you haven’t even watched till the end, yet you already judge that ‘there will be zero accountability’ and ‘all her crimes will be whitewashed’ for the FL. how you’re differ from her in terms of prejudice? this is a drama, there’s plotline and characters development. what do you expect? in 10 eps already they’re being lovey-dovey? even irl, you take time to get to know someone, months or even years to finally getting married. it’s annoying but it will pass, it’s 40 eps for reasons. the angst/heartbreak the ML faced it’s the key ingredients to give more impact to the watchers. i think it’s good impression for the ML, Liu Yuning, because well can you see how brilliant his acting in those annoying time FL make him suffered?

be patient— you almost there. try watch till the end and see how you think about her again.

and the rest of the AMAZING CAST and BEAUTIFUL LINE UP!
it all takes one great drama, a masterpiece, brilliant and beautiful written script, with an excellent cinematography and OSTs, great acting and chemistry, for me to fall in love with these actors and their characters! still one of my top fav dramas and will always be.

i have so much fate for this drama, the leads are SE epitome. i don’t mind sad endings if it’s done well, and even loving more the happy ending if it’s for these two! please broadcast soon

Me too! i remembered that scenes very clearly and still cried every time watching it. and also the OST accompanying those heartbreaking dialogues, the angst feels so good.

fanwars is the hideous thing in entertainment world. poor actresses/actors who gets dragged everytime by their fans/other fans when they clearly just doing their job in acting.

yeah, that could be one of the reasons too. i’ve seen her get ridiculed because of her look and how she isn’t suitable for the roles. too bad some people caring too much about the beauty standards, not knowing she’s one of the best actress in China.

i watched the drama years ago. but everytime i open the yt, some clips of the drama always pop up in my scroll. the scene where gujun bid farewell to houchi and return her primordial spirit is a top tier angsty— i cried everytime. to think that Zhou Dongyu graced our screen with the drama itself is an understatement. i hope we get to see more of her in wuxia and xianxia drama— though the possibility is quite low considering she’s a marketable actress with high demands for movies.

anyway, love this drama to bits. the acting, the plot and the OST, all embodied the xianxia best ingredients.

take it as a character development. her skepticim and prejudice will eventually taught her lessons. she will redeem herself at the end. imo, she’s full of flaws but that’s make her more humane and realistic.

arghhh listening to Liu Yuning singing the Paper Person in his concert tonight, bring back memories. missing our paper figures in ADWAD storybook. Liu Yuning ATE the song as if he EATs the CD. such a fine actor and singer!

this is honestly so good. i love all the stories. it’s the stories on how these women strived to keep on living despite of the circumstances, hold onto their belief in a world full of prideful men and bunch of foolish ones. it’s not just the unkind men against the women, it’s the society, the norms, the world against the women. it’s melancholic, sad, based on women historical figures, inspiring and uplifting.

currently at ep11; wow never seen such a well-plotted revenge and the end just destroyed me. it’s sad how revenge cause so much misery not only to the people around, to the perpertrators, as well as the victim (the doers) themselves. i mourned for victim (the doer). in this case, i support her doing her revenge, but truly it’s a heartbreaking case full of twist. the accomplice, doing a very good job in portraying his evil side. when they lay side by side in the burning hall, with the heartwrenching OST, i cried more than i intended to. good job to the actress and the actor, the twist at the end, truly a good one (we saw it coming— but it truly breaks our heart).

honestly can’t praise enough how brilliantly the script was written. apart from having a line up of good casting such as Liu Yuning and Li Yitong, this drama excel with the dialogues and the messages were successfully conveyed.

I decided to rewatch this drama yesterday, mainly because i know it’s THAT good and i forgotten the plot and how the ending happened. so rewatched 10 eps, and suddenly I remembered everything. arghh, now idk either to continue watching or not. what Feng Yuan did to Helian Xi, arghh the festive angst in the rest of the episodes. i still remember sobbing myself watching the last episodes year ago. amazing acting from the rising stars, great storyline for a short drama. we need this type of angsty more in costumes drama.
