Qi recommends himself as the best one to tell Wu’s story. We now know why Wu was so disillusioned and bitter towards Zhang. Wu tried to visit other mystic nine leaders to make contact after first refusal, but he was considered too insignificant to get a meeting. The thing is, this was most likely filtering of the underlings than the actual masters. They let their bias make the decision for the masters. Qi is cut off because they are close to destination. Their first finding is a suspended body hanging upside down. Upon inspection it is discovered the creature ate the brains first and drug the body down to its current hanging spot. The villagers are more than happy to provide updates but they are not allowed to kill the deity. This does not stop them from wishing Zhang’s group success. Qi is set as bait and the baby with Zhang’s second. We hear the baby cry for first time and silenced. Then monster noises become more audible. Qi is the first to see it face to face. As fast as Zhang is, he barely caught a piece of it. The only thing determined initially is the speed and strong smell of the creature. Xiao Yu and baby are noted missing and Wi is his usual brave self. He is the master of camouflage.🤣 The villagers se a Japanese soldier with a creature and curious if the deity. What we know is it’s the smaller creature and the villagers real mission is taking out the Japanese. The small one is to bait the bigger one and they must be very confidant of Wu’s training to only have one guard with whistle accompanying it. It goes to the group looking for Qi. He is found and they drop through a shoot into an underground cavern. Here they find a rosewood chest from the Han dynasty. Inside is a large jar with life exchange herb and an aged monkey underneath. This is a dark magic ritual where one life is exchanged for another. This seems right up QianSui’s alley. 😝 The scene shifts back to Wu who is still caged and making knockout pills for the creature. He firmly believes Huo is the only mystic nine that would bother looking for him. Considering his history with entrance guards, that is a reasonable expectation. I would like to see his face knowing Xhang’s clan was in the mountain looking for him. That would be a true Kodak moment. 🤣We are back to the cavern and the large jar has been removed and there is a story map underneath. This box was used to get people in because the mountain was poisonous to humans. Once in they could perform the ritual that would make them younger. This would make them uneffected by the poison but age them rapidly. So the question became why all this effort to get here? He saw a picture of the small gold vial lech eunuch had. This grants restored youth. It leads to the Xumi realm where this takes place. It it the nirvana for Xiangxi worshippers. The connection from tower to realm was laid out and Xiangxi realm location. Zhang is still hunting and now the creature has taken out two more guys. It is very eerie watching XiaoYu be used as a puppet to communicate. We don’t know yet if he survived but we did see a Mortal Kombat move with full spine removal by Zhang. When the baby was out in danger all hell broke loose. Creature was KGX O2-03 Hatoyama test subject. Qi’s group finds out they need the creature to get through miasma. The return to find Zhang holding the baby and a mess. He knows Wu is alive because he found the whistle inside the creature. Zhang had them retrieve the men from the trees and he personally dug their graves. The greatest irony for the culling that has happened with mystic nine clans is it is not the expected enemy, it’s due to plots of the Japanese. Zhang and remaining of group give farewell salute to their fallen comrades as episode ends.

Flashing back to the past is not confusing everything is neatly structured, I immediately understand the flow even though sometimes going back and forth to the present or the past

Duty First, Kiss Later Episode 1

this was funny & love Takoi he is such a loveable character, little wonder everyone smiles when he is around, he is a sweetheart. which makes me wonder how come he is still single(?) cause good-guy's like him usually get snatched up in a blink. also even though he is a good guy he isn't an enabler & the sec he felt Shiono took it too far, he put his foot down & demanded they clear things up - which is understandable cause working in the same place would become annoying - given Shiono's attitude. & idk why i assumed Takoi was gay (in the closet) maybe cause of his age & the lack of a gf, plus his always mentioning females i thought that was a "beard" - but guessed wrong & Shiono is gay. but his approach at wooing he one he is interested in is kinda weird & hilarious. cute BL

After Moving Seats, the Boy Behind Me Has a Crush on Me Episode 1

cute & all but so freakin short & recognized the mains from other BL's. not that this means much just an observation. haven't read the mange this is adapted from so idk if there, there is more of a build up - but it felt weird this 0 to 100 switch. just hope Asamiya gives Mayama time to adjust & the progression of their romance is rush by Asamiya gaslighting & pushing Mayama into anything that he isn't ready for.. as is we see that he an enabler & very considerate of others - which can make him an easy target to those that want to take advantage of this trait, so this plus can become a minus in a blink & i don't a toxic romance. so here hoping this remains cute & healthy from start to finish

Enjoying watching this handsome actor and showing the backstory to him and Great Demon. Goddess character is still lame. Hou Minghao’s charm keeps episodes enjoyable. Jiu is funny.

Mountain God stepped up. Baize Goddess sat and watched everyone fight and she just cried. I hope it gets better. So far it’s ok. I am watching for Hou Minghao only.

I hope they succeed in curing Huayong, but I am also afraid we might be moving towards a sad ending (at least for him), especially when I consider the intro where Huayong's silhouette with Xihe's head in his lap disperses and then she's alone near the throne. But for this, of course, I will have to wait until the end. 🥺And finally, Xihe agreed to marry Huayong. The reason she says out loud is because he has only one year left to live and that's his wish before he dies, but in truth, she already has some feelings for him. I expect great and beautiful moments from their union. 🤗🥰But about Cui and Lin... I love them, but I get why Lin would be mad at him. I would be too if there were someone who constantly pestered me, intervened in any of my plans, and just didn't leave me alone for a bit. Cui, please be more thoughtful when it comes to Lin if you want her to accept you in any way! 😮💨🙏

This epis Was disappointing. The Goddess stays sitting on floor with tears in her eyes and doesn’t react otherwise. Like help in someway you are the Goddess. She is dumb. She still has to depend on Great Demon for everything. And Sister Pei still not being caught as the mole is annoying.

See You at Work Tomorrow! Episode 5

Episode was going well until the end. Also, didn't like that No Ah still wants her ex to be the bad guy. Does it suck when your ex moves on faster than you? Yes but the games I cannot tolerate.

This episode is actually a mixed bag because of the SFLs (the rivals) but the ML storyline is finally picking up steam and the FLs dad is definitely the highlight I was rofl

Plot devices are used and discarded, handily being forgotten by the next episode. Behavior of both leads beggars belief. Show is being brute-force carried by the acting and likeability of the leads, but it is teetering on the brink of being dropped.

See You at Work Tomorrow! Episode 4

I liked this ep. I'm glad she told Ga Eul not to fit into the life she wants b/c he IMO would only come to resent her anyway. It was a good place for them both to move forward seperately. I loved to that she did the presentation. I was really going to be pissed if they had made her miss that opportunity after all that buildup. This is what I'm so digging about this series is that they have the tropes but they are not leaning into them.

This Love Doesn't Have Long Beans Episode 5

This show felt like it would never end. It was actually going to be a 4 star from me but I cant stand shows or movies that drag on. We get the point lets wrap it up. Also, I don't appreciate how we saw these two men hook up like 17 times but we couldn't even get a kiss between the second couple until literally the last 40 minutes of the entire show??? Their storyline was the preferential one and it got what felt like 30 minutes of total airtime. I just can't in good consciousness give this show more than 3 stars, and thats being generous. I also really hate these shows that give that they're trying to villianize women by making them the ex who is trying to swoop in and steal the main characters man. He had no qualms about turning gay so I don't understand why making his ex a woman was necessary? Its giving gay for you and I donttt like it. Anyway thats all.

I am struggling with enjoying this show, it has two great actors and a female lead who is great in action but to call this a romcom is a stretch of the imaginations. The character is demeaning to women, and it gives me a point of view of what kind of girls wave the phallic-like light sticks in k-pop concerts….bright on the outside but empty inside. I may continue later and skip episode to see if this show improves but it would really be a surprise if the series and all its trope comes out differently. Forgive me I don’t want to demean fangirls but this show seems to express that.
