What a delightful surprise to see Peter Ho in a role that hopefully is not a villain this time! 😊🤞 And the Duke of Wei as a character gives off a positive vibe that he is as funny as his son, at least regarding XiHe. A protective father who wants all the best for his daughter and for her to be happy. I know he eventually will accept the Crown Prince, but I expect them to continue to entertain me with their hilarious exchange of words. 😅And once again I have to say that the Lin and Cui romance arc is the best possible thing this drama could have. The way it evolves has all the points I suspected in the best way possible. And, oh, Cui got moves! 😏🥰 However, I get why Lin rejects him. She confirmed the assumptions I made before — that she has to pretend to be a man, the only heir of Marquis Shunan, for her family. But could that mean their relationship would be possible if Cui agrees to be her matrilocal husband? 🤔As for XiHe and HuaYong — I think the cancellation of their engagement won't happen... They are letting that thought linger there for too long without actually acting on it. And the longer it stays this way, the higher the chance of them abandoning it completely. But ofc, that may change once the Duke of Wei goes back home. 🫣The Duke of Ying confirming my theory that the poison was meant for the Emperor, yet adding that he wasn't the one who used that poison, raises so many new questions. But for now I will stick to one of my theories that Noble Consort Rong was a part of it. And especially if I understood it correctly and she's the sister of the Duke of Ying. 🤨

am glad Phatsa told his father he was at fault - cause he was, even if ur son is an alfa, why not give him a heads-up?!? but he is the same moron that didn't bite the woman he loved, just to keep her safe - like make it make sense?!? if u bleedin got enemies - like who in this world got enemies?!? most people don't have enemies, we got people we like or dislike... but calling them enemies & him telling Phatsa he murdered the dude after Phatsa's mother passed & he didn't do time - in this type of world, to abandon ur child is ridiculous - what if Phatsa was an alfa & he bit someone cause he lost control of his pheromones?? that ok cause he not an omega?!?? & him shouting demanding to know what happened - when he 1st saw the bite mark, like r u kidding me??? that whole scene got old fast. dude not trust worthy & if he was a bad husband/partner he is a worse father. like now that u've finally showed-up why not ask to met ur son's partner? make sure who ur son has bonded with, no? seriously hope we don't see any more of him - cause he is useless... ************************************************************************************that's why i kinda felt so bad for Phatsa, when he was the only one oblivious to what was going on with his own body. everyone rejoicing & high-fiving themselves behind his back & they might be taking care of him, but everyone so attentive cause of the baby, not cause of him - that's sad & if he is hurt when he finds out, he will be justified. ********************************************but in-spite of everything going on, this ep was a snooze fest, too many scenes were dragged out & the dialogue on a whole didn't forward the plot, just a lot of fluffy & a waste of time. same with Nakhin & Ongsa, that's why was kinda shocked by their NC scene at the end, cause how Ongsa was acting - thought he would keep acting coy making Nakhin work extra hard for it. but nope, he caved & i think their scene was hotter then the mains - but admit that with the mains i tend to skip - so there is that lol...

We get Xi He trapped in a fire by assassins (who weren't actually after her!) and rescued by The Boy Idiot, Prince Lie. We get a steamy yet also frosty interacting between Hua Yong and Xi He. We get a tense face off between Hua Yong and the two Rong Princes. Then we get a whole SML & SFL side quest started as Bu Shu Lin and Cui Jin Bai both go on undercover missions on the same case. And their convergence naturally brings Xi He and Hua Yong into convergence as well. The only dumb glitch in the episode is the bizarre leap to conclusion that 5th Prince makes that ML & FL are having relationship issues. That extreme jump to a conclusion is almost as bad as the earlier one he made about his dead wife coming back to life as Xi He. Regardless of whether he's "correct", there is just no way he should be making these conclusions. It's absolute plot contrived silliness.

Well , I like the whole marriage sequence as I care only for Le'an and really happy for Le'an. At the same time, they continue their investigation for the crisis. The highlight should be all flashbacks shown in episode cuz it's really important for rekindle their feeling, not for Le'an, but for themselves. I need to save my energy for tomorrow cuz we will have Express 6 episode in one go. That will be too much adrenaline rush for me.

. . . . HOW ?GKJGBDFDFFFMFSKMDFSK HOW DOES THAT WORK ?look I’m going to let them just make stuff up in the last two minjutes of the show it’s okay. that was so ridicullous i can’t even start this off talking about how gagged i was seeing the shot from the opening sequence be her ascension. i forget that that was the main goal ,in a good way. you get drawn into their romance that much that it takes over 。・:*:・゚★,。・:*:・゚☆ 。・:*:・゚★,。・:*:・゚☆ i enjoyed the life of shen xi he. i love how she can out+wardly display the worst of power & scorns the noble with their own nature. it’s because she has all the virtues they feign i like it a lot. i thought this was a lovely wrap+up. the final act was wonderful to watch it was really impressive. i could say a lot but i think the most important thing about this show is letting them explain themselves. which is ironic given how this show just ended but like. okay let me pause my music & actually talk about it all 。・:*:・゚★,。・:*:・゚☆ 。・:*:・゚★,。・:*:・゚☆ i did enjoy this wrap+up a lot. i loved her final plan ,I’m pretty sure that was one of the war orphans she helped along the way & it was really nice seeing the women she befriended along the way rally beside her. some of them i could not remember for the life of me but that’s okay. i also like how we had a moment just before this where she directly saved them all once more & empowered them to take the offensive position we later see them stanced 。・:*:・゚★,。・:*:・゚☆ 。・:*:・゚★,。・:*:・゚☆ prince xin got to die with a lot of dimmension. i think shen xi he’s feelings towards him is more complex then singular words can sum up. this ties into the emperor too where i feel like they were given a little too much grace ,like i do think it works for prince xin to understand he will never be loved & have a final gift for the benefit of shen xi he but i do believe he had an under+cuurrent that would want to beat her in a scheme & have shen xi he all to himself. the emperor admits he had the selfish ambition & that’s why i say let them finish speaking igunbtrijmbfijmefjnms i think they’re all complicated people ,& there are some overly justifying details that are attempts to make them less divisive but I’ll take this show as it is. i did have a good time ,i was happy & invested. they told a great story & they crafted it with so much care. some genuinely amazing scenes were filmed & the actors did work to be proud of.

Any experienced c-drama watcher would expect a downturn about now and the writers have delivered, with finally revealing to Xi He that Hua Yong is the "Tagara Incense". Given her past life experience of being forced into a loveless marriage to a man that ultimately wiped out her whole family, her subsequent suicide and then being reborn as a woman who was just murdered due to court schemes, she just does not want a part of any marriage where she is the weaker party. Plus she's probably a bit angry at being deceived. However, one has to hope that she will ultimately come to the realization that even though CP's capabilities are far more terrifying than she had realized, he is still her safest bet. Might take an episode or two. Or three. Hopefully not too many.

Most importantly, we have Xiao Hua Yong winning the good side of Brother-in-Law Shen and then the approval of the marriage by the Emperor. We also get a clearly drawn line of rejection by Shen Xi He between her and the psychopath 5th Prince. Ignoring some of the harmlessly silly aspects (the crazy use of cats again and again!) the only negative is the show at the moment is spending too much screen time dwelling on the emotional background and state of the psychopath. A lot of shows go wrong when the devote too much screen time to such characters as if to build some sort of empathy for their sorry, pathetic existence. This is a mistake because frankly, not only do most viewers not care about the back story of such sickos, we usually find it just a time-wasting drag and annoying. We just need enough info to know that the guy is sick and deluded. More than that is not useful and not entertaining. Screen time is almost always better spent on the two leads. So I hope the show doesn't waste too much screen time on the psycho going forward. We don't need any more evidence he's delusional - we know already - nor do we need a bunch of sad-sack sob-story showing how something in his childhood led him to his sorry state. He killed the entire Gu family and tried to keep Gu Qing Zhi as a trophy possession. No way we are ever going to feel sorry for him.

First episode and the FL was already totally wasted twice. There must be a better way to tell a story. I am dropping this.
