I really really wanted to like this version. I enjoyed the first 6 episodes. But after that, I felt like it got…
I really hate the very obvious product placements.... it's sooo random and takes away from the story. I don't get how there are so many stupid rules in China about the type of story they are allowed to tell but no rules as to the type of products you can endorse in a show.
I wonder what people who haven't watched any of the other versions think of this.It seems that everything is happening…
All of my favorite scenes in the previous version feels so rushed over in this version... it kinda doesn't even register the same way. But... I have found many new scenes to be very sweet in this version so I guess it balances out.
took the words right out of my mouth. Never seen a character that was so dense lol

What will it take Shan Cai you dense, stubborn girl!?!?
Legit face palmed at episode 16 when Asi worked up the courage to yell loudly over fireworks that he liked Shan Cai... meanwhile to torture all of us watchers, she obviously couldn't hear him over the fireworks.
It might have been nearly two decades since my first boyfriend but I don't remember it being this painful. lol
It's almost as if... there weren't already 4 adaptations of this drama. While I understand where these people…
I get what you are saying. In fact, I actually would love for them to expand upon Si's anger issues rather than get rid of that whole arc all together because people have problems and it's a great opportunity to show the world how best to respond to these types of problems. Maybe we will get that type of growth in another remake in the future.
Gonna play some devil's advocate with most of the replies here. If this were any other drama that wasn't using…
Personally, I just find it tedious to read social commentary about the violence in this drama. I know violence is not generally acceptable in fluff drama (when it's more acceptable in other dramas...O.o like whatever) but there has been so many remakes of this same story. People know what to expect by now. Not to mention this remake actually toned down the violence by a whole lot without sacrificing the character development arc. You even said you saw an earlier version, so what exactly were you expecting from this version? That's like going into Mcdonald's knowing it is bad for you and expecting organic...
It's nice to see so many positive comments about this drama on mydramalist. I've been seeing a lot of awful and…
It's almost as if... there weren't already 4 adaptations of this drama. While I understand where these people are coming from, it is still suspect when this story is so well known that people already know the general story line. I hope that this is not hate masked as criticism over moral values.
I guess I'm the only one who is not coming from this generation who enjoyed watching this version.I had watched…
I watched the first Meteor Garden when I was 10 years old... you already know how obsessed I was over that show. I am currently watching this new Meteor Garden and I love it too. It's so great seeing all of the cameos and how they tweaked the story to make it better. Also Dylan and Shen Yue are really cute together.

Like.. that is violence that is generally unacceptable in society. Did you have a problem with that?
He threw food in her face, she literally kicked him in the face.
