While main story sidetracks to selling male lead Xiuyuan to a theatre (whyy?), we get to know who's a rival and who's a friend, dive a little into their motives and backstory, their strengths and fighting styles. Solid continuation of the exposition.

We get to know sly tomboy female lead and her tricky shifu (that's where she got that from huh). Looks like this is only the exposition before the plot thickens. Luckily we also get to become enemies with our grumpy cat male lead. Lots of funny interactions to get to know and love the characters!

Everything is going smoothly for Fulaxida. Mr Li is on board. He has helped Mr Liao make peace with his daughter and has even possibly made peace with his old nemesis. Unfortunately, purely by chance, Qian Fei finds out who Yi Fei really is. She now has him locked out of his own apartment. I would have found it more believable for her to be somewhere else waiting for him to look for her. She has a right to be angry, but to lock him out of a place he paid for just rubs me the wrong way. Especially when he helped her ex out with medical bills. I really am not happy wasting the last episode with this. But I also have to agree he could have told her. Threatening to call the cops is really over the top and I’m disappointed with her. This is evened out with her candid chat with his dad. 😘 Her direct counters intrigued him. Her stance on money relatable to him as a businessman, and that Yi Fei told her about his swimming lessons revealed how highly he trusted and respected her. This was new turf. I liked their conversation at the IPO celebration. His appreciation of a woman that could bring out the better nature of his son. Seeing ShiYu and ex at the celebration. 😂 Looks like JingJing and LuZe having twins. 🫣 And the Jun’s jointing Dang Yu with livestreams. The ending where she ended up proposing first🥰🌹 His wanting food. 🤣😂I wish they would have shown candid wedding shots and maybe baby pics with LuZe rather than rehash the show. But, overall it was still an enjoyable watch and I do recommend. It is definitely not without flaws, I grumbled about all of them😂🤣 but it also has a lot of heart and leaves you smiling.

Love Like the Galaxy: Part 2 Episode 9

What an episode! Not just a banquet to celebrate the Empress' birthday, but it was also a banquet of emotions. 😭🥰😠As an appetiser, we got anger, terror, and fear, served by the Fifth Princess. She chose to deal with Shaoshang by pushing her into the pond, throwing rocks at her while she tried to get to the shore, and even ordering her maid to release snakes into the water, where one of them bit her leg. A terrible, terrible scene. Historical bullying at its finest and very hard to watch. 😡😟🫣 And just when I thought that all of that was behind us at this point...For the main course, we got emotional pain, lots of tears, and a very sweet, intimate, and comforting bedroom scene served by Buyi and Shaoshang themselves. He came to her late in the evening to shower her with praises, but instead, after what she had experienced during the day, those words had the completely opposite effect. It brought Shaoshang to tears, and not only her. Oh, how it hurt... 😭😭💔 Buyi noticed it eventually and asked what had happened, but she wouldn't tell the truth... of course, she said she was homesick, because she doesn't want to always run to him for defence, and just asked him to hug her... tighter... tighter... even tighter... 🥺🫂Buyi's comfort came suddenly, turning my tears into breathless sighs... The moves, the landing in the bed, the embrace, the gaze... It really was breathtakingly beautiful and intimate... ❤️🥹🥰For dessert, we got joy, flirting, some provocations, and a little anxiety for a cliffhanger, served now by all of them combined. Buyi and Shaoshang so openly showed their affection for each other, making the haters hate them more and leaving the supporters just in awe. 🥰✨ The Fifth Princess used yet another scheme from her very wide sleeve and tried to frame Shaoshang as being in a secret relationship with the Fifth Prince... 🤬 I am quite sure nothing of her plan will work, because Buyi definitely is smarter than that, and even the Fifth Prince might deny it after that insightful conversation with Shaoshang. 🤔☝️

All signs are pointing towards bestie An Su falling for psychopath Song Han, who is super-eager to sign-up for treason, specifically to betray his brother. There is a slim possibility that is an act, but it doesn't look like it's an act. So An Su may be headed for a tragic romance if she stays on course with him. This show has killed off so many 'good people' so far, from SM's uncle to his mom, to DZ's mom and then most tragically, her sister, Dou Ming. Indeed the latter counts as one seriously tragic couple so the show clearly has no qualms about killing off the good guys. And on the flip side, the only bad guys that have even been 'caught' so far are ML's dad and FL's step-mom and the latter is still alive.; So this show seems intent on building up the karma on one side but hopefully will bring justice to everyone by the end.

Giving this episode a low rating solely because the writers decided to lean into the stupid, "Noble Idiocy", drama trope to form the 'drama' for this episode. Fortunately, it gets busted up before the end of the episode and didn't drag it out for multiple episodes, but just using it at all is so annoying. They have Song Mo deciding to hide his poisoning from Dou Zhao and 'suffer in silence' for the 'greater good'. This is one of the most annoying, stupid, lazy-punk writer devices that should, frankly, be banned from ever being used again by story-tellers. It requires the character who is previously shown to be very smart to act like an idiot. It requires the character to break promises made. It basically requires a complete plot-induced character change and is just dumb. In almost every case, the same overall story can be told without using this trope. So please writers, don't use it.

Yi Fei gets around Qian Fei selling her apartment by buying it from her. He is now the Pretentious landlord.🤣😂 It is funny that Jun Cheng told him correctly, from Dang Yu’s lips to Yi Fei’s ears.🤣😂 He has Qian Fei’s company be an investor and she gets to lead up the project. They are the typical corporate couple with endless meetings and hardly being in same city much less same apartment. He follows her to save her from middle-aged men.🤣😂 His colleague calls about a meeting he has to be at so he is outed for skipping work. Things are going too well as next episode shows Yi Fei’s father sounding way too much like Ms Jun. After seeing the difference in his son and knowing how much they helped each other….. I am hoping that was preview cut off sentence. Yi Fei has finally arrived to same page as father…so why would his dad jeopardize all that now?

There is finally hope for the main couple. Security is coming down on the trio and can’t say unhappy justice came swiftly. Not sure if colleague’s crying act was for real or just acting for lighter sentence. I am surprised a bit at the hug for Fan, but she is still able to appreciate the mentor she was and step away from the leader she had become. I liked father and son getting a real appreciation scene. His dad watched out for her and son watched out for dad’s company. It also fills in the history abut about YiFei’s mom. Qian Fei’s testing of his patience. 😝🙄Had she not been so extra over Qin, maybe this would go over better. But after all of that time wasted holding him accountable for a relationship that never was, his patience had already been tried and tested. This was callous of her tho he takes it in stride with good humor. He probably considers it penance for his business trip disappearance. Liao was less successful with his daughter. She is resigning before he can move her to a low dept. She wasn’t ready for the position and he should have side saddled to educate her in company management. I did not like her petty removal of Qian Fei, but other than that her business moral compass is in a much better direction than her father’s. I will chalk that one lapse to misguided affection. Qian Fei was also guilty of that suppressing her career. She was surprised to see him at her meeting about Fulaxida. She lays the ground rules for their relationship—both staking a claim and holding him at a distance. What was a pleasant surprise was Liao ShiYu looking for a job, and for the right reasons. She wanted to work with integrity and back projects where that was the biggest consideration. An even bigger surprise was him referring her to his ex. The one that has tons of money and too much time on her hands. Next episode looks like Qian Fei is going to sell her a;artment for Ms Wang’s kidney transplant.

given the fact that if one kills the other end of BL i doubt that's what's gonna happen & was caught off guard that Tae Jeong came out & asked Seo I Do who he was as the real Dong Jin was already dead. glad i am binge watching this after this has completed - no waiting to be had. but more of an observation; for a trained contract killer, Seo I Do for sure makes a lot of mistakes where Dong Hwa is concerned. & it's shocking as i am sure Dong Hwa was his 1st mark - so why he so sloppy??? time will tell i guess...

This episode definitely felt a bit slow but it was good that with this type of series we get an episode where it focuses on character intro and the world build. As for boat and oat, im definitely liking oat's character alot more so far than i did in my stubborn. And boat i feel like he done well this episode but i need to see more of him to say anymore. As for the world bulding there could be some improvement but it doesnt bother me much. So id say this episode was pretty good. Omegaverse has so many different versions and ways that authors and shows can adapt it so im very interested in seeing how the show continues with it. And it looks like based on the end and preview the pace might start picking up next episode.

Qian Fei goes to Chengdu to get her old computer back because it has the back up to Yi Fei;s phone. She sends him an email with the data but also discovers Fang involved. Hi Fei and Ms Liao have an impromptu meeting where he confirms Sang’s association with Liao. Here he sees his colleague followed by Sang. I am sad the Shanlifang guy is the third bad guy for real. He probably has an early retirement strategy at Yi Fei’s expense. He now knows there is another computer with the info he took out. I am glad there was a third party that handled the car accident. And I am glad there is no hospital bedside scene with her computer missing. These two finally agree to agree.🤣🙄🥰 Sang is trying to come across smarter than he is but his plot is unraveling. He still has to convince Liao that they were always on the same side. I really wanna see some justice regarding Sang, Fang and colleague playing nice guy. 😡🤬Sang is pushing Mr Liao into more visible posturing with Fulaxida and disregard the failing of Shanlifang. Mr Liao sees the right of things. His daughter already told him about Sang and he doesn’t want to go down with them.

What a plan Fei had to make that apology go through! 👏 And Yifei as usual secretly helped her all along. 😏I absolutely loved those little moments when his gaze stayed a bit longer on her, or how he playfully teased her just so she would be close to him. His heart almost stopped from the effect she had on him on that sofa... 🥰💓 Yeah, the love is definitely there! Now we just need them to admit it and get those fireworks flying for once! ☝️Please, finally.... 🙏
