"I apologize for what I did"

This episode was better and more exciting. All the little touches Joker made in Jack's house were like he was saying "I'm sorry" to Jack. I got emotional as I watched those scenes. Jack has had a lot of difficulties since his childhood, I hope he pays his debt to his boss and gains his freedom. I was jumping with joy as I watched the scenes of Jack and Joker getting closer in every episode 😻 The Hope and Save scene surprised me. I hope Jack and Joker will be together in the next episode 😭😭😭😭

This episode keeps the tension high with nonstop power struggles, betrayals, and narrow escapes. What hits emotionally is the intimate moments. The tenderness and vulnerability amidst all the danger really ground the story.

This episode really ramps up the drama and mystery, mixing intense family politics with emotional moments between Jae-i, Hong-rang, and Mu-jin. The Java sparrows symbolize their complicated relationships perfectly. also gets darker with the reveal of toxic powders and brutal fights. The big emotional payoff is Jae-i finally confessing her feelings.

Four Stars

This episode dives deeper into the complicated relationships and secrets surrounding Jae-yi, Mu-jin, and Hong-rang. It’s full of tense moments and emotional twists. It also adds layers to the mystery, especially with the flashbacks about Fake Hong-rang and the Snow Man, tying in dark pasts and dangerous secrets. Overall, this episode balances political intrigue, family drama, and slow-building romance beautifully. It’s emotional, suspenseful, and leaves you wondering what will happen next

This episode is stuffed, like a dumpling of…

This episode is stuffed, like a dumpling of political chess, emotional betrayal, and murder plots. There’s no room to breathe. It perfectly captures the emotional chaos of love and identity clashing with politics and vengeance. Hong-rang is torn between two women: one who made him a weapon, and one who might be the key to his lost humanity.

This episode hits the gas on politics, secrets,…

This episode hits the gas on politics, secrets, and emotional damage, all while tightening the noose around every character’s throat. No one is good, no one is honest, and every decision is haunted by the past. Childhood dreams are clashing with adult agendas, and every reunion feels like a loaded weapon.

I did not see that comin'

This episode really nails the uneasy balance between psychological tension, family trauma, and a growing mystery with horror undercurrents. It’s no longer about “Is he the real Hong-rang?” but “Why is he here, and what is he planning?”

The episode balances action and emotion well. We also get more insight into the twisted family dynamics and the creeping doubt about whether this “Hong-rang” is who he says he is, continues.

Solid start

The vibes are heavy and intense, but in a good way. Everyone’s got secrets, the power plays are ruthless, and the emotional stakes are high. Jae-i’s still holding onto childhood memories, while her family is falling apart around her, especially her drug-addicted mother and her cold, calculating father. The episode drops enough clues to keep you guessing, especially about whether this man is actually Hong-rang or just another pawn in a bigger game. It’s moody, dramatic, and full of tension - a perfect setup for slow-burn mysteries with layered characters and a touch of the supernatural. Solid start.

One woman is enough

Qiao Man is still staying in his room and he is taking the side chamber so lovingly made ready by his lady friend and mother. He definitely felt all the love in that room.🤣 All the men want him to get a concubine and start making an heir. He made it clear MANY times that he and wife loved each other and no concubine needed. He said this a second time when they thought it fake formality but would be more truthful in men lounging room. He assured them that he still only wanted one wife and even invited her in room. This was something expressly forbidden prior with him promising severe punishment to anyone bringing a woman to that room. Maid and Qiao Man find out his favorite foods and she has dinner set up to greet him when work was done. She also had the three gossipy servants make the room ready for him so it was actually somewhat comfortable. When he sees the efforts she’s making he decides to have her visit grandma. Now those two walking is hilarious. She has to run 20 steps to keep up with three of his.😂 He lets her walk first and gives her a big lead. When she can’t see him he runs to keep up🤣 I am really enjoying the blossoming romance between these two. They are very cute and should have a long marriage if they don’t kill each other.😂 I am wincing for her. I hope the gma can be in her corner. She needs some support from somewhere in that house that is female. The advisor is helping as much as he can, but she really needs a lady insider that can give her the lay of the land. And that gal with the crush on him really needs to go.😝

Teamwork with Joker and Joker's fans

I also fell in love with the female version of Joker. I love War,he has a different aura, a beautiful face and a sweet voice 😻 The scene where Jack put the ring on Joker brought a smile to my face. Also, the fight scenes between Jack and Joker were good. I hope Jack gets rid of this boss and becomes free 😭😭😭😭

Deceit from friends and family

I do not know how Wei Shao managed to treat Qiao Man with such respect and so horridly at same time. He showed her respect that she was worth hunting a lynx, but then for the wedding ceremony he makes no effort to taste meal and pours the ceremonial couples toast out before memorial. His army and family lament her grandfather died rather than getting executed. He takes his new bride home to park her outside the gate. Considering the treachery from her family, this was something that should have been done tho kinder arrangements could have been made for her. At the ceremony he gets to question an uncle about not helping in Xindu who swears up and down he received no letter. Then he left an old friend in charge of bringing his wife in when ceremony complete. Not only did she fail to do that, her mother had a fake letter of divorce written up and henchmen to send off Qiao Man’s carriage. She is inside burning up with fever and her maid was most valiant pleading for her and trying to fight off the men. Wei Shao’s men were most reluctant to assist but did finally send a messenger to check on validity of events happening. Wei Shao saves the day to get her but then is carrying her back so they both are going to be drenched and ill.😝 He is not seeming so heroic to me at this time because no matter how much his friends betrayed him….he had a wife he was responsible for and he failed. She had proved repeatedly that she was trying to advance his goals and he treated her worse than a servant. While it was inadvertently done, he can’t be pointing fingers too much at how evil the Qiaos are right now😝 I think he successfully sunk to their level in lack of support.
