The First Jasmine Episode 32

I still don't know exactly what happened to the Masters and students of Li Academy, but Ye Li was alone for many years. Her mind couldn't deal with being alone and she made believe everyone was still around, teaching her medicine, martial arts and more. She foraged for food, relied on rain for water and just survived, fueled with her plans for revenge. Her mind is so fractured. When confronted with the truth that there's no one but her left, she's unable to accept it. Prince Ding has promised yet again never to leave her alone. This time, I hope he is sincere and can keep his word.

A very good episode. 🌟 Xiuyao realised what has happened with A'Li, and how she has been living in the Lishan Academy.😌That scene where the eunuch (I forgot his name) kept asking where everyone is, pointing as if she was intentionally lying, was frustrating. 😤 I am so grateful to Xiuyao for shouting at him to shut him up, yet that didn't really change anything, because now he has gone back to the capital to inform the Empress Dowager. 🙄But all of that actually leads to thinking: was it really an ordered massacre of the Lishan Academy, or maybe something entirely different wiped it out? 🤔That scene at the end where A'Li prepared a meal for all the members of Lishan Academy and introduced them to her husband, and him to them... I can't even describe how heavy my heart got for her and her mental state. 🥺🤧 A'Yao acted along as if everything she sees is true... And that makes me wonder—if and how they will set her mind back to a normal state? 🤔 Either she heals just by being surrounded with living people, specifically Xiuyao, and eventually forgets about these delusions while he gradually feeds her the information that they died, or it might be some very traumatic shock moment that just takes her back to the moment where she lost them all, making her realise what has happened. 😔

The scene where Neen and Runch argue is full of emotions. There’s a Thai thing where the couple call themselves as Nong and Phi as an endearment. Then there is Khun and Chun of You and I in a more stranger way. Neen use Khun and Chun to refer herself and to Runch but when the argument gets too emotional, she started to go back and forth from calling Runch as Phi and Nong. It really portrayed how Neen loves Runch so much that even when she try to put up walls to protect her feelings after being said Divorce from her wife, in heated argument, her real feelings/Love comes forward.

i like how they’re unraveling. i think each member of the fsmily is being placed forward perfectly. a lot of their problems aren’t something that can easily be patched in fortyi+five minutes so i like their approach with taking their time to have mabo take them in slowly. i also do like how they’re handling mabo. i think his sage dropping by every so often to remind him to try to be a person is nice. this is a slow part of the show so it keeps us focused on the grieving people & i did enjoy the mother & daughter in+laws.

I wonder who wiped the whiteboard? Was it a targeted sabotage? 🤨🤔 Even I saw this possibility that it might be erased and she would lose all her night's work. Oh, that silly girl! 🤦♀️ At least Yifei took photo of them and could save the day for her. What would she do without him, eh? 🤷♀️I am glad they talked and resolved that issue with "using", which means they returned to their old cozy selves—the way I like them the most. 🤗 And those Yifei's answers to Gui Lili from Fei's phone... 😂 And kudos to Zhao De for reading the room. Yeah.... card in his office. 🤭Jun Cheng's parents are the worst... I will complain yet again how they don't have any boundaries. If they expect that to be a comedy-like move—well, it isn't. 😩

The writers have just leaned heavily into the stupid, most-annoying drama trope of, "Noble Idiocy" -- Yuan Shuai proceeds to take on all the burdens, lets himself get framed, pushes everyone away and declines to explain or share what he's doing. "Gives up on their love" for the "greater good". And for no F'ing good reason. This is a cheap, stereotypical plot gimmick that is among the most hated by fans (for good reason). It requires huge truckloads of plot-induced stupidity. The 'break up' with Jiang Jun is unbelievably stupid. It is obvious to us viewers that he's performing a scheme and it makes no sense that he had to keep her in the dark for what he's doing. There are lots of ways for him to have carried out this ruse while not hurting her. Doing it this way is just stupid and unnecessary and shows a lack of trust - right after he had just promised her he would not lie to her. And he's also breaking his promise to both her father and mother to not be the reason she cries. This is not the Yuan Shuai of the last 26 episodes. This is a plot-twisted version derived out of nowhere by the writers just to create some drama. Sigh ... having come this far, I'll gut it out until they bring the plot past this stupidity and hope they finish the series with a better arc. Just very disappointed in the writers right now.

All the annoying ladies are getting punished, which means we will soon be out of antagonists. Could that mean something big is coming? Also, Yuan Shen joining the imperial court probably means he will become a more regular fixture in all of their affairs. Maybe he'll be the one to stir the waters for Buyi and Shaoshang? 🤔But Shaoshang and Buyi are so smitten with each other! I can't ignore those smiles, those gazes... 🤭🥰🤗And, lol, "a few small items"—and Buyi empties Shaoshang's room completely! 😂

Wow. Jiang Jun's mom is sweet... but the way she made Yuan Shuai drink all that wine was a total power dominance move. So smooth and cold-hearted. I guess she really needed to make it clear that she may forgive him - and accept that he did not really mean to cause harm - but the pain and trauma the family had endured was real and doesn't just go away regardless of forgiveness. So she needed to make an impression on him. JJ's mom (played by veteran actress Hu Xiao Ting) just takes over and dominates this episode. She's so good!

Oh, what an episode! 🤩I loved how Shaoshang and her mother both took Buyi and his mother's side against Madam Chunyu. She, of course, couldn't tolerate that "humiliation" and ran to the Old Princess Consort Ruyang. But their attempt to ruin the engagement party backfired on them heavily, thanks to the brilliant teamwork between Shaoshang, Buyi, the Emperor, and both of his wives. Bravo! No other words needed. 👏🥳P.S. AND we got a kiss! Every man should master Buyi's method of how to shut his beloved's mouth when she's saying things he doesn't want to hear. 🥰🤭

i enjoyed this all a lot. one specific thing is that i think they are very aware of how to clean up any holes you could think of. i also think people has this misconception that children are stupid & you can get away with not addressing inconsistencies when that would be the most glaring thing they latch onto & get bothered by ,very nice things like gentaro offering up the massigler to ryusei as something to get him around faster[ which also doubles as showing how much gentaro trusts ryusei ]to hayami dredging up kijima to dispose of. it also makes sense but now to what they were actually trying to accomplish. i slowly realized at the start of last episode that cancer was going to be destroyed. i was thinking it’d be libra & thank god he lives another day hehehe. but it’s perfect. kijima’s ego was being flamed every new episode & it echoes ryusei having to learn some humility to finally level up. i also liked how we audibly hear jk in a state that miu was earlier where he still holds on to his stark character & flaws but can take a stand & value his friends. he’s not there yet but he shouldn’t be & is right on track. tomoko however i don’t know what’s next for her but i really enjoy how they connect her to ryusei. it truly is something she does perfectly that cannot be replicated by any of them tapping in. i have a lot of faith in the fourze team to deliver a home+run by the end of this show. i think i really appreciate starting this show & restarting it so much later after bonding with my first impression & now see them hit their evolution points.

Xiaochuan continues to be an emotional idiot with the socio-emotional awareness of a rock. Li needs to move on to find a mature human man who will treat her right. Xiaochuan is al already old enough to be mostly who he will ever be. He may change a little, but he's not realistically going to change as much as he needs to to become real boyfriend material. Meanwhile, while they are unfortunately kept separate for a large span due to a business trip, we nevertheless get more cute moments with our main couple. And we get a reunion meeting between Yuan Shuai and JJ's mom!

This episode moved me. It moved me so much that I had to write a review for it. The flowers, the weighted discussions, the honesty, the youth. Gemini and Fourth really made this character's bloom, grow, and shine. We are nearing the end and I don't want it to stop.

This time, his sister, dropping into full villain mode, connives to bring the disgusting Du family back into Jiang Jun's story in a vicious, nasty manner by attacking Jun just to show her brother that she can. This has the affect of us having to endure Du Lei's pathetic existence in the story more. It's notable that even in the act of 'saving' Jun, he instinctively lies about her condition to Li and Xiaochuan. And further info is revealed about his misdeeds from the past. And he further shows he is still not a good person because he hides the truth about his sister having been the one who hurt Jun when confronted by Yuan Shuai. He claims he would, "never hurt her", but hiding this sort of truth DOES hurt her. But he's not really a good person and selfishly doesn't want to reveal the truth to YS. Most of his story is still quite skippable. On the bothersome Li+Xiaochuan story, the latter continues to be an emotional idiot. I suspect that he never actually entered his own data into the West World App and that's why he and Li are not getting a match. That will probably get revealed at some point. Otherwise, if he did, Li should trust the algorithm and go find a better man. Once all that stupid annoying stuff is over, we get treated to a delightful session of Jiang Jun and Yuan Shuai tickling each other on the couch.

That Eunuch will now realize that some breakfast is better than no breakfast. 😝When they arrive he pompously addresses the guards where Prince Ding asks if he may go in. I don’t know what they thought they would see, but none were prepared for what really was. The ravens should have been first clue. I think that is the most exercise that eunuch has had in a long time. He has his version of what happened and runs back to palace. Xiu Yao writes a letter to the Emperor and sends his man down with initial findings. I am sure he has requested to investigate the matter. It is heartbreaking to see the few areas Ye Li has been using amongst the dust and decay. Xiu Yao is shook to the core as he starts processing the obstacles his wife dealt with so calmly. He now knows why she has the hands of a servant when she returns with soup ingredients. He can only hold her and feel remorse for his selfish judgment of her and her mother. She notices his hair and wants to know if it turned gray because he missed her. 😭Everyone is sent back to the capital except the Prince. He has apologized over and over for not keeping his promises but that he will stay by her side now. He takes in where she studied for ways to cure him and the chair she had designed. He sees the monkeys that tormented her. He knows she is fragile and does not see this place as empty. He is determined to find out what happened and bring her home. He adjusts to her view when she introduced him to friends and family and returns greetings. She has tables prepared for everyone and his heart breaks for her. He survived hell but sees her captivity as far worse. As alone as he was, it was not this. She had to provide everything needed to survive while all those protecting guards did nothing to assist. This is the benevolence from the palace letting them devote themselves to their work without hindrance.😝🤬 There are no words strong enough to convey her courage and fortitude to survive. Here, short term memory of real life seems to be buried under her memories so she can continue surviving here the only way she knows how.😭 She looks at him so lovingly telling him not to blame himself. She sees him so clearly while the rest of the world is tuned out except for her fond memories of those she cared about most. After letting us see all this, I want Xiu Yao to find out what really happened to these people and help Ye Li come back to reality as it really is, not how she dreams. I am hoping they get justice for the school that produced leaders and officials but not protected by any of them. 🤬 we get a quick scene of spy Feng walking to Cangbai on the road where he first met his merchant princess. Til the last episode ends I will hope she is alive, they find each other, and have a good ending together. For once I was glad only one episode. This was enough heartbreak to take in for one day. I hope for Prince and Princess Ding their joy becomes greater than the sorrow they endured.

Jun Cheng is really becoming a bit of a stalker. 😬 And his parents? OMG, they really have no boundaries! 🤦♀️I understand he wants to show her that he likes her and everything, but this is looking way too much. 😅 It would be better if he chose a tactic where he ignores her for a bit and sees if she starts missing all those unwanted gestures. 🤷♀️I didn't quite understand what happened between Fei and Yifei... 🤔 So, from what Fang Yun said, she understood that Yifei is using her as a weapon for his goals and just decided to block him instead of asking? They share an apartment, so she cannot avoid him endlessly! 🤦♀️ I still think Fang Yun is the one trying to use Fei for her own plans way more than Yifei ever has! And that's exactly why she talked to her—to make that "weapon" mistrust Yifei. 🤨
