I knew that land was going to make a comeback! Xia Ming never stops manipulating and using people and I don't want Su Xiao to keep worrying about protecting him any more. She has done everything she can and now he should face the consequences for his actions. It's clear he's been plotting this for a long time and he doesn't really care who gets run down in the process.
Hong Mei continues to disappoint me but I don't see that changing this close to the end. Can't believe she just gossips about confidential business just cos someone praised her a little. It's funny to me that her bf calls Su Xiao materialistic when Hong Mei cares more about that than Su Xiao ever did. Still hoping these glances with the president don't lead to anything cos that would be so disturbing for me.
I'm eager to see if Su Xiao will expose Xia Ming's schemes to the president or if she'll be influenced by her relationship with him. Personally, I just want her to do her job and not get involved with him or his crusty uncle any more. They don't deserve her support.
I'm really upset with Hong Mei after ep 35. I get that she's timid or whatever but this kind of behaviour will get Su Xiao in trouble cos Hong Mei can't learn to stand up for herself. She lets everyone walk all over her and that's going to become Su Xiao's problem now.
Also found the thing with Hong Mei tying the president's shoe laces weird. Why was he looking at her like that? No, pls. I don't like her boyfriend but I'm not interested in any entanglements with the president.
I'm sad Xu Feng quit cos I wanted him on the reform team but I'm sure it's better for him to leave and be happy somewhere else.
Looking forward to the next episode. I hope Hong Mei can finally grow a spine cos I would hate to see Su Xiao pulled down because of her friend.
This is really, really good, but also so bloody depressing. I don't know if I'll have the heart to rewatch it but I'm so glad I saw it now. Jung Hae In and Koo Kyo Hwan were brilliant. I will never forget these performances.
I've never been this excited about a presentation at a board meeting in a drama before ๐ I'm so happy that Su Xiao silenced all the naysayers with her brilliance. Also excited to see her working with Hong Mei and the redemption of Xu Feng.
At this point I'm not even interested in the romance so Xia Ming can let himself be auctioned off for his uncle's interests for all I care. If Su Xiao chooses to forgive him at some point, I guess that'll be alright too ๐
Epi 34: OMG I LOVE THIS SERIES!!!!! It is freaking fantastic! It is still gaining momentum. I screamed when I…
I was screaming when the president asked a simple question and that dude was there like a fish with his mouth open and nothing coming out ๐ I love that her skill is undeniable and I could see how proud the president was of her performance. She did exactly what he imagined and now she just has to make it happen for real. Maria really annoys me cos it's obvious that what Lin said is true, she came into the company with passion and allowed the bureaucracy to put out that fire, so now she resents someone like Su Xiao doing what she couldn't do. I want her to realize that Su Xiao is the future of the company and get on board ๐
This is rare show where people dont root for the couple. Xia Ming is thinking because he is her boyfriend, she…
Totally agree! The whole time things were unfolding with Xia Ming I was thinking it was the same situation she went through with her ex. Someone seeking an advantage and quickly throwing her under a bus to get it. The fact that Xia Ming couldn't even cut ties with a woman who he knows is waiting for him was also extremely telling. I'm glad she really thought it through and decided it wouldn't work with him. I admire her conviction. I think the president is similar and he's hoping that she won't be broken by the system but would rather change it for the better, and that is my hope too.
I'm so glad Su Xiao ended things with Xia Ming. She's been used enough and that shouldn't be something she has to deal with in a relationship. I hope she can find a way to deal with her work problems cos I am super frustrated on her behalf. When that asshat kept pushing the debt collection to her after taking her position AND her office, I wanted to jump through my phone and fight. Her boss is completely useless and it's clear no one in the company wants anything to change when their current way of working is not sustainable. The president is staring down an abyss and he's desperate to avoid losing the company but nobody else knows that so they're caught up in their silly office politics.
I'm really enjoying this show and I just want Su Xiao to succeed. I don't even care if she goes to a different company.
I was actually really satisfied with the end. I didn't know how it would end until the last episode and I enjoyed it a lot. Excellent performances. I especially loved Jung Sun Ah cos she was deliciously evil and did everything on her own terms even in the end.
I cannot say I blame Ga On for putting a stop to the public execution but I wonder if he could've done it some other way. There is no excuse for Yo Han co-opting the people in this scheme for public murder but we know he's as crazy as they come (and he's definitely not the hero in this situation). I wonder how all this will end now.
I'm still irritated with the old judge cos he keeps trying to paint everything as a scheme of Kang Yo Han. How could he have planned to murder Soo Hyun when she wasn't even supposed to be there? I'm sure Yo Han is hiding something but that man keeps pretending the people in power aren't the ones to blame for the current situation so he's part of the problem.
Ep 22 is really heart breakingWoah ... didn't see that coming. Xiao Yu boyfriend is too much. He ought to be shot…
I was screaming for Xiao Yu to get out of the taxi as soon as she noticed him losing focus the first time. She really doesn't deserve this new tragedy.
I want to be angry at Peng Paiโs daughter but then again I canโt. I understand at that age you think everything…
I'm not even mad at her, she just has terrible parents and her behaviour is because of them. Between her mother not being able to separate her daughter's life from her divorce/ex-husband and the complete waste of space that is Peng Pai, the poor girl has been through enough. Although it did feel like she cursed Xiao Yu considering the way things unfolded after she left.
I have to say, I'm not a fan of all this trauma Xiao Yu is going through with only a handful of episodes to go. Peng Pai has been dirt to me since we found out he lied about being divorced for their entire relationship, but ep 22 solidified his position as absolute garbage. Not for being hesitant about having another child, but for trying to make Xiao Yu think her reaction to his ridiculous proposition was "childish", and then for trying to say it was her fault that she got into that accident. I hope someone runs him over cos he deserves it. I hope Xiao Yu can recover from this and find happiness again.
I'm still waiting for Feng Xi and her chef to realize they've already fallen for each other but it's cute watching them figure it out lol.
Even though she only appeared briefly in this episode, Shan Shan still stole my heart. I'm completely smitten with that character and I always want more of her.
This kind of let me down by the end but I don't regret watching it. I really loved discovering ZDY through this drama. She was perfect as Shanggu for me. I also felt so sorry for Yuanqi in the end cos his parents just kept dumping him with other people like some unwanted burden. I truly don't understand why they even bothered with the plot of them having a child when they were going to have ML and FL ignore him for most of his existence.
Also have to say this drama washed the bad taste of Liu Xue Yi as Hao Chen in LAR from my heart cos I was in love with Tian Qi by the second half of the show and he only got better. I will be salty forever that Yuemi died and never got the reincarnation treatment cos of all of them, she deserved it the most. She deserved to be happy and to be loved the way she loved everyone around her. That statue should've been the key to her return but I guess the ancient god just hates us.
All in all, I'm glad I stuck it through and watched this even if I wanted to wring Bai Jue's neck most of the time. Here's hoping he stops making decisions for Shanggu in the future and they actually raise their child (and live happily ever after, of course)
I literally burst out laughing for a full minute (I had to pause) when the Dr came rushing into the courtroom to clear Kang Yo Han's name. I can't believe they thought it would be that easy to get rid of him when this man has been quietly plotting this for at least a cool decade. I'm here for the all out war between Yo Han and the Foundation. There will be so much scorched earth left behind, I wonder who will survive.
I felt bad for Elijah cos she obviously wants real friends but now she may be going back to believing that everyone wants to use her for one thing or another, and that's sad. Ga On really messed up there, and honestly he should never have taken her out of the house without Yo Han's knowledge.
I also find myself wondering about the chief justice who got Ga On involved in all this. I suspect everyone's motives now cos they keep telling us that people are never purely good so I wonder what revelations will come out about him as well. Plus, what he said to Yo Han in that meeting was almost exactly what the minister said so that got my antenna up.
I don't really like Dai Xiao Yu but I loved every second of her telling off Feng Xi for her stupidity. Imagine nearly ruining their fledgling business because of her rat of a bf. Yikes. She should be thankful that he ended that toxic relationship but I guess she won't appreciate her luck for a while.
I really don't understand why Hye Ryung insists on staying married. She's lost all interest in her cheating husband now and they only make each other miserable. It's such a waste of energy, even if she's doing it to stop him from being with his mistress. I just need her to free herself (and her shitty husband) of this toxic relationship.
It took me a minute to figure out that Pi Young wasn't imagining things this episode, and I couldn't stop laughing when that old witch finally heard that her golden boy was actually cheating. I just want the old woman and the mistress to fight cos that would be so entertaining.
I wasn't surprised at the reveal at the end of so 14 cos Seo Hyun is the family's fixer so of course she knows…
Oh, and can we all agree that that sus nun is lying? Cos the facts are starting to paint the real picture and nothing she claimed to have seen fits the narrative (except dead Ji Yong). How could Hee Soo have been at the top of the stairs AND also knocked out on the floor? Unless like someone said, Seo Hyun was the one on the floor and she lied at the hospital (but the show already revealed that Hee Soo was passed out next to Ji Yong)! So many possibilities!

Great piece! I'm really excited for D.P. It looks like it'll be a good time. Didn't get bingo but that's just me slacking. Gotta do better lol
