Just completed the novel and damn. It's so good 😭😭 The angst is written really beautifully yet so painfully. Hoping that the drama wraps up the separation period quickly so that they can reunite faster!!

Ep12 at around 18:51. It was when Wan Qing and Jiang Mu had a little chat :)))

Here, you literally have me rewatching the whole drama from ep1 while I wait for the episodes to air because 24 hours is too long😭!!!! I hope they release an express package for the last 3 episodes because I don't think I can survive not having any episodes for 3-4 days. A wait from Monday to Friday is too long + it's the christmas season too😭😭😭

Also, I hope they make the angst part quick and easy to round up with, because we only have 11 episodes left. They can't go to waste!! I hope they make their Nanjing arc longer with more depth in comparison with the novel!

He had like one smoking scene (when he was hiding behind a wall and overheard the dirty mess that the Wan garage-thingy put him through), and that's it😭

I'm so pissed. They cut so many of the kiss scenes already. First, the one on the yacht, then they cut the one underneath the fireworks in ep 18.... freaking China's censorship..... at this point, if IQIYI wants to earn profit, they NEED to release all uncut scenes to international platforms, if China itself doesn't allow it..... It's really upsetting as someone who has witnessed the whole filming process since day one. We literally lost so much footage 😡 😡 😡 😡

Happy ending. Though, they only covered their Nanjing arc in the last 10-ish chapters, so I hope we can see more of it in the drama :))

It's 11pm and i got work tomorrow too 😭😭😭 I still have eps 13 & 14 to catch up on as well as 15+16 so I'll treat myself tomorrow night 🤭

Update: It seems we may not get any offline promotional schedules but there's apparently going to be a livestream with Heyu and Yu Shuxin (as well as other cast members I believe) tomorrow at 9pm China time. First the variety show, then the online livestream. I'm afraid we may only get to see subtle interactions via online resources. Praise the heavens that we get these two paired up again under another platform for another drama because IQIYI has done this drama dirty with the lack of promotions and unplanned airing date at the most random timeslot 😒

Seems like we may not get any offline promotional events 😪. I hope we do. It'd be such a pity not to, considering how this was probably the most anticipated modern cdrama this year after it finished filming in March/April. I want to see HY and YSX together😭!!!

I just wish there were more episodes - maybe 32. I just hope they don't squish the post-college life in because there's lots to unpack

As per the novel, I think it was after 4 years - after her graduation, she visited Caltech (California) where she meets a familiar acquaintance and then decides to return back to China

• She would later return to Nanjing, China for her work (as a scientist/astronomer).
• JM casually visits this coffee shop where the workers have a dog named Mendan, who seems to be fully attached to her. We later find out - yes, this is Lightning.
• The coffee shop owner is Jin Zhao - this is an important aspect because JM once talked to JZ about how they should open up a coffee shop by the mountain, so basically he opened up this shop because of her, maybe in hopes of meeting her again. She meets with him after 'accidentally' forgetting her fountain pen at the shop, to which JZ picked up and instantly knew that she'd been there. Jin Zhao has gone back to school get a degree.
• So Lightning had never been lost, Jin Zhao just didn't want to burden her before she goes abroad
• The air is cold between these two for a bit. JiangMu jokes/lies that she's getting married and has a partner which has Jin Zhao quite pressed and jealous.
• They both go hiking. This is when Jiang Mu discovers about his left leg - Jin Zhao is no longer as fast as he was in the past and Jiang Mu began to feel weary when she observed how he was supporting most of his body weight on his right leg, especially noticeable when climbing steps.

That's where I've read up so far :))) So I'm predicting that yes, though we'll have a bit of happiness soon, there will be quite a lot of angst scenes which will break you.
