The police, when Kwak Su-Chang died: Must've been the windThe police, when Han Ji Yong died: OMG There's a brutal…
They are so dedicated to finding HJY's killer when they had to be dragged kicking and screaming to even investigate KSC's case. This is why I'm rooting for whoever killed Ji Yong to get away. F the police.
I wasn't surprised at the reveal at the end of so 14 cos Seo Hyun is the family's fixer so of course she knows what went down. Plus the whole time I kept saying, did they forget Hee Soo is an actress??????? I'm very excited to see how this gets wrapped up cos those women.... Oh THOSE WOMEN. I LOVE THEM. I wonder if the detective will actually find out what really happened and if anyone will have to pay the price for killing Ji Yong.
On Ji Yong though, I know he was a total piece of garbage but he was a product of his environment. His parents treated him as less than human so of course he turned into a monster. By the time Hee Soo came into the picture, he was damaged beyond repair. Truly the only good thing he did was making it so that she could be Ha Joon's mother.
Can't believe when this show started I was barely paying attention and now I'm sad that it's almost over. Do we think Ji Yong tried to kill Hee Soo and ended up dead or was it all part of the plan? I'm not sold on the amnesia cos it's way too convenient and she can't really spin her reaction to Ha Joon almost getting hit by that truck (as an aside, does that kid have a death wish or what????). Also, I cannot put into words how glad I was that I didn't have to sit through more of the grandson and the maid in the last 2 episodes. They were exactly where they should be, in the background as part of the scenery.
This was a joy to watch. I especially loved the relationships between all the lead characters. They were all very smart and capable which I enjoyed. Also really liked the mystery and the political intrigue. Glad I watched it and totally recommend.
My favourite thing is Kang Han Na's character constantly misusing phrases and not knowing what words mean lol. I'm looking forward to her being chaotic in school!
I think this drama is really underrated. It's such a lovely story and I loved all of it, even the silly tropes. My favourite things were the best friends and the Jiang Xiao Ning's smile. Totally recommend.
It's so creepy how Ji Yong keeps saying Hee Soo shouldn't be troubled because she's carrying his child and not because he loves her or cares about her at all.
After ep 6 I would love for Hee Soo and Seo Hyun to leave this family altogether. Seo Hyun can reunite with her girlfriend and Hee Soo can go raise her children far away from this dysfunctional lot. I know, I know, it's unrealistic but I can dream, right?
I think Hee Soo knew the truth even if she was in denial and I'm glad Seo Hyun told her eventually. Also, why does it feel like that reverend sister is manipulating all of them?
Baek Eun Hye is so good. I can't believe that she got me right in the feels playing a character with no lines most of the time. The fact that I can see the pain of Ji Ah's mother's ghost just from her face is amazing. The scenes with Ji Ah and her mother in episode 12 are so heartwrenching. BEH and Jang Na Ra were amazing.
Does hoo joon like in hyung? I saw in the preview that maybe he was jealous that JJ gave GY flowers ?
In Hyung is his ex girlfriend so there are some feelings there, and I think he just opposes everything JJ does cos JJ is always trying to defeat him at any cost so he's not happy to see him hanging around GY
I may not like the Female Lead, but she really needs a manager. The director of the show is an a**h*** and she needs to be protected. They presented him as quirky but he knew exactly what would happen when he edited the show for a sensational response without any care for what could happen to Geun Young, and all he cares about is capitalising on her humiliation and pain. I think ep 7 was the first time I didn't absolutely hate her and I hope I can eventually like her.
I don't like that we're getting so much backstory and development for Hoo Joon while Geun Young is still just the same after 7 episodes. I was hoping we could get more about her rather than the surface level nonsense we're being fed. When she said she started this so she had to see it through to the end in ep7, I found myself asking, what end? What exactly is her goal now? Is she just going to sit in the apartment and write about how Hoo Joon might be gay or mean or whatever? Is she attempting to do any investigating? Is she learning anything at all from this experience? She doesn't appear to be gaining anything other than a bathtub to sleep in (which, again, WHY can't she get paid and move to her own place?????) and she's certainly not shown any kind of growth. I hoped we'd get a glimmer when Geun Young and Hoo Joon were talking about abandonment but that hope was swiftly murdered.
Also, I really need JJ to get a life. Torturing his girlfriend and himself over Hoo Joon who is literally just trying to live his life is an immensely stupid way to spend their time and I wish In Hyung would get some resolve and make a decision about her life that isn't based on these men. I have to agree with a comment I read that said the women are very poorly presented in the show cos we're getting to the halfway mark and still, no growth, no insight, no anything about the female leads. It's very frustrating,
This was actually a lovely assortment of stories. If I had to rank from favourite to least favourite, I'd say 29 (for the romance), 42 (for the heartbreaking realism), and a split between 35 & 23 (for the absurdity).
I found each story quite interesting in its own way and the thing I liked least was probably Jun Ji Sung but that's probably cos she was an unlikeable character. Absolutely recommend all the stories.
Hwa Jung could stop Ji Ah from risking her life recklessly if she just stopped lying to her and trying to manipulate her. I get that she cares about her, but Ji Ah is literally ready to do anything just to find out what happened now which will lead to greater chances of her being harmed. I don't know what Hwa Jung is hiding but I'm tired of her deceitful a**.
That poor girl? Lol she coulda told him NO within the first five minutes of meeting him. It's not like he would…
She's in a much more tricky position because she's new and she's an employee. She had no way of knowing what would happen if she refused him, and as the person in the position of power it's up to him to put a stop to it. She could say no, sure, but that could lead to him making her lose her job because she made him unhappy. Employers should be more conscious of crossing the line. I even had the same problem with the actress inviting the tutor to drink and talking to her like they're friends.
It seems to me that the tutor and the illegitimate son are going to drive the actress mad cos the gaslighting has already started. If the tutor isn't the one who's dead I will be very disappointed cos I really don't like her.
I don't care at all for the story of the young maid and the grandson. He's incredibly inconsiderate but we're supposed to feel sorry for him because his mother left and he has trouble sleeping? That poor girl is hanging onto this job for dear life and he only cares about his needs which may end up costing her this job.
Finally, I cannot stand the mother and daughter plate-destroying duo. They are so annoying and the constant screaming is more than I can take.
