Future success and appreciation of the beauty in the ordinary

The garden is the perfect place for cementing their relationship and moving forward. We did not get to see the actual wedding, but we did get to see the ring and the happy couple in wedding attire and settling in their home. They are indeed the power couple and each very successful in innovating technology. She succeeds to the Mideast desert and he has a successful trial with helping paralyzed patients with brain interactive technology. Both are very involved with their projects and setting trends in power and medicine. YuSen is the cute dad picking his daughter up at school and bargaining for her to eat dinner. At the airport it is a cute scene with Auntie Jie and little princess is showing herself a capable negotiator.šŸ¤£šŸ˜‚ She is very adept at playing one parent against the other and XiGuang escapes to the bathroom and makes YuSen be parental mediator for candy privileges.šŸ˜‚šŸ¤£ Parents finally get some couple time and at breakfast little princess is already negotiating breakfast choices. She is already showing how bright she is and they are an adorable family unit. At the airport there is a scene with Xu, Chris and Wingman. We get a bit of their news and as usual Wingman is master of stating the obvious. Chris has moved on but still remains friends with these two, again showing what a good person she is. Xu realizes that even tho he owes XiGuang an apology, his absence is the best one. He sees the life he could have had with her had he been a kinder and more direct person in college. There is hope for him because he no longer has that the world owes me attitude that has been his benchmark behavior for too many years. There is a ten year leap and we see the results of their handiwork in the medicine and energy fields. I am disappointed we did not get to see who Gpa chose to take over the company. We did get a glimpse of the busy gma that travels the world and happy with her life. We also know the great grandparents are a favorite because little princess wants eggs cooked the same way great gma does.😁 I love how they remember each others’ words and dreams and appreciate the efforts to accomplish them. ā¤ļøThe end shows our power couple’s satisfaction in jobs well done but continues to show them loving the beauty of the ordinary. Success doesn’t sum up their happiness. They want the full meal deal of enjoying life in its entirety and appreciating it all. This is an excellent watch if you enjoy true romance and overcoming family disagreements and biases. It leaves you with a smile and warm heart at how beautiful life is and how the little things brighten life and make it worthwhile even more than simply being successful.

took me ages to finish this ep cause i had a bad feeling this would go down the toxic trope, where being blind drunk or drugged doesn't make any difference, if u act like u want it, it might as well be u giving ur consent. which it isn't(!) an would expect a sophisticated AI robot to have more control over himself, let alone over the person he is serving & do the right thing. but this a BL, so everything goes??? really hate this toxic behavior that is only ok in BL's. *****************************************************now am hoping Zhen Qun faired better with Jia Qian a human... who has a crush on him, so idk - but this was disappointing to me. i don't care how hot they r, or what great chemistry they got. when one is inebriated, he can't agree to anything - so what took place between the mains was nonconsensual, end off. *************************************************************************also how good of friends r Bu Shi & Zhen Qun he didn't even wonder to ask about him?!?? weird

Enjoying successful ventures and future plans

We finally get to see the family meal. Everyone is enjoying the success of their hard work and auntie can’t wait to spill the tea of apartment shopping . XiGuan’s mom got a bit of surprise with that, but I don’t think she was displeased at the notion. Lin made it clear he wasn’t rushing her into marriage but providing a happy medium for commuting. I like that her mom was concerned about the commute time and loved YuSen’s response.ā¤ļø Jiang Rui has the right idea to write down all these wonderful responses for future use.šŸ¤£šŸ˜‚ YuSen is a bit nervous at a meeting with Gpa and XiGuang tentatively toasts to being with him. She so bailed out on him.šŸ˜ Nie has officially put his villa on the market and parasite family told it’s time to move out. Nie’s lie of his terminally ill friend. ā€˜She’ is the terminal illness. She bleeds her host dry and finds another. šŸ˜ I actually applauded when the daughter stuck up for herself and told her mom how selfish she was to her face. She is recognizing her self worth and sees what a mess her mom has made of her life and reputation and does not want to follow suit. The gf is a piece of work and trashes the first buyer’s interest in the property. The aide did well controlling his temper but put her on notice that she could leave with the stuff she currently had, or without it if she wanted to continue her machinations. Nie is going through rehab and it’s been a process. He is self reflecting and while he may always be an arrogant ass, maybe at some point he can be tolerable to his real family.šŸ˜Lin’s chat with Gpa covered a lot of turf. His grandfather notes Lin’s serious relationship with XiGuang by his plans for her and the company. He basically told Gpa he would take it under advisement when he was warned he would lose his competitive position with her in future if he followed through with his plan. Gpa gently chided him about dealing outside the family with the project and was surprised at Lin’s response. Had his cousin ever approached him on the matter, he would have helped him as well. He did, however, admit it would be grudgingly for the cashšŸ˜‚šŸ¤£ Everybody is happily watching their product arrive and cheering as stocks rise in value. It is truly a valid mark of the upswing of the market and things look bright for the company’s future. There is a company name change and Gpa and XiGuang’s mom unveil it. These two families are seeing how they will be combined in the future. Hopefully Gpa will learn from past mistakes and take better care of all of his family. At the end of the discussion Gpa was surprised at Lin’s choice for taking over the company. As expected from Lin, it was the road less traveled but the correct course. I’m sure Gpa will be paying better attention and consider some well given advice. There is a scene with SiLiang and Rong where Rong says goodbye. She is leaving the area for a new job and recognizes that she needs a change of scenery. She isn’t going to say anything to Xu because their goodbye was long ago. She did finally note the truth in his words to her about XiGuang. She will always feel overshadowed by her and admits her goal in college was to find her faults. With XiGuang out of her periphery, she will hopefully work with an untainted view and less bias. She will stand a chance of finding her true potential. I am a bit irked her bride friend called to lament Rong leaving. But it does prove they are really friends. XiGuang admits she won’t be sorry at the loss but does assure her friend Rong will do well no matter where she is. At the office, XiGuang makes excuses to YuSen for not being there for Gpa visit, she was correct that they covered more ground just the two of them. He gives her a bit of a hard time but is surprised at the garden project. XiGuang has him unveil the name and he is overwhelmed at her name change. There is another beautiful hug of appreciation as she says she wants to always have a piece of him at work. The garden is beautiful, the greenhouse innovative, and it’s a very romantic spot for them to just enjoy the ambiance. This is a perfect setting to leave them in.ā¤ļø

Happy ending <3

In this last episode of Shine On Me, we get to see the happy ending between the main leads, Lin Yusen and Nie Xiguang. I'm so happy that we had a full episode of only them and their future together. Throughout this whole series, I really enjoy their relationship and how green flags both of them are. I really hope to see more dramas like this!!!

Moments of tender healing, future plans, and fathers’ reflections

While it was a cute aside with XiGuang and YuSen discussing the configurations of a bedsheet, I am sad we did not get to see that comforting family meal with the young couple embraced in the shelter of a loving mom. Nie is actually apologizing to his family. It is long overdue and XiGuang wants to accept it but is not yet ready to. YuSen shares his experience with his grandfather and how he chose to handle it. The maturity of a fifteen year old boy to determine not to cause his family to ever suffer emotional distress because of family differences. To put his feelings of angst aside to show love and support to those he loved no matter what. XiGuang returns that vow to him. It is a very tender moment of understanding , acceptance and enduring love.ā¤ļø I had to grin at her being corrected that his fifteen year old self was over six foot tall.šŸ˜‚ XiGuang is visiting her dad in the hospital and his aide is giving him business updates. She does her best to recuse herself but dad chooses to explain his reasoning. He even admitted to the effort to bid rig and she made it plain she understood what it meant. He is proud of her knowledge and takes credit and she gives it all to her mom. He is so shortsighted in developing markets. He doesn’t even consider uncle’s possibility of contract because they lack the clout and expertise to get the job done. YuSen’s cousin is so sure he has wrapped things up. He has that double flex with his jacket lapel and thinks he is a sure win.šŸ˜ So while auntie and uncle are making their bid, YuSen takes XiGuang house shopping. He is so meticulous in his location choice. I chuckled when he turned it over to the seller to charm his gf into the purchase.šŸ¤£šŸ˜‚ Here I wish we could have walked with them through the three different options and see her reactions to his choices. They return to the company to find his cousin seething while exiting. He’s gonna run and tell Gpa how Lin sabotaged the business. Loved how YuSen calmly took the news. Thanking him for letting him know they won and for going right to the chairman. This showed his excellent growth in the company.šŸ˜‚šŸ¤£ Rong is there to see the difference in her man choices to XiGuang’s. 😁 Our team comes out doing a muted happy dance that they were successful. This is cause for celebration.🄳 The look on auntie’s face when they say they were house huntingšŸ˜‚šŸ¤£ Gpa gets the news about who won the bid and why. He is so proud of one grandson and so disappointed in the other. The way his son came in like a peeved child is a direct reflection of how he was raised and Gpa reflects on this. Way too late did he recognize what a rare gem his son in law was. He was the one in ten thousand that would make the world a better place with his ideas. He regrets that he tossed this gem away like trash and knows it cannot be undone. I am waiting to see how this plays out with his daughter and the future. Nie has also been in deep reflection mode. In his heart he knows which family loved him best. He still refuses to see that his ego and lack of business acumen compared to his wife caused him to toss them aside like trash. He still doesn’t see that the women in his real family are the shining stars and makers of bright futures. He sees himself as the origin of XiGuang’s success and he couldn’t be further wrong. He has, however, given her an itemized what not to do list both personally and professionally. When and if he recognizes that as his current role in her life will be the point he might be rescued from himself. I do hope they show us the Qian parasites getting tossed out of the villa. He actually congratulates XiGuang and keeps it short and simple. This episode is seeing bright futures emerge after a very long period of being overlooked, undervalued, and unappreciated. This episode brings hope and family unity with all the right people. It also was a cautionary tale of legacy makers falling short because of arrogance and shortsightedness.

Hard truths

My ears are still ringing from Nie’s gf’s shrill rant. The Qian family elder is the worst of the lot. He has personally created a family of parasites that has no personal worth at all. They consume the host and move on to the next. I have no words for how disgusting this lot is.Nie has been rushed to the hospital after collapsing from the stress. He has a tumor embedded in ear and facial muscles so a top neurosurgeon needs to remove it. Lin has been very helpful with the local doctors and to the centimeter had the diagnosis for Nie, but Nie is too busy putting down Lin and the local hospital to consider the advice. The Qian family feel better because their Nie ATM took care of the debts. Love the irony of the gf getting scammed. She is faltering because her host is drying up and her parasitic self is feeling hunger pains. She hurls the blame at her daughter. The daughter might become human if she distances herself from her family. She almost has a conscience . The Qian top priority—reporting to get the money. Their concern for Nie in the hospital…..well we already know how much sympathy this group provides when somebody is in the hospital.šŸ˜Nie’s family have been watching over him putting their differences aside to be sure he is looked after and has all info on his condition. They have followed his lead and moved him to his fancy hospital and personal medical team. While he is pouring over neurosurgeons he finds out about Lin but still doesn’t believe it. He has a top German neurosurgeon flying in and learning that face paralysis and loss of hearing depends on the expertise of the surgeon when removing the tumor. Here Lin’s story finally comes to light. He gets all the details his other ā€˜daughter’ didn’t share with him and recalling his relief when he chatted with his Sheng buddy about the ā€˜wreckless’ nephew. He never bothered to check up on any of it. After Nie blamed her for filing the police report about the scamming, she comes out with both barrels blazing to point at the true guilty parties. Lin and her mom enter the room to hear her telling Lin’s story and his career loss and shouldering the blame his fake daughter cast her way. She asked if he really ever loved her and was he deceiving her or himself? She laid the cards on the table candidly blasting the defamation she’s been enduring because of his faux family without complaint because she didn’t want to upset her mom. Lin was doing the same with his family about losing career. He didn’t want his mom to think anything other than a simple car accident. XiGuang’s mom had decided to pay a visit to not be heartless towards him. After hearing everything, she sincerely apologized to YuSen and told Nie she should have remained heartless. She also made it clear this matter would be revisited once his health situation was taken care of. Gma is stunned at her son’s blaming them and sets him straight about his Qian family ties. She lets him know that his Qian family can take care of him and washed her hands of him. This is such a gut wrenching episode as XiGuang’s family hears in vivid detail why Lin lost his career and how that impacted XiGuang at the workplace initially. The mom looks at these two with sadness and admiration. The quality of their characters that neither ran to family complaining, but worked it out for themselves. She is taking them home to get some much needed rest and comforting. Nie is left alone in hospital to reflect on his choices. He at least is cutting off the parasites, but he waited till he was a shell of the person he could have been. That he still has so much pride to be angry rather than begging their forgiveness, just shows his degree of character. I am glad XiGuang and YuSen will be surrounded by a mother’s love and can finally address all these things they have carried personally to not trouble their moms with. This is filial piety at its best. ā¤ļø

i get that Ever 4 is only Bu Shi's caretaker, but he just abandoned Zhen Qun like he was nothing (guess it's so Jia Qian will come rescue him) but that was hilarious. what i don't get is who r the people that drugged them. the party was held in a house of one their friends. it wasn't in a club or a hotel - so random that trafficker's can just waltz into a private residence & then take out their drugged victims, with no one to stop them.

Six episodes in — everyone’s suspicious and nothing is clear

Episode 6 leaves me genuinely unsure of who the murderer could be — at this point, everyone feels like a suspect. We learn that Ra-ik’s mother and Kang Woo-seong signed a contract behind Ra-ik’s back, which only reinforces how little control he’s ever had over his own life. There’s also something increasingly cagey about the CEO that’s becoming harder to ignore. We also get more insight into Maeng Se-na’s past, particularly the regret she carries about the last time she saw her father. These quieter moments help ground her character and add emotional depth amid the growing tension.Things come to a head when Ra-ik discovers Se-na’s fan merchandise, making it impossible to ignore that she’s his fan. Whether this reveal was intentional or accidental remains unclear, but it undeniably shifts the dynamic between them. As for Park Chung Jae, the drama hasn’t confirmed anything, but personally, his behaviour reads as deeply protective — perhaps even driven by unspoken feelings — which adds another layer of uncertainty rather than clarity.Six episodes in, the pacing is starting to feel slow. I understand the need to peel back the layers carefully, but I’m still left asking the same questions: why was Kang Woo-seong murdered, who did it, and why is the romance between Ra-ik and Maeng Se-na moving at such a cautious pace?Right now, it feels like the drama is deliberately withholding answers while tightening control around Ra-ik — which makes me think the truth will ultimately be about ownership and power rather than passion.
