It's the new gen. Chiba is more old gen. Comparing prime Chiba (in his 20s) to Goto right now, I'd say they're evenly matched.

same. i think the character and acting really contributed to his overall attractiveness for me.

i watched a little bit of kamen rider build too and yeah the difference lolol. i think he's improved his acting quite a bit since then.

Yeah i get what you mean. Really been enjoying the peaceful comment section lol. However, i do wanna add that I think this isnt as popular/famous cuz it's technically not international fan friendly? So i mainly watch thai bl, so ill speak only on that and ignore the other countries. although they may be low budget or whatever, they know how to promote their stuff to international fans by providing official English subtitles.

Furthermore, the fan subbers are also more actively providing content on youtube for fans to watch. Others like official Behind the scenes, interviews. Things actors do like fanservice (not a fan of this personally, but lots of bl fans tend to love these. It could be a cultural thing so, i wont count this against Japanese actors), attending tv shows as guests etc. This may not directly make them famous per se, but they're branching out to different media will also garner more people wondering who they are and which drama/series they came from.

As far as Cherry Magic goes promotional wise, i dont see a lot going around - at least, not readily available to international fans. If i didnt accidentally find a fanmade trailer esque video recommended in another bl i was watching on Youtube, id never have known this series existed unless i intentionally look for more bl to watch. Japan just didnt promote this well and i dont think they even care? Lol. Theres no way this will become famous if the country themselves dont even promote their show internationally. You know? Just my thoughts. I feel like for the minimal promotion it gave, it still did pretty well so the series is a winner for me.
Edit: well maybe for active BL watchers this series reached y'all easily so perhaps it doesnt matter if promotion was good or bad? But im thinking for some people like me who arent actively watching BL content, i would consider this not promoted well cuz i really had no clue this existed until that accidental encounter.

so i know im late to the game but seriously, after 3 weeks with this series, my brain finally registered that Akaso and Machida are good looking lmao like before i was just like, yeah they look okay. Look decent for the roles. now i'm like, hmmmm is you blind? no they actually LOOK GOOD, like really good.

Yeah..............it takes a while for me to register these things, unfortunately. New faces need to grow on me before I can recognize them as handsome.

I think I saw a couple comments weeks ago talking about their looks and literally didn't bat an eye cuz it didn't register yet. I get what yalls are saying now lol.

Shippers are so weird lol The moment they saw these boys get popular on 2gether, they should've been thinking this is the boys' chance to expand genres and become even more popular. Add onto their resume. Get more roles. Act in something that will get their names out there even more. But here shippers are, complaining that their ship is broken. That is so self serving. It's sad.

Side note. I can taste the morning miso soup in their kiss scene. Sorry for being nasty lol but that's the thought when I watch their kiss scenes.

Was that Adachi's wild imagination or his bad nightmare? lol Kurosawa and the girl were drinking wine and it looked like they were about to get intimate. I find that part hilarious because Kurosawa was not acting very Kurosawa-like. He looked so full of himself as he held that wine glass lol

same. i found myself skipping the romance parts.

The mole scene. That was hilarious. Also the scarf scene. I just find the gap between the once calm looking Kurosawa basically crumbling to pieces, a nice thing to see. Also when Fujisaki says she likes Adachi after all in the elevator, and he turns over going OMG forgot about dat. And Kurosawa looking over. He has no clue what's happening lol.

Lolololol hello my old friend tragedy, we meet again

Could also mean you like the role, not particularly the actor lol. I sometimes will enjoy an actor's role because the character was the selling point. But I wouldn't be able to get into their other roles because the character is different.

So i read the manga. Personally i am not a fan of the manga. I just feel it doesnt really have good pacing/flow. The story happens super quickly as well leaving little room to breathe between each thing happening. Adachi gets magic powers, boom next Adachi finds out Kurosawa likes him, and this happens within 1 chapter a couple panels apart. I really think the script writer did a great job writing the live action. Although things do still happen relatively quickly, similar to the manga, Adachi finds out Kurosawa's feelings in the same episode a few minutes apart. In the drama, it feels like theres more breathing moments due to good script writing. Also how some events were reporganized to happen before or after, different from the manga version, also helped create better pacing and flow. I also just appreciate how the drama was able to complement the manga by filling in parts that may feel lacking

I know manga vs real life is a far fetched comparison. Im not denouncing the manga as "bad", im just saying its not to my type of story telling in a manga. I understand if people disagree.
