with little logic or reasoning. Not to mention all of the open storylines that just conveniently ended simply because show runners were expecting a second season with one nowhere to be seen.
But it is still enjoyable... it's like a guilty pleasure.
A one? They must not have been watching the same show I did...
