also really liked what happened between Jinxiu emperor & princess FXY with the roses, and how Murong father entered the palace grounds carrying the thorny branches on his back with the empress watching him! Somehow the way these scenes were filmed was really interesting and I want to know more of what will happen next!

I'm finally understanding the emperor more and how he felt threatened by FSG's mom. Her strengths and values which drew him to her, he eventually came to despise. He really didn't love nor accept her in the end, very tragic. Just loved himself / loved power. Looks like he has some regrets though.
-In the interest of being filial, the actions of Murong son & Zhuang son were too short-sighted. Couldnt these 2 predict the consequences of their actions? like treason, death for themselves & their families?
-I wasn't that surprised the emperor was pretending to be in a coma lolol. Laughed so much when Dr. Ling said to FSG that his Dad was in a bad mood because of all the treachery being unloaded onto him, like from Zhuang prime minister, and the empress. Imagine, the emperor was completely aware when she was freaking out and forcing him to eat zongzi! Lol, the restraint...
-Feeling sorry for the princess FXY at this point. She fell head over heels and love knows no reason. Still wondering if there will be some kind of redemption arc for her, or will she succumb to the lecherous advances of the treacherous Jinxiu emperor because of her lonely & desperate feelings? Hopefully she'll wisen up & gain some dignity & self-respect.
-I can understand where both the emperor & FSG's Mom are coming from. There are certain rules that had to be followed, but at the same time, she wanted to protect her children and ensure their happiness, which she thought would be impossible if they were raised in the imperial court.
-The way the emperor treated his son though was terrible. I agree with others - there are better ways to raise a crown prince. Why go through all that pretense, manipulation & toxicity?
-Final scenes in ep 24 were really good!Acting skills of FSG & the emperor were great!
-Love the MC! FYX is such a badass! Love her! FSG is also amazing & lucky to have FYX in his life. Their path as a couple is similar to his parents', hopefully theirs will be a HE.
-Recurring theme among the villains is hypocrisy, which to the MC is disgusting & unforgivable!
Whoa, ep 19 & 20 so good in setting up the next part of the story! Such a thrill to watch our MC support each other, defend their loved ones, and discover clues leading to the culprits! I am such a fanatic over this drama now lol.
Now I'm thinking that FSG's Mom has indeed passed away from what Dr Ling was saying at the end of 20 :( Thougtt there's a chance she's still alive, leading the Storm Alliance.

Just want to add that I also dislike the princess character. She is too naive, selfish and oblivious, likely because of her upbringing, but she really needs to wake up! I'm looking forward to how her character evolves now that she is in Jinxiu. Will there be any kind of redemption arc for her?
As for XJS, he is irredeemable 😡. I didn't expect he was behind the death camps.
Last point: I thought it was interesting that prime minister Zhuang knew early on about the engagement proposed by the Jinxiu emperor between XJS & the princess. Wondering who is the mastermind behind this marriage idea & how would the Zhuang family benefit? It seems like the Susha emperor didn't know either???
