Episode 34 delivers a genuinely satisfying payoff, especially when it comes to the FL and ML’s career arcs. Just when everyone assumes the biggest players will dominate the bidding, they completely overlook the smaller company with the most thoughtful and innovative approach. Watching the FL help secure the tender — outplaying those who dismissed the company outright — was incredibly rewarding. The bullies finally get a taste of comeuppance, though I wouldn’t mind another dose still to come.On the family front, the FL’s father is still recovering and, thankfully, hasn’t allowed the schemers back into his life. That said, there’s now a clear distance between him and the FL that didn’t exist before. And of course, when the bid is won, his first instinct is to claim it’s because she “takes after him.” The ego really is something else.On a much sweeter note, the ML quietly steals the episode by expressing his desire for a future with the FL in his own understated way. A surprise visit to look at a house says far more than a grand speech ever could. It’s romance done softly — confident, intentional, and full of promise.It feels like the professional win is deliberately mirroring the emotional endgame — proving that substance, patience, and integrity ultimately outlast ego and manipulation.

another fluffy ep until that end, was surprised to see Ever 9 confusing food in the previous ep & seeing him eat again in this ep was wondering does he have an "output"?!? as he aint human i doubt he can enjoy food - does he have taste buds?? & where does that food go? think that 's what made his crash at the end. ********************************************************************also i didn't understand what the Uncle meant when Yi Ping called to tell him he wants to keep Ever 9 permanently. i think it was more of a translation problem then me not understanding what i was reading - so will have to see what happens in the next ep.

Reputation — karma, truth, and lines finally drawn

Episode 33 hits hard. After the FL’s father faints and is rushed to the hospital, we learn he has a tumour — and the irony is impossible to miss. If the ML hadn’t been injured, he would have been the one performing the surgery. Karma really does have a way of circling back.What’s even more painful is how quickly the FL’s father turns on her when the police are called, immediately assuming she’s to blame. But this episode finally gives us the moment we’ve been waiting for. The FL delivers a devastating verbal smackdown, laying everything bare and questioning whether he ever truly loved her if he could so easily believe the worst of her. That confrontation is witnessed by her mother, grandmother, and the ML — all of them silently reassessing the man in front of them with visible disappointment.Left alone at the end, the FL’s father is finally forced to sit with the consequences of his choices. And it’s clear that the FL is done. She won’t take it lying down anymore, especially if anyone dares to say a word against the ML. Her growth is undeniable, and so is her resolve.It feels like this episode is deliberately leaving the father at a crossroads — redemption is possible, but only if he truly changes, and it’s just as likely that the family will choose distance over forgiveness.

Designs and Debt collectors

Everything is now red beans celebrating their relationship. 😁 Jie is liking the snacks but wants some explanation about the red beans. 🤣😂 In this episode the two companies are discussing the design and placement of solar panels. It is agreed that it still needs tweaking. XiGuang did not speak up at the meeting but there were ideas discussed with her auntie afterwards. Making waves with the ship design sounds like a good plan. Mr. Hua😂🤣 he won’t attend a meeting to save his life but he really wants to share his ideas. So it’s a big U turn to help bail out uncle and share the design ideas. XiGuang’s Gpa is having dizzy spells and Gma wants a visit. Dr Lin makes himself available and the grandparents get to meet the new bf. They both get ash face paint from wood stove lighting.🤣 He offers to be next chef but refrains from any more stove fire tending. 🤣 Gma can’t wait to show off the visiting doctor bf and soon every senior with an unexplained physical exam report is filing in for his expertise.🤣😂 Gma can now verify that bf is indeed handsome. There is a ringing of the doorbell and a group of gentleman are demanding payment for real estate ventures. Faux family talked them into investing and the old coot took the money and ran. Nie is being held accountable and they run to his parents house to cause trouble. While he is at the company saying why he won’t invest he gets a call from XiGuang and heads home to face the music. Glad Lin was along as the rudest guy thought he was gonna intimidate her. He went from looking down on her to looking way up at Mr tall dark and bordering angry and changes his tune. The bottom line is most of these guys invested their life savings and now have nothing to show for it. Waiting to see how Nie talks his way out of this one since real estate is so damn reliable.😝

Something feels off, and it’s impossible to ignore the sense that a storm is brewing.It feels like the debt collectors aren’t just a plot device, but the first visible crack in a much larger fallout tied to long-standing financial and family missteps.

this is what i dread - everyone so hyped about AI & having personalized robots as house-workes etc.. given how people tend to treat pets let alone other humans that r sometimes dependent on them it makes me shudder what they will do to these intelligent robots & if like we see towards the end that in-spite of being a robot Ever 9 is very aware, hope will he cope with heartache or abuse of any kind?? given as a robot no laws apply to him & will keep him safe. maybe i am thinking too deeply about this. bit can't help it. ***********************************************************************************************************this was a cute ep but it bothers me that when Yi Ping looks at Ever 9 he keeps thinking about his pet, they not the same given he is also having |"naughty" thoughts in regards to Ever 9, which i doubt he had when was thinking about his dog.

Too late to rewrite the past

Episode 31 is all about realisation. It’s been a long time coming, but the SML finally understands what the FL went through when he doubted her and allowed others to question her character. Now that he’s facing a similar situation, he’s forced to step into her shoes — and it’s deeply uncomfortable. I won’t lie, I felt for him… and then remembered the many chances he had to act differently. This pain is the consequence of his own inaction.Meanwhile, the FL is firmly in her clarity era. She knows the regrets of the past belong exactly where they are — in the past. She’s unwavering in her love for the ML, and her words say it best: unrequited love fades quickly, while mutual love endures. She wants the ML to know, without a single doubt, that she chooses him.And honestly, can we take a moment to praise her growth? She’s gone from a timid girl to a confident boss lady under the ML’s guidance, and her perfectly delivered verbal shut-down of the ML’s annoying cousin is chef’s kiss. Growth never looked so satisfying.It feels like this episode is deliberately closing the emotional loop on the SML’s arc, shifting the story’s focus fully toward partnership, purpose, and earned confidence.

Plans and rumors

As luck would have it cousin and entourage run into Lin and XiGuang’s group. Both groups have plans for the site. It is always to one’s advantage to be underestimated. Lin does a decent job of pretending he’s hosting his gf’s family on a tour of the premises. They did a top notch job double teaming the “delightful” cousin😝 and auntie approved their efforts. 😁It is laughable that he thinks Rong can be his spy on XiGuang.😂😝 It is hard to know if Gpa pitted his grandsons against each other on purpose or not. He’s probably grinning on the sidelines waiting to see his favorite win the race. 😁 I smirked when he acted nervous. He’s arrogant, but not stupid. Rumors run rampant at the bank and Chris is getting the worst of it. Wingman and Xu supposedly battled on the slopes for her attention and that’s how he got hurt. Now Xu is accused of brown nosing and using his ‘connections’ to get his position in investment banking. It couldn’t be because he worked his ass off and earned it. He finally hears and understands better the consequences of fake rumors. Even now he doesn’t think about Chris, he texts an apology to XiGuang—that he lacks the courage to send. He goes to dinner with Jiang Rui and questions him about that summer abroad. He’s looking for sympathy and maybe a better wingman. Jiang Rui continues to be the sweetheart brother. He calls and chats with XiGuang to clarify misunderstandings and tries to put Xu in a decent light. You can’t be annoyed with him because he was right there up front watching his cousin crush on his tutor. He’s making sure his cousin isn’t settling and with the guy she cares for most. There is no denying his relief that Lin is her guy. But it’s sweet he felt duty bound to be sure he hadn’t messed up an opportunity for her. She compares the two she loved as a candle and the Sun. The one flickering and dimming to fizzle out and the other radiant and a full partner. There is no doubt who is the better man.🥰 They are cute shopping and she does a mysterious side trip. How many surgeons does it take to clean a lobster?😂🤣 After both bragged about capabilities, she had to look up instructions for him and he teased her about the extra lobster she was being generous with.😂🤣 She gets him to go to his study and he sees the red beans in the bowl. She starts to explain about the bday party and he said he figured it out. I loved his response when she asked him why he didn’t ask her about it. You came to me and jumped in my arms.❤️ After receiving the last red bean he did admit he had some fear but no longer does. Their hugs say quite a bit. I like that they are physically and mentally supporting each other. Not gonna lie I’m glad they’re also spicing things up. Karma has hit Xu and I can’t feel sorry for him. This will broaden his EQ horizons and maybe force him to grow up and get over himself.😝Wingman is just kinda dumb. He’s like a puppy that’s cute but makes messes everywhere he goes.😂🤣 Chris needs some support because she’s getting kicked for being a decent person. I want things to change for her quickly. Looks like it might be an overnighter at the bf’s house😍☺️
