i hate the scene where Gong Shanjue pointed out that Gong Ziyu didn’t qualify to be Sword Wielder, didnt care about the fact he was born prematurely or he’s illegitimate child. but it’s the fact that Gong Ziyu counter back the words that seems weak. Like whatever he’s feeling, he’s not rational & immatured. And I can’t help to be convinced that Gong Shangjue was right. If he wants to be a Sword Wielder & have the intention to kill the previous SW & the young lord, he’ll be there somewhere near during those two died. See, Gong Ziyu arguments were weak, & his accusations were just based on his feelings.
I hope, he can prove himself worthy to be the SW & truly find the real murder of his father & brother. Also, dont you find Housekeeper Jin to be a bit suspicious? it seems like he was being ordered to tell lie towards Gong Ziyu so they can put the blame on Gong Yuanzhi. the housekeeper gave it too easy, it suspicious.
The more I watched the eldest sister, the more i become fond of her. In the midst of suspense & critical situations, her character can truly livened up the mood. In episode 4 specifically, i cant help but laugh looking at her behaviour & flirty acts. Her expressions & body languages truly did the good job, what an actress she is. Jin Fan seems he had enough of her, though i think that Jin Fan deserved better, but somehow i want them to end up together. Their chaotic-ness & chemistry are truly amazing.
just finished ep3, and well, the voice of that assassin organisation, isnt that a female voice? that wife is definitely…
for real. having the same thoughts also, especially about the lady (it might be the same person in wufeng & gong’s family). ikr; i mean.. the sudden death between those two were weird & so sudden. idk what to expect in the upcoming episodes, but it seems so many things will unravel. so far, the drama is so interesting & always make me feel at the edge of my seat especially watching those two beautiful assassins, they’re so dark, calculating & badass.
i’m still not yet watching ep 9 & 10. been avoiding this comments section for few days in case of spoilers. & I didn’t even scroll down the comments or even if i did, i close my eyes shut. lol. still have patience to wait, still having a good time here. still day dreaming about jang hyun & gil chae flirting all lovey dovey. gonna continue day dreaming about them until i decided to watch those two episodes with fully subbed. wish me luck!
Guo Jing Ming is the director. He films beautiful movies. The Yin Yang Master: Dreams of Eternity (with Mark Chao…
ahaa no wonder! i watched it already (the ying yang master; it was a good movie) how about the painted skin also having the same director?? I remember reading his name (Guo Jing Ming) in the painted skin title. no wonder kinda find the similarities & vibes.
This drama truly have those movies vibes. The cinematography just so beautiful & captivating. It’s a rare to see wuxia drama having these kind of dark yet sophisticated cinematography. It looks so expensive & rich, raw & detailed, and the experience watching it as if it’s im watching a movie. Kudos production team of My Journey To You. You guys did a hella good job 👏🏻
i’m guilty for thinking that Gong Ziyu’s brother has ulterior motives towards him: then, suddenly his brother & father d-word 🥺 plus, why the lady (cant remember her name — wife of his father) seems so suspicious?? she’s the sole witness, yet her explanation kinda weird & doesn’t makes sense. I think she has something to do with death of gz’s father & brother.
This drama is darker than my future lol. it scares the hell outta me sometimes. Every scenes are just so mesmering dark yet beautiful; so many characters introduced in the first two episodes. It’s hard to determine which one is one apart from the main leads (they all look kinda the same to me). anyway, this is quite good so far. im loving it already, cant wait to watch more episodes. also, my first time watching esther yu in this kind of role; completely different from lbfad; and i would say she look extra gorgeous in this drama; badass & dark.
It was on 7.8 for a while and it was exciting when it went to 8.1 😅 We were suffering.
wow, what a rapid progress! hope it stay that way. im so excited that this drama is getting more & more audiences/recognition as it should. the cast members deserved it 🥺
i didnt see the earlier rating of this drama during its first release. but from 8.5 to 8.6 to 8.7??! people really got a taste! hope it soar until 9 or even more, bcs god this drama certainly deserved it! burn brightly, my dearest 🔥🔥
It's actually pretty entertaining if you're in the mood for it and willing to lose a few brain cells in the process.…
😂😂 too bad that i dont really have a taste. but certainly willing to see other people losing their few brain cells. it’s entertaining like you mentioned.

you guys be really arguing over fictional characters where i love the drama as a whole. i love them all; i love lost you forever that i’m a part of team cang xuan-xiaoyao-tushan jing-xiang liu. cant decide which one is better than the other, i want them all living happily together 😭
stumbled an article that said this is the third ahn eun jin’s works that become hits. first; hosplay, second; the good bad mother; and my dearest is the third. that in itself speak volumes on how talented she is.
she took the right scripts, the right partners to be paired with, the right productions; and taraaa ~ a masterpiece produced!
read in the article also, that more people started to watch this drama & become convincing with ahn eun jin performance as gil chae. im so proud of her. had watched her in the good bad mother, and she’s good in it. in my dearest, she’s absolutely fantastic. plus, pairing with namgoong min as the male lead, their chemistry just top notch! they took romance genres to the whole new level. the one that feels beautiful in all senses yet so painfully heartbreaking.
