i was really excited for this after the pilot but why does this have such low ratings :( ? what's wrong with the…
The expectations for this drama weren't met. There was a lot of hype surrounding everything - from the pairing to the production value so the stakes for this to succeed were always high. The story doesn't flow well and feels dragged out during certain parts, acting seems to be lacking emotion from some characters during a few scenes and if you focus too deep on the political argumentation, you'll find lots of logic errors. But I'd say that in general it's by no means a bad drama if you don't have expectations only for the romance. There's a lot of focus on the plot and different characters and I think some people were too hung up on the romance while watching.
I was really hoping that maybe Domundi finally got better script writers, but they got me fooled again. I'm a huge enjoyer of bubbly-personality characters, but not when they act like 13 year olds. You're telling me that Teerak really needed a permission from his family members to leave the house every time? Or that during the argument with his father he couldn't just move in with Fah into his apartment instead of becoming a prisoner at his own home? But then suddenly at the end he was probably supposed to have matured thanks to Fah, but to me it seemed like he just got depressed and wasn't as happy as before. But what started actually being icky to me was the scripting of their intimacy which was clearly just for fanservice. Because they rushed into sharing a passionate kiss and sleeping together as soon as they started dating, but then by the next episode Teerak was suddenly uncomfortable with Fah's face getting close to his? And this went on for 5 episodes until in the last one they suddenly had another bedroom scene out of nowhere? Like sure, hugs and embraces are cute, but it felt weird to not see them kiss for whole 5 episodes during their entire relationship when they did it on day 1. A real relationship could very much fall apart like this, a lack of intimacy can be a serious issue unless both parties agree that they're okay with it. But that's the thing, with how much they rushed into the bed and never had a talk about taking it slower, it's apparent that this was just a pointless fanservice that really ruined the continuation of the story.
Somehow I'm usually the one complaining about low ratings of dramas, but domundi's production manages to achieve the opposite (almost) every time.
As someone who loves comedy I'm currently split between finding some jokes/scenes funny and some feeling a bit too forced. Also ironically OffGun's chemistry is kind of a disadvantage in this because I get too much into the romance when their characters interact and then it's difficult to get back into comedy lol.
Well, I'm curious how it's going to develop in terms of the comedy balancing.
I GENUINELY think this series writer and director needs to never make another thing again and apologize fully…
I didn't want to be critical of the cast, but now that you've mentioned it, the director's track record of his past dramas is so bad. He's worked on quite a lot of BLs and all of them are ones which people think had potential, but were poorly executed. I really wish he could take a break from directing and get more practise in it before taking on another job because director's skill is such a crucial part of how a drama will be perceived.
I'm literally only watching this to laugh at how badly managed this whole thing is. Like the plot and characters are inconsistent and all over the place, but it's hilarious how much things don't make sense.
On a more serious note though, I do feel really bad for Tutor and Yim since after Cutie Pie a lot of us were excited for their first main couple drama and it could've been so good if they were given something with a proper script and directory.
I really love how the colour theory played a role in each of the loops and in the end once they all reunited, they'd coordinated to wear the colour of the very first loop. It was such a small, but nice detail :)
Fr!! Iโm sad that it not subbed the half way. And years later still not subbed!! ๐ญ
In the later episodes there are a lot of students saying they were watching the show during the filming at their schools so I'm assuming it was popular in S Korea. I honestly reckon international viewers would be more interested in it if they'd made another season now as way more people have begun watching in k-shows.
All we can hope for is that season 2 will ever be made or some other producing company comes up with a similar concept ๐

Oh wow, it seems I'm not the only person who has found this variety show years after its airing! So I'd watched more episodes after writing that comment and now I really wish the subtitler got to the schools where the production started dropping the regular cast and brought in more females because I liked the initial episodes when everyone was new to the experience and the girl students weren't only being portrayed as fans ๐
I really adore Cher's personality, excitable and clumsy are the types of characters I usually end up liking the most :D Also I'm actually enjoying the fast pacing in theory since it should mean that they're going to be dealing with the main conflict as an established couple and the beginning of them getting together was meant to only serve as the character introduction. And I'm really hoping it's going to be like this as it derails from the usual plot of either having the classic focus on getting together or an established couple telling their story in retrospective. Would be a shame if this was ruined by a prolonged period of them being uncertain about their relationship status or a non-existent/non-sensical conflict.
It's called making drama. These kinds of scenes are created to make a series, movie, or drama entertaining. Sorta…
Honestly, I'm all for showing non-consensual scenes in romance dramas, but only if there are follow-up consequences and it's not brushed off. And I think they did great showing how Uea wasn't happy about it and wanted to pretend it never happened! Though I'm still hoping to see King do something to make Uea forgive him before they progress with their sexual relationship as Uea hasn't been given a reason to forgive him yet.
Honestly, as someone who absolutely hated everything about season 1 except for the 3 minutes of NuerSyn per episode and the (wasted) production value, I see this as a huge improvement. I mean, it wasn't by any means good when the entire season consisted of either no-plot dialogues, same-sex marriage pandering or making out scenes and Lian Kuea's characters in particular felt so 2-dimensional it's like they had 3 personality traits in total. But compared to the utter toxicity and constant going in circles of LianKuea and YiDiao's relationships in season 1, this actually felt like a decent drama lol.
i fucking knew it he wont get it lmao why are you so dumb Gun lol I am literally crying
Not sure if this was commented before watching the whole episode, but I'm convinced that Gun had been aware of Tinn's feelings for longer than he was letting on and yet didn't want to get his hopes up since he knew they wouldn't be able to date anyways.
Is it really that hard to not specifify names of existing conditions for made-up symptoms? I promise your work won't lose quality if you label a disability as an "unidentified special condition".
As someone who has prosopagnosia, I keep having to explain that I don't actually see blurry faces and my vision is perfectly fine. We don't need popular media spreading this very common misconception.

If Uea is an ordinary salaryman, he has to work at the richest company in all of Thailand.
