XiGuang’s garden plans are shaping up nicely and her team sees her as a solid leader. She is even planning on going to a seminar to hear one of the authors Lin had her research. She is becoming confident and is vibrant in the office even with Lin missing. Nobody knows exactly where he is or how long he will be gone. After the meeting she get;s Lin’s cards and letter. As she reads the letter, she remembers the banquet from two years ago. She has agreed to go, briefly, to represent her mom and say a few words to the host. While she is waiting, she hears an oafish businessman gossiping about her family and her mother in particular. I am surprised she didn’t throw her juice in his face, but she’s too polite. She says her greetings to the hosts and is edging her way to leave as soon as possible. She notes that Mr gossip is now trying to hand his card to her dad and she steps in. She very loudly reminds him of his choice words about her family. Her mother in particular. And that if those were his views, why would he show up to celebrate with the top businesswoman of the city? He tries to gloss it over but she really let him have it and topped it with that if those were his questionable views, than how trustworthy could his product be?👏🏻 She returns his card and Lin is smiling and enthralled with this spirited young woman before him. After reading his letter, XiGuang asks him to make a stop in Wuxi. She meets him on the platform and it is fun watching her get there early, buy snacks, and then wondering if she should have waited at the exit rather than platform. She follows him as he exits the train and he finally turns around. He is pleased and surprised that she actually got up early for him. They have breakfast out and she offers to take him sightseeing. She drives😂🤣 and he is silent when she missed a turn. This turns out to be a fortunate mistake because there is a picturesque path through the plum blossoms. He tries to explain himself and she looks him right in the eye and says ‘I am not moved at all. You could have asked me directly.” She is so bold and correct. This could have been avoided if he would have simply asked her straight up when he saw her. He still is struggling with never considering it wasn’t her. He is rarely so linear but in this one circumstance he never doubted he was right, but did ponder any possible reason she would not see him in hospital. He entertained them all because he wanted to be with her. She is forthright in saying their romance is a typical office one with a slight hiccup and then asks him quite directly if he wants to be with her. I love her sincerity and forthrightness. She refuses to not avoid being direct when it matters to her. He keeps bringing up the past and wishing his timing was better and she looks him in the eye and says they are together as of now going forward. She sees them so clearly and waiting for him to catch up that she’s all in with him. Their hug😍🥰❤️ I can’t wait til the banquet because I want to see these two step it up. Our power couple is about to arrive. She does give him the keys but promises to misdirect on purpose like motorcycle game🤣😂 Their moms would be doing a happy dance if they had seen this. 😁

Episode 24 carries a bittersweet tone as both the FL and ML deal with the aftermath of the lie that cost the ML his career. He chooses to step away to process his emotions, and what stands out is that he never doubts the FL herself — he could have handled losing his career, but losing it because of a lie hits far deeper.Their time apart becomes the catalyst for the FL’s realisation of just how deeply she feels for him. There’s a beautiful irony in the fact that she did meet him first, even if she didn’t realise it at the time, and that truth quietly reframes everything that came before. The FL’s father remains endlessly frustrating — still unable to see what’s really happening around him — and it honestly defies logic that he continues to succeed in business despite his complete lack of awareness. But setting that aside, the emotional payoff lands. When they finally come together, the ML worries her feelings might be rooted in guilt, only for the FL to stand firm and make it clear: this isn’t guilt, it’s choice — an office romance with a small twist.

Omg let the eye rolls begin with this mother/daughter fraudster duo. I don’t give a free flying for any of these three. Even this duplicitous gf knows Nie was a bad venture. The city magistrate she was with died early because those two probably sucked the very life force out of him. 😝 I was happy Nie found out from his real daughter the degree he’d been played. That he still makes excuses for the old gf is just a lost cause but at least the fake daughter is finally being shown the degree of thoughtlessness she had hidden. Her mother said how she lost an opportunity to become the gf had she played it up while he was in hospital. These two… Nie deserves them. XiGuang is so like Lin. She is worried for him and realizes how special he is. That he cared about her even believing she had done such a horrid thing. Her heart hurts for him and I can’t wait for their reunion. Her mom gives her a call because Nie deposited guilt money to her account. XiGuang chooses not to tell why because she doesn’t want to bring up the faux family. 😝Lin is off exploring desert sites and clearing his head. Knowingly or not, he is envisioning XiGuang’s sweeping vision of taking over the desert when she was informing him of all the things he had said and he called it her pipe dream.🤣 He is seeing how it could be possible and has even run into the right people to make it happen. Serendipity even in solitude. He knows XiGuang will appreciate the art and sends her postcards and a letter. Reminds me of Darcy. Another brooding tall dark and handsome writing a letter to the woman he loves when he thinks all may be lost but still hopes. We finally see to the second the woman that stole his heart. She comes in like a force to be reckoned with stepping in to take over whatever corporate disaster her father is enmeshed in. She is strong, confident and no nonsense. He truly was lost at the first sight of her. Had they not started off with the despicable three, this episode would have been perfection. These two were truly made for each other.

Episode 23 is deeply frustrating, particularly when it comes to the FL’s father and the woman and daughter he left her mother for. He is clearly surrounded by scheming people and yet remains completely blind to it. At this point, it’s hard not to acknowledge that the reason his business thrived was largely due to his ex-wife — the FL’s mother — which makes everything that followed even more heartbreaking. What truly hurts in this episode is seeing the impact on the ML. We’re given a glimpse into his past — his relationship with his father and grandparents, and the reason he wanted to become a surgeon in the first place. To realise that all of it was taken from him because of a lie, and that the person responsible shows no remorse, is a devastating blow. What remains endlessly irritating is the FL’s father’s selective awareness. While he’s quick to notice the scheming of his partner’s daughter, he completely fails to recognise the manipulation coming from his partner herself. It’s not just frustrating — it’s wilful blindness, and it continues to cause harm to everyone around him.It feels like this selective blindness is setting him up for a harsher reckoning, one where business, family, and long-buried truths finally collide.

kudos to how this episode ended, this drama has entered my all time favorite drama list 👏It was cinematic, unexpected but not outright a namesakes twist. I'm about to go rewatch both of today's episodes.

This drama really doesn't go the way people think. I keep getting surprised bc the plot goes the other direction. I may hate commander ji, but damn thanks to him Heiwu is now gone haha.

this ep was hard to sit through, cause i don't think Phi deserves all the bullying. we also got to see how he became the "mean-girl" he was, at the start of this BL. when he was taken for granted & treated like dirt, cause he was an intern. little wonder he developed walls & didn't let anyone push him around after he gained fame. it's a slippery slope & it's easy to mistake having high standers to being over bearing - depends on where u stand. *******************************************************************Phi as the boss demanded perfection & his subordinate's would have to deliver, though their best efforts weren't appreciated. personally i hope that when he gets promoted, he remembers everyone that didn't him wrong & doesn't give them a 2nd chance. maybe petty of me. but forgetting & forgiving is over rated! ***************************************************************everyone in that place is showing us, that no matter ur role when there is someone in a worse position, the majority will relish in demeaning u more & stepping on u just for the fun of it - the fact they justifying it as "Phi was once mean" is a b.s. copout, that's immature & not professional. *************************************************************************************************yeah Phi need's to be less strict & not bark orders, just cause they his subordinate's, but that doesn't mean he should grovel & kiss ass just cause they work under him. if he is in the wrong, then so r they - so i hope whatever the growth is on his part, it's with a new set of people (the ones that have come together to help him) all the old workers that acted like working with Phi was beneath them, can kick rocks for all i care... *************************************************************************************in this BL so far i have come to love Phi - he's totally the MVP of this show. no matter how Tam justifies breaking Phi's heart i can't seem to like him & this is new for me, cause until now i usually warm up to the character's that had to suffer Krist's character - who was usually very self centered.

And the plot thickens. The bait that has fallen for the fish! I don’t know how the fisherman feels about that! No

Toya loading his ramen with onions is exactly how onions deserve to be eaten. He may be a jerk, but this man is now my favorite character, and I will love him forever.

I'm really impressed with how tightly scripted and produced this show has been, at least so far through the first 7 episodes. They have avoided any lazy plot contrivances so far and every episode has made real plot progress. No dragging out of things to fill time. The action / fight sequences have been well choreographed and well paced. The cinematography, costumes and sets have been beautiful, resulting in some great visuals. And the acting is first rate - so many well-experienced actors in this cast. The nuances of the plot are being revealed very carefully. We get real information each episode yet the ultimate questions are still carefully buried. Hopefully this level of quality will continue throughout the rest of the series.

Spoilers Many regret their rash decisions. RSB evades her wedding night with the bullish, hotheaded undesirable suitor from the selection ceremony and turns to LJL for escape. Mr. Yan firmly rejects Second Sister again, but admits that she’s beautiful. Will these two be the next enemies-to-lovers trope? The scholar comforts Blind Sister who was derided by her fiancé, Mr. He. Is she regretting her choices now? Or is she still scheming something? Always hard to tell with this one. Outstanding drama!

Amazing episode! Spoilers below.RSB feels safe with LJL and falls asleep comfortably in his bed. Despite all his cheeky conniving, he’s actually an honorable and principled man. She kisses him, but he does not touch her. He truly wants to marry her in the right and proper way. The household wakes the next morning to find one of the suitors has been murdered. Everyone is questioned about their whereabouts. RSB and her maid are acting sketchy. They are desperate to find the bracelet that was stolen from WanWan’s (Sixth Sister) nanny-caretaker. The sisters rally around Fifth Sister when Mr. He threatened to beat her after learning she had been with the scholar the previous night. LJL gets his memory back when he recognizes the young magistrate sent to investigate the murder.

Everyone is sus. I like how the show is trying to call out the Entertainment industry and fan behaviors. I like how Chung Jae called out Se Na for acting like Ra Ik had never dated or been with someone at his age.
