Unhappy partners

He and Ran find themselves put together to investigate a case of 2 missing persons. Neither appreciate the arrangement. One is book smart, one is street smart. One is convinced something is wrong and needs investigated. The other thinks it’s a prank and not even a real case. The age gap between them doesn’t make for the best communication skills with each other either. He is very reluctantly drawn into the matter but still doesn’t think a real crime has taken place. End of episode we have a time jump and there’s another missing person at same place. This time Ran is the reluctant partner. The first case was never solved and he was so discouraged he went to educating rather than investigating. He knows Ran is the only one that will get it and ultimately gets him back to the site to investigate. Ya gotta love the hat gear comparison.😂I found this a fun and interesting premise to the drama.

Taking a break from work

Today’s episode was all about the hearing aid. While it seems absolutely ridiculous how it is found, in college years I actually helped a friend find her contact at a hayride , so finding needles in literal haystacks can happen. 😂 This entire project was MiYu’s brainchild. She feels responsible for its outcome and has already surmised the poor kid has a less than ideal home situation with a loud obnoxious mom and an aloof father. She wants him to do well because that is simply who she is. She goes the extra mile and finds it. When Ji arrived the first words out of his mouth should have been, “You scared the hell out of me going off by yourself. Please don’t ever do that again” He berates her yet again and she’s had enough of his backhanded caring. She collapses and finds herself in the hospital. Her friend helps her out and gets leave for her so she can just rest. MiYu’s mom is truly a piece of work. But if MiYu can teach her the benefits of working and earning for herself rather than conning and manipulating, that is a step in the right direction. The mom believes MiYu prefers Mr Tang, while I believe she prefers Mr Tang’s manners. She gets him to accompany her to MiYu’s quarters and blindsided MiYu with unexpected company. They have a nice chat about food and art over noodles which led to an invite to an exhibit in HongKong. She was figuring out a polite way to decline when Ji asks her to a weekend exhibition. She got to turn the tables saying she already had plans and accepts Tang’s offer. She makes sure to minimize the ambiance with her room choice etc but she enjoyed the change of venue and did have pleasant company. When she returns to work she learns the boy did well on his exam and the mom is now overly attentive. She just needs to calm down and go home ASAP. I am hoping they give MiYu one peaceful day at work just so she can experience the novelty of it. Personally, I am enjoying this drama. I love MiYu’s character and think the actress playing her is both stunning and doing a magnificent job bringing this character to life. This is not majority opinion, but I rarely side with them. If anybody is familiar with the old Tammy movies, this is similar in style to those with a twist.

i am happy

this is possibly one of the best written episodes in the series. kamiya is the bad son of this season. ucchi wasz a traditional showing of this type of story+line & it was okay. hyuga was a misstep but they got it right with kamiya. this is where kuma’s character of becoming a dad plays in this is where every set+up paid off 。・:*:・゚★,。・:*:・゚☆ 。・:*:・゚★,。・:*:・゚☆ kamiya was an ungrateful son & we fully focused in on that. we saw how his literal weak★ness spirals him down & isolates him from the people that love him & also nakama yukie aced her performance this episode jesus christ. this is the balance of being hard & caring for the ones you love. kamiya’s struggle to get what’s being said to him & then him taking the initiatives at the end was perfect 。・:*:・゚★,。・:*:・゚☆ 。・:*:・゚★,。・:*:・゚☆ i was scared they’d fuck it up ,i was REALLY scared when yamaguchi stepped up to get our fight of the episode but it was cut short so we can focus on what really matters this episode. i really loved this episode they did an amazing job

was kinda bored throughout this ep, maybe…

was kinda bored throughout this ep, maybe cause i am only interested in the main couple i kinda zone out when the other r on screen irk - either way i didn't get Guan Yu Chen apologizing to Li Ching Lung, when he was the one that just up a disappeared & made 3 people run around all day long searching for his sorry ass. i would be pissed. but glad they made up & cleared up everything. also didn't think that kiss was fitting a hug after everything that went on was better - they should've stuck to that. & i get that Hsieh Yu He is acting like a mean brat cause that's the only way she knows how to interact & gain any attention from Pu Le Chien, but she is getting on my last never with her cattiness & meanness - i can't stand females that hit males as if it doesn't hurt. that aint funny or cute.

One Stars

this was cute & fluffy, but it was anticlimactic & the passive aggressive behavior of Tim, cause Pai didn't show sings of wanting to wed, left a sour taste in my mouth. i get that this was the last ep, but i don't buy the need to rush into marriage & the talk about family.... what is the rush? they not in their 50's & no ones biological clock was ticking. also after the con, it would be logical for Pai & his family to want to tread lightly where Tim was concerned. so what if his parents didn't know about his shady business... they r the same people that abandoned their child & ran away to another country, wanting him to sell their house & deal with their(!) debtors. ************************************************************************************************************but it is what it is as this is the end, so we needed both couples to get married, so we get a happily ever after for both pairs. in North & Yu's case, it was more believable & organic - not with Pai & Tim. but whatever the end - cute but far from perfect & all the hype for this isn't justified IMO - sorry. a cute one off & even though i was here for Junior, Poon stole the show, he was the MVP throughout this BL.

Finally!

I rarely find the last episodes of C-Dramas as interesting and meaningful as this one was. I’m a bit upset that we didn’t see more about how the 4th sister's marriage continued, but overall the end and story as a whole were both fantastic.

Five Stars

The acting and storylines are top notch! Kudos to actors and production crews also the director Pepzi. Love Up and Poom acting and the chemistry between is undeniable. The episode is getting more interesting and I am waiting for the next episodes to air. I love Poom dancing skills which in my opinion is difficult to do and for Up the fighting skills is a must learned and they are both absolutely brilliant. I wish all the episodes will aired in one day so that I don't have to wait long for every Friday to come

I have been observing all your reviews in every episode and other series all you do is always looking for fault to condemn the series even when the episodes are perfect you never gave good reviews. I think it's better not to review at all than always condemning the actors. Bye have a great day

Very well done and entertaining!

The idea of pairing an experienced actor with a recent university graduate in one story isn't exactly groundbreaking, but in my opinion, it's exceptionally well-written and executed here. The mystery surrounding the people vanishing without a trace from a locked room and the portrayal of the neighborhood are highly entertaining. The casting is perfect, even in the smallest roles, and a huge shout-out to the petty criminals, whose performances are simply hilarious. A must-see!
