Selling Meat, Stealing Hearts

Episode 12 is packed with cute chaos, a sprinkle of mystery, and visuals that might as well come with a warning label because Zhang Ling He is once again dangerously handsome. One of the first highlights has to be Xie Zheng unintentionally turning the Fan family meat shop into the hottest spot in town. The man was simply selling meat yet somehow managed to gather a crowd of fangirls eager to buy anything as long as he served them personally. Honestly, girls, I relate. Chang Yu’s reaction watching all these women line up for her husband was priceless and Tian Xi Wei absolutely nailed every expression. Her face alone could carry a comedy scene and she looked ridiculously pretty while doing it. As for Zhang Ling He, he continues to serve visuals like it is part of his job description. I dare say Xie Zheng might be his most handsome costume drama role so far. Then comes the sugar rush of the episode with Chang Ning and Yu Qian Qian’s son, Yu Bao Er. Their first meeting quickly turned into a full blown kid adventure around the restaurant as they ran around playing hide and seek like two tiny tornadoes. The cutest moment arrives when they hide inside a chest to avoid Qi Min and end up falling asleep, with Chang Ning sleeping comfortably in Yu Bao Er’s arms. My heart practically did a little somersault. I cannot help but wonder if the writers are planting tiny seeds for a future connection between them, though the family titles might become a bit of a brain teaser since Yu Qian Qian is Chang Yu’s friend. Will Chang Ning call her older sister or mother in law someday? Perhaps that is exactly why the drama cleverly has Chang Ning call her Lady Fairy instead. Speaking of heart melting moments, the scene where the three of them walk home from the restaurant deserves its own round of applause. Chang Ning says she is sleepy, Chang Yu casually tells Xie Zheng that her sister is tired, and our man immediately gets the hint and carries her. It was cute on so many levels. The Fan siblings finally have a little family dynamic going on and someone they can rely on. Chang Ning now has a protective big brother figure and Chang Yu has someone who shares the burden with her. Also, Zhang Ling He carrying a small child is basically a cheat code for instant cuteness. But the episode is not just sweetness and comedy. We also get a fascinating glimpse into the mysterious connection between Yu Qian Qian and Qi Min. At first it seems strange that Yu Qian Qian does not recognize him at all, but it turns out the Qi Min she once knew always wore a mask, and the man from her past apparently had a scar and a different voice. Clearly there is a complicated history waiting to explode and I am very curious to see what really happened between them. Deng Kai continues to be the most charming walking red flag in the drama. As Qi Min he feels ruthless, obsessive, borderline psychotic, and extremely possessive of Yu Qian Qian, which explains why she is constantly fearful and protective of both herself and her son. Yet somehow Deng Kai brings this undeniable allure to the role. It is that classic bad boy charm that makes you shake your head at yourself while still being intrigued by the villain. Toxic? Absolutely. Entertaining? Also absolutely. I am both nervous and excited to see how his obsessive dynamic with Yu Qian Qian unfolds because this relationship is clearly sitting on a powder keg.

Now we are talking!

Loved this episode. We can see that FL's ideal type is a HYBRID MAN, so yes she gets a hybrid man indeed and man, the chemistry is good with him, both in VR as well as Real world. In Guk is so good in both the roles, we can see the differences, yest subtle similarities. Its about time, FL realize that her ideal type was always near her all the time. Loved this episode. This time music placement was good. The bar scene was hilarious.

Now that's what I call a cliffhanger!

Another great episode. I am so happy to see more screen time of Seo Kang Joon. The chemistry between him and Jisoo looks great. Eagerly waiting for next episode due to the cliffhanger.#----------------------------------SPOILERS AHEAD-------------------------------------------#It's about time that our ML gets more screen time. I also agree, that what this episodes have showcased might become reality (to this extent) someday where human will seek relationship virtually rather than committing in reality. Also, I love how FL depicted dilemma about knowing that whatever she is facing in the VR is actually a script, and yet she finally face it head on and want a customized VR BF. I need the explanation in next episode that why this custom VR BF looks like ML.

The Marquis Wu'an enters the stage

Zheng's love for Chang Yu reached yet another level in this episode, showing the Marquis of Wu'an's true ruthlessness toward that meat guy. I loved how he turned so fierce and protective, ready to kill just because that guy "wanted to scare her". Uff, the feels! I loved every single bit of it.I was so looking forward to seeing how the plot with Gongsun and the disguised scholar would evolve. This episode revealed her as the Grand Princess, Qi Shu. Gongsun recognized her and noticed the Empress Dowager An, using her as a distraction to lure Li Huai'an away from the Marquis. He had to give up his heart for that plan; I saw how sad it made him to lose the Go partner he had waited so long to meet. The Princess’s heart just broke as well from this unwanted separation. I really like this couple, and I hope the plot eventually works in their favour.I am still very intrigued by Yu Qianqian's background. Who was the man she married? Who is the father of her son? Who is she hiding from? It really looks like she and Qi Min have a history. Either way, the plot is thickening and slowly moving into the next phase. I expect a major shift soon, as way too many people now know the Marquis is alive. I can see the chessboard of the political game moving, and a war is clearly brewing.P.S. I just can't... the actor playing Zhou Ran, Han Yi Ting, looks so much like a young Hou Ming Hao... those eyes!

WORST ADAPTATION I EVER WATCH

Bad story. Bad acting. Not worth watching. The lead actress is nothing but a pretty face. Very shallow acting. The lead actor lacks charisma compared to the likes of Andres Mulach and Rabin Angeles. The scripts is also bad and so was the film direction. The Director is only known for directing sexy viva max shows. Such a disappointment. The cast lacks star power especially the male lead. Evident is her VERY FEW FOLLOWING IN ALL HIS SOCIAL MEDIA. Zeke Polina is known as THE WEAKEST LINK among all the VIVA leading man. He got the FEWEST FOLLOWERS in ALL SOCIAL MEDIA among other VIVA leading man.

Changing fates of slimy and slimier brothers😝

Omg these two are pieces of work. While timed conveniently it’s kinda hard to take in the level of machinations older brother went through to entrap WanZhi and her dad. I do not know how they made his injury so minimal after a chef’s knife in the back, but that aside, Han Bin has been slumming it in the hospital to waste as much of WanZhi’s and Mrs Li’s money as possible. They tried to push for attempted murder for XingKe. And after setting it up for WanZhi to apologize, Mr slimeball was to receive a certificate for bravery.😝🙄 The box of books he forced on her was a stash of 500k to get her dad in trouble for taking a bribe. WanZhi dealt with them bravely at the school and on the train. She had recorded slimier big brother’s threats and never opened the books. She proved what really happened and pleaded with the school board to let XingKe return to school. When she went home, her father was finally found by her mother’s memorial. She found out her dad had opened the book box and she tried calling everywhere to find him. Like his adopted daughter, he had a lot to say and no time to hear a response of what really happened. They have that in common. He accused her of trying to set him up with the Han family because he thought she wanted the money. WanZhi needed to hear it, but he needed to hear what went on at the school and the lunch. This could have been a nice reconciliation and a united front against the Han family, but like her father who stomped off, she runs to ShenZhen looking for a job in the city of opportunity. She did leave the recording with her Gma to clear her dad’s name so hopefully that will get resolved soon. She should have stuck around to make sure XingKe got out of prison or to find out how things were going with sentencing. On the train, she boldly told older brother to kill her or leave.😂 She’s an upright and intelligent young woman but her impulsiveness to run off and handle things on her own just gets a bit frustrating to watch. If she would just take a time out to get both sides of the story , the same for her dad, things could have been so much smoother for both of them. In ShenZhen she runs into a guy trying to get her to finish college and a phone call as episode ends with a job interview. She wants her real and self made fate to happen in ShenZhen.

not worth watching

Bad acting from the main leads. No wonder they have very few fans. All VIVA ONE adaptation all trended on their premiere episodes but this one, IT DID NOT TREND. The lead roles have very few following especially the guy Zeke Polina. He is considered the weakest link among the VIVA one Leading man. 5 months since the adaptation was announced, he still HAS VERY FEW FOLLOWERS on tiktok, instagram and facebook. Proof that he was a flop. It's better if they cast Andre yllana as the main lead.

such a disappointment

This series is a major letdown. No wonder it is flop. The only viva one adaptation that did not have an advance screening on it's premiere. The main lead actor lacks charisma. 5 months since the adaptation was announce, he still has VERY FEW followers in social media. His acting also si VERY BAD. Lot of workshop needed for the cast. Zeke Polina is Marco Gallo 2.0. All looks but sucks in acting.Very lousy acting from the lead roles. Bad screenplay also. It looks like a high school play. Low budget series.

bad acting and direction

Very bad acting. The lead actor and actress need to undergo a coprehensive workshop in acting.. Bad direction also. Not recommended. I heard that the director is a newbie in adaptation and is only good in directing sexy films only. VIVA should have hired a better director for this project. I was excited when this was announced that it will have an adaptation but after watching 5 episodes, i got disappointed. Very lousy acting from the lead roles. Bad screenplay also. It looks like a high school play. Low budget series.

best

This is a visual feast with a rock-solid plot. The chemistry is top-tier: Seo Kang-jun opens the show with dazzling charm, while Seo In-guk provides a grounded, soulful depth that anchors the story. Most importantly, Jisoo’s acting has reached a turning point. Her vocalization is stable, and her natural, "lovely" energy makes the character Seo Mi-rae truly shine. A binge-worthy rom-com that feels like a warm "full charge" for the soul!

Piqued interest

Episode 6 piqued my interest in this series, for the first time. From the midway point, to the final moment. I hope it continues on a more adult, less childish, route.
