As someone who enjoys this series but can still acknowledge the flaws, I disagree with your opinion that this series is "objectively" great. What you're doing is gaslighting people into believing their opinions are invalid. By saying their observational skills are poor or that they're lying due to faulty perspective. Not a great way to get your opinion across, if you ask me.

I think before we become concerned about that, we should ask ourselves, did GMMTV really build up 10 episodes of chasing to make them finally become boyfriends, only to make it as Wat imagining it all? Does that make any sense to you? Frankly it makes ZERO sense to me. That SAD story sounds like fanfiction.

I think we talked about this before in one of your comments but let me clear up the misconception again. The rating never dropped. It has always been PG-13 since EP1. It was MDL and whoever was creating this series's profile, that incorrectly put the wrong PG.

I'm not sure what you mean by this but my understanding is, you believe because the scenes from EP10 was cut down, that was why the ratings changed from PG-15 to PG-13? If that is what you mean then as stated previously, this series has always been PG-13, no scene cutting or anything from the recent episodes affected the change. It was simply corrected from the wrong rating (15) to the right rating (13).

I don't know anything about the raikantopaini and its connection to PG ratings (I'm not familiar with Thai programs) but all I know is it is a disclaimer (trans: raikantopaini = "The following program"), which can be said for PG-13 and/or PG-18. It doesn't have an attachment to ONE PG. So no, people hearing raikantopaini wouldn't automatically know which rating, you'd have to understand the Thai words to know which age group the series is targeted. People's misunderstanding is partially due to MDL incorrectly profiling this series as PG-15.
Edit: Unless you meant to listen to the gender of the announcer since you mentioned specifically the gender of the announcer. The one in Tharntype was a guy. Since I don't watch enough of BL series intros to notice, I don't know if the gender of the announcer indicates the ratings. Maybe it does? I wouldn't know, the only 18+ BL I've seen is Tharntype. But with that being said, raikantopaini in general is just "the following program" so using that to indicate the ratings won't be of any use.

I agree. The acting, the execution, the story. All of it I think is average. But being able to enjoy the series despite knowing all its flaws is the charm of this series. Like no matter how much I think this series is average, I keep coming back to watch it because it's so easy to watch and feel good with.

I totally agree. The montage was so cute and pleasing, it drew a different kind of reaction from me compared to my reaction to a kiss scene. Like both are good but I’m more drawn to the things they did in the montage. I wish it was extended. Like that was the romantic things I wanted to see but here we are, watching it crammed in a montage lol

I agree, especially their little montage. When Tine was reaching for the food and Sarawat was blocking him with his whole body. It was totally BrightWin. I would like to see them more in another series as well, BL or not. I especially have high hopes for Win.

I already submitted an edit to change the content rating to 13+ but I think it takes 12-24 hours for the moderators/administrators to look at it. But hopefully, by tomorrow, the ratings would have changed.

Okay, so I think many people went into this series thinking it's rated 15+, which are teenagers to adults, so yeah, you'd expect some more intimate things here and there. But this series is actually rated 13+, which I think changes a lot about how a series represents themselves to the public. (15 years old to 18 years old, is only 3 years, but 13 years old to 18 years old, is 5 years, so yeah, that should affect the series quite a bit). MDL made a mistake when creating the profile. I don't know if knowing this info will change people's opinions but I think before anyone criticizes the lack of intimate scenes, please take the rating into consideration.

my thoughts exactly. when i was watching the ep and Mil said "i like you" I straight up jerked my head back because that was so random, then he sad "as a bro" and I'm like phew, that's more like it lol they need more build up before they get their happy ending.

also side note, glad mil didn't intentionally instigate the fight with Sarawat or intentionally hurt his knee. we have hope for you Mil.

Yep. The little disclaimer at the beginning of each episode always states "the following program is appropriate for those 13+, there can be images, audio, or situations that need careful viewing. Those under the age of 13 should be advised" it's never subbed in any of the episodes though, not surprising why people would not know

Gotta agree on the editing but the censorship is understandable. Not sure why it says 15+ on the content rating, but the series always has a disclaimer at the beginning of the show stating the series is appropriate for people 13+. Does that make a difference in censorship? lol idk. But I think it's appropriate for the minimum age group this series is targeted.
