at first i find this drama really slow pacing. the first episode is really hard to watch because how slow it was, how dark it was (i need to squint my eyes to see the details). and after watching ep 2, i put it on hold so i can continue watching once all episodes release. however, tiktok bring me back to this drama again. i stumbled the spoilers talking about tae goo & seolhyun relationship in this drama, and i swear i cried just by reading it. and here i am now. done watching until ep 6. trust me people, it does get better.

exactly! glad that we’re watching it during its airing time. hence, we got no choice unless to watch it till the end (since we don’t know the ending). but for new watchers, they might find it hard to continue since they know the ending based on the spoilers.
would there be a possibility for yuan bingyan to make a comeback in this entertainment industry? feels like such a great lost, she had so much potential. i love her acting in this drama alongside chengyi. and this drama was one of the earliest cdrama that i’ve watched and one of the best too! i hope other actors/actresses learned the lessons and pay their taxes.
this is a drama of rebirth done right. usually i hated rebirth drama because they mostly just gonna repeat the same decision making like in the past life. but here, the FL used her knowledges of her past life at its best. she work hard try not to repeat every wrong decisions she made in the past. she equipped herself better with a good career, good mindset and a strong personality where people will never get to take advantage of her again. and the best thing she did was set up the bookshop (or what the term again, i forgot); where she can gather all of the informations not just for her own benefits but for SM in particular. brilliant move!
am so mad watching this, not for anything but zhou zifei character. instead of fighting over the japanese, he only think about to save his own skin and his family, sacrificing literally everyone even those people who work for him. over and over again, always try to kill gu yizhong rather than unite with him for a better cause. like i wanna crawl into the screen, take the gun and shot him on his head, what a stupid traitor.
am watching this for joseph zeng and chen duling, the romance is almost non-existent, not between these two obviously. except crying for the dead caused (mostly not bcs of japanese) and my blood pressure going high because zhou zifei. plot are kinda repetitive but okay.

and another thing, why Dou Zhao didn’t give the hints to Song Mo about what gonna happened to Duke Ding? she managed to change almost everything around her. but of course, if she tell him, then they’ll be no stories and white hair Song Mo 😅
