War, chaos are on the verge, XZ time in Xigu Lane is counting while CY found out her origin .And her 4 wingmen return .The highlights of this episode should be those eyes of XZ and CZ in the room where she washed her feet. It's been for a while to see such affectionate and emotional eyes acting in films and dramas.

Family gathering to celebrate . The whole episode is so cozy ,warm and comforting. Like their affection, th chaos and war grows bigger. Satisfied that our power duo have opportunity to give lesson to that coward. And their Family portrait 🥹

This was literally an episode of just crossing boundaries, sexual assault, toxic insecurity, and rape. None of it was cute. All of it was just straight garbage.

Pursuit of Jade Episode 15

Episode ThoughtsEpisode 15 feels like one of those episodes where everything is quietly building toward something bigger. The ML has made a decision — he plans to leave after the FL’s birthday, which is only three days away.Meanwhile the FL is trying to get closer to him, but the ML is doing everything possible to keep a little distance. At one point he’d literally rather share a room with another man than stay in the same room as her.Honestly… the man is painfully shy.Still, we get a really sweet moment when the FL is washing her feet and they share a quiet, intimate scene together. It’s soft and awkward and full of tension… right up until the ML gets embarrassed and runs off.Later the ML has a serious conversation with the headmaster. The headmaster questions whether the ML truly plans to leave the sisters behind. Once he leaves, it may be very difficult for them to ever meet again. What’s frustrating is that the ML is making this decision without even asking the FL what she wants. He believes leaving will protect her freedom, but it still feels like he’s deciding her future for her.We see him reflecting on everything he knows about her — how strong, resilient and brave she is.Clearly she’s not someone who needs protecting in the way he thinks. In a lighter moment the headmaster brings money to help him, which the ML initially refuses. After a bit of hesitation though, he changes his mind and eventually gives the large sum of money to the FL.It’s his quiet way of making sure she’ll be taken care of after he leaves.Another important development happens when the FL finally learns that there’s more to her parents’ deaths than the story she’s been told.Up until now she believed they were simply killed by bandits, but it’s becoming increasingly clear that their deaths were connected to something much bigger.Political power struggles, hidden enemies, and that mysterious case from years ago are all starting to circle back to her family. For the first time the FL realises that her parents may have been caught up in a much deeper conspiracy.Which means the truth about their deaths might be far more dangerous than she ever imagined.Elsewhere the political situation continues to spiral.People hungry for power are stirring up chaos, soldiers are killing innocent civilians and unrest is spreading. Captain Li attempts to calm things by telling his grandfather that the Royal Princess situation has been resolved. But then he receives an urgent message that General Hu has been arrested. When he rushes to help, he instead discovers a horrific, bloody scene.Back in the village, trouble also arrives at the restaurant.A group of troublemakers start causing chaos and Manager Yu suddenly finds herself with no one to rely on. Eventually she’s taken into custody, but not before we get one of the most satisfying moments of the episode. The FL and the local thug boys step in and absolutely terrify the troublemakers. It’s chaotic, dramatic and incredibly satisfying to watch.Chef’s kiss.Favourite MomentThe FL and the village boys scaring off the troublemakers at the restaurant.Trope Check • ML secretly planning to leave • Protective ML with hidden identity • Miscommunication trope • Political unrest building • Fierce FL defending her people • Quiet romantic tension

I WAS LITEREALLY GAGGED AND IDC MUCH FOR THE WEIGHT LOSS; I'M USED TO HER LOOKING LIKE THAT. Let me say the acting is really good; PMY never fails when it comes to acting.

This episode clearly set the footing for the next phase. Even if I loved the romance scenes and the incredible chemistry between our leads, the world around them and beyond is in turmoil.Firstly, we finally heard the Grandfather's secret. To no surprise, it turns out Chang Yu's father wasn't his biological son. Da-da-da-daaam!Secondly, Wei Sheng’s organized killings of citizens are specifically designed to rile people up, turning them against each other and starting riots. At this point, I actually hope Qi Min will intervene to help Yu Qianqian, but that man and his intentions are still a total mystery to me.Thirdly, Xie Zheng has revealed his intentions to leave.Everything is changing; tension between factions is growing, and all the major figures are trying to make their moves at once. It’s inevitably leading to a massive clash. I’m waiting for tomorrow’s episodes—the drama is unfolding, and I want to be right there in the front row!

Pursuit of Jade Episode 14

Episode ThoughtsEpisode 14 starts with a very relatable situation — the FL gets a little drunk… okay, very drunk during the New Year celebrations. In her drunken state she ends up having a sweet and vulnerable moment with the ML. She rambles about how if you want a tiger cub you have to go into the tiger’s den first — her very roundabout way of saying she wants to get closer to him. It’s funny, adorable, and a little heartbreaking because she already believes he’ll eventually leave. They almost kiss again… but the moment is ruined when she passes out right before it happens. It’s pretty obvious by now that the ML has feelings for her too, but he’s still keeping his identity hidden while quietly plotting things in the background.Meanwhile Manager Yu brings her son over to celebrate New Year with the FL’s family. The kids head out to play in the snow but things take a slightly suspicious turn when a strange woman starts asking too many questions about Manager Yu’s son.Not long after, the mysterious man — Qi Min — confirms that the boy is actually his son.Which opens up even more questions.Manager Yu doesn’t seem to recognise him, and Qi Min makes the ominous comment that they can’t leave anyway, suggesting something much bigger is going on behind the scenes. He also seems very interested in building a relationship with the ML, possibly as part of his ambition to eventually become Emperor. And let’s just say… he kills people a little too easily. The episode then shifts into the Lantern Festival, giving us some lighter and really cute family moments with the FL, ML and little sister enjoying the festival together.Unfortunately the peaceful moment doesn’t last long. The FL’s ex-fiancé and his new woman show up and start causing trouble again. The ex still believes the FL has feelings for him which is honestly ridiculous considering the ML is standing right there.Thankfully the FL shuts him down with a satisfying verbal slap. And when the situation escalates, she and the ML even give him a small beating — which was extremely satisfying to watch.Back at court, things continue to move quietly in the background.General Hu has apparently been thrown into prison by a shady official, though the details are still a little unclear. Meanwhile the Royal Princess and Captain Li (Lord Li) both want absolutely nothing to do with the blind date being forced on them, so they come to an agreement to deal with the situation together. The episode ends on a more serious note. The headmaster arrives to warn the ML that the situation at court has worsened and he will soon need to return to his true identity. The ML agrees. But first he asks for three more days to stay with the FL and enjoy the festival together. And somehow that small request makes the looming goodbye feel even more painful.Favourite MomentThe FL drunkenly trying to confess her feelings to the ML.Trope Check • Drunk confession trope • Almost kiss interruption • Hidden identity ML • Festival romance scenes • Trash ex-fiancé humiliation • Political intrigue building

What I love about this series is the details. In portraying Mr Yun’s Alzheimers by him returning to his hometown is a suitable strategy for him. I liked how Mr and Mrs Xia put the photos on the wall which will jog Mr Yun’s memory. I really am loving this series. Xiaoman is also coming along well. He is so resilient in coping with his PTSD.

the dye job on Daotok is atrocious, who the frack is the hair stylist? they f*cked up his hair & the color is all blotchy - had to get that pff my chest, as is i am p*ssed at the hair stylist from Cat for Cash & how they messed up some of the character's hair - like WTF! ugh - ***************************************************************************************************************************anyway after such a long wait most of this ep was solving Do's case & getting his innocent gf released. which would've been cool, if they had gotten to the point & not dragged it out - why we need scenes of both Arthit & Daotok counseling her about letting her sorrow show? given the place she was in & as she was still incrassated, what was the point?!?? when she got released & cleared, then she would have enough time to lick her wounds, weep & cry to her hearts content. but ok - guess "we" have to fill 14 more ep's... meeh - i so hope the next ep's not gonna be Daotok helping each of the ghosts in that room solve their murders & it getting dragged out for a whole ep - especially not if it's like this ep - it was so obvious what "they" were doing - shoddy writing - sorry.

A lie can reveal the truth about a dark past. This is what Li Pei Yi did,but also hurted Xiao feelings. A new consort is being targeted by someone and I think it is another jealous cocunbine. Why would the camera focus on that old lady cocunbine? I am still waiting for Li Pei Yi discovering the truth about her past.

There were some difficult conversations in both episode 67 and 68, and they made me think a lot about my mom. Her life has not been easy. Like Oshin, she worked hard to support her family at a young age, not as young as Oshin though. She was also badly treated and used by her eldest brother and just cut off with him recently after. I’m so relieved now that I don’t have to meet that uncle and his children anymore at all. I never liked them in the first place and it was so frustrating to watch my mom get involved with them when they were just taking advantage of her all the time. I had some difficult conversations with my mom, asking her to leave my father several times. And she also said some similar words as Oshin’s mother, as she was worried she would become an issue if I loved someone and she would be a burden, an embarrassment to my marriage. How silly. Also, the way Oshin’s mom said she didn’t need anything other than her daughter’s happiness reminds me a lot of When Life Gives You Tangerines. I think this is another drama with strong messages about life, womanhood and motherhood. But I feel that this one is much heavier. Obviously, it’s an old drama released in the 80s. My mother also said she sacrificed her happiness for my own good. Anyway, both Oshin and her mother are strong women. Actually, I think a lot of female characters in this drama are strong women. So far I love most of them, but I haven’t liked any male characters yet.
